to the factory or serv i ce depot when replacement or the optical subsys t em is required.

PCL printer drivers
Printer drivers allow the computer to communicate with the printer using a
printer language. Two kinds of PCL printer drivers, PCL 6 and PCL 5e, are
included in the CD-ROM that comes with this printer. We recommend the
PCL 6 as your first choice. However, some of your applications might require
installation of the PCL 5e printer driver. In this case, you can install PCL 5e in
addition to the PCL 6.

Adobe PostScript Printer Drivers and PPD files
Adobe PostScript printer drivers and the PPD files are included in the CDROM that comes with this printer. Adobe PostScript printer driver allows the
computer to communicate with the printer using a printer language. The PPD

The guides of the output tray minimize curled printed output. Use these guides
when you print on A3

To print onto A3L and 11" × 17"L size paper
Raise the end fence.

If either side of paper is curled, or if you print onto the thin paper

CAUTION:
Before installing options, the machine should be turned off and unplugged

for at least thirty minutes. Components inside the machine become very
hot, and can cause a burn injury if touched.
Before moving the machine, unplug the power cord from the outlet. If the
•
cord is unplugged abruptly, it could become damaged. Damaged plugs or
cords can cause an electrical or fire hazard.
When lifting the machine, use the grips on both sides. The machine could
•
break or cause an injury if dropped.
