The DF registration senso r is activated by paper dust on the sensor pad, affe cting its color. This is because, when the
original roller starts rotating, the DF upper plat e is warpe d sligh tly downwa rd. The clearance between the DF
registration senso r and the sensor pad is reduced. To prevent this the pull-out bracket ha s bee n modified to improve
the clearance.
