Step 9. Drill four holes to 1/2” diameter using a
90º drill or drill attachment and step bit (See Fig 10). We suggest using a center punch on the marks you just made to aid in drilling. Care must be taken not to break the rear glass while using the center punch.
NOTE: If you don’t have access to a 90º drill, drill attachment or step bit you can pick them up at your local auto parts store.
Step 10. Align the drill template again on the package tray in the same manner as described in step 8. Slip four additional 3/8” hex head bolts through the drill template and holes you just drilled to hold the template in place. Roll the front edge of the template down against the seat back sheet metal and mark the remaining two holes to be drilled (See Fig 11). Remove the template and drill out the two holes using a 1/2” drill or step bit.

Step 11. Place the driver side trunk bar Part # 41170901 inside the trunk ush against
the seat back. Insert two 3/8” x 1¼” hex head bolts and washers through the reinforcement plate Part # 41170909, seat back and trunk bar from inside the vehicle. Secure with two Nyloc nuts and washers. Do not tighten yet (See Fig 12).
Step 12. Align the four holes in the driver side package tray bar, Part # 41170903 with those in the package tray. Insert four 3/8” x 1¼” hex head bolts and washers through the package tray bar, package tray and trunk bar. Secure with four Nyloc nuts and washers (See Fig13).
Do not tighten yet.
WARNING: When performing step 13 caution
must be taken not to puncture or damage any fuel or brake lines while drilling through the oor pan. Remove screws and clamps fastening the brake or fuel lines to the frame rail or
oor pan allowing them to be moved out of the
way. Both the driver and passenger sides lines must be moved before drilling.

Package Tray Bar (# 41170903)
Step 13. Position the inside edge of the
mounting plate 1/2” from the spare tire well (See Fig 14). Using the trunk bar mounting plate as a template, drill two pilot holes along the back edge of the mounting plate. One through the inboard hole and the other through the center hole of the mounting plate. The inboard and center mounting holes should straddle the frame rail. If necessary adjust the mounting plate to achieve the proper location and drill six 3/8” holes through the trunk pan.
Step 14. Install two reinforcement plates against the bottom of the trunk pan. The two hole plate, Part # 41260908, is mounted inboard board of the frame rail and the four hole plate, Part # 41170911 is mounted outboard of the frame rail (See Fig 14). Secure both reinforcement plates to the trunk bar using six 3/8” x 1¼” hex head bolts, twelve washers and six Nyloc nuts. Do not tighten yet.

Step 15. Repeat steps 8 through 14 for installation of the passenger side package tray bar Part # 41170902 and trunk bar
Part # 41170900.
Step 16. Remove the package tray bars and
install the package tray cover. Mark the eight package tray bar mounting holes and drill the package tray cover using a 3/8” bit. Reinstall the package tray bars but Do not tighten yet.
NOTE: Remember to install all bars before
nal tightening.
Step 17. Remove all screws attaching the scuff plate and wire trough cover to the door sill (See Fig 15). Retain the screws for reinstallation.
Step 18. Roll back the carpet in the rear seat
exposing the oor pan. Initial tment of the
main hoop mounting brackets must be done under the carpet. Final installation can be done under or over the carpet. Place the driver side main hoop mounting bracket Part # 41190902
on the oor pan with the upper and lower tabs ush against the wire trough body seam and oor pan. Center the two inboard mounting plate holes on the oor pan between the seat
and foot wells (See Fig 16).
WARNING: When performing step 19 caution
must be taken not to puncture or damage any fuel or brake lines while drilling through the oor pan. Remove screws and clamps fastening the brake or fuel lines to the frame rail or
oor pan allowing them to be moved out of the
way. Both the driver and passenger sides lines must be moved before drilling.
Step 19. Mark and drill the ve mounting holes
using a 3/8” bit (See Fig 17). On some models the hole in the lower tab of the mounting bracket will align with a preexisting 5/16 hole
in the oor pan. If this is the case, use the 5/16” x 1 ¼” bolt, Nylok nut and at washer to
secure the bracket and reinforcement tab
Part # 41190900 to the oor pan. Drill pilot holes rst to ensure proper mounting location
of the bracket. We suggest using a center punch to aid in drilling.
