UK FLUE REQUIREMENTS |

The flue must be installed in accordance with:
Manufacturers Installation Instructions
British Standards including BS5440
Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations
IGE/UP/10 Part1 Edition 2.
Building Regulation J
Such other specifications and regulations that may supersede or complement the above documents.
The flue must be installed by a competent, authorised person. It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that the unit has been installed to all current requirements.
Location of the appliance flue terminal must be in accordance with the clearances shown in BS5440-1:2000. This is shown in the appliance installation manual.

Rinnai Energysaver RHFE 308 FTR, RHFE 556 FTR, RHFE 556 T, and RHFE 1004 T

VERTICAL FLUES |

There are two types of vertical flue kit now available for the Energysaver Space Heater.
The first is a Behind Room Flue Kit. This is used when the Energysaver is installed on an internal wall. The flue runs through the internal wall and then turns vertical and runs up the internal wall in the room behind the room where the heater is mounted.
The second type of vertical flue is an In Room Flue Kit. flue must run up the wall in the same room as the heater. must be built off the wall by 150mm.

The maximum flue length is 9m less 0.5m per 450 bend and 1.0m per 900 bend. All lengths and bends to be included from the connections to the heater exhaust arm and air hose. Do not include the length or bend of the exhaust arm that is part of the heater in the calculation.
The minimum flue length must include at least 1.0m of concentric flue extension and the vertical terminal.
