first print speed guarantees your document hits the delivery tray by the time you get there.
Administrators are in total control as this printer warns them of actions to be taken – using
a method they choose – even e-mail notification is included. For remote troubleshooting and
management, there is a web server on board. In addition to an attractive hardware price,

Connectivity: What Do You
Use?
The Aficio™AP400/AP400N connects to virtually
anything with just about everything. There is a
standard parallel interface for direct connection
to legacy computers and a network board for
Ethernet 10 base-T/100 base-TX (option for the
Aficio™AP400). You can also install IEEE 1394,
IEEE 802.11b (Wireless LAN) and Bluetooth
for the ultimate in connectivity.
Enterprise Level Administration Capabilities
With its built-in web server, you can manage
the Aficio™AP400/AP400N from a browser,
even over the Internet if you wish. The remote
control feature allows for troubleshooting and
even e-mail alerts to be sent to the administrator.
The Aficio™AP400/AP400N is the perfect
printer for small workgroups. It is fast,
inexpensive and robust. Users can change
paper and toner themselves. TCO is low.
All main connection protocols can be used.
And the enclosed software solutions are
enterprise level and easy to use for both
administrator and user.
High Productivity
Although the Aficio™AP400/AP400N is
competitively priced, Ricoh has been generous
on performance and features. With a first print
speed of 7.5 seconds and 25 pages per minute,
the Aficio™AP400/AP400N enables you to enjoy
high productivity. Even when using the optional
duplex unit for double-sided printing, the
Aficio™AP400/AP400N maintains its simplex
speed. Ricoh's printer language RPCS™ offers
an icon-based interface: any print job is only
one click away. Using RPCS™, a productivity
increase of up to 30% can be achieved.
Minimal Follow-up Required
When the Aficio™AP400/AP400N is installed,
it takes care of itself. Its standard 500-sheet
paper tray and 15,000-sheet toner yield will
keep the Aficio™AP400/AP400N printing for
days on end.
Large Choice of User Installable Options
Possibly you may wish to expand your printer.
The Aficio™AP400/AP400N offers optional
paper feed units that can be added for a total
capacity of 1,600 sheets. A duplex unit to save
paper and an envelope feeder are available
too. Installation is easy: just “click” in place,
no additional tools required. All these features
combined make the AP400/AP400N ideal for
printing professional documents.
