The shift tray positioning roller cannot be pushed up by the shift tray if it is removed while servicing. If the main switch is turned on under this condition, the shift tray motor starts rotating but it does not stop. Then, the shift tray holder continues to be lifted up. This may cause the driving parts to be damaged.
To correct this, the production machines have been modified as follows:
1.The switch bracket has been installed on the shift tray holder so that the switch bracket pushes up the shift tray positioning roller even if the shift tray is removed.
2.Holes for installing the switch bracket have been made on the shift tray holder. However, its part number remains the same.

Due to paper curl, stapled copies may sometimes roll up on the shift tray and therefore may not stack well. |
|
||||||||||||||
To minimize the possibility of this, the |
program of the ROM on the main control board has been modified |
|
|||||||||||||
so that the exit speed of the stapled |
copies has been increased from 450 mm/sec |
to 610 mm/sec. |
|
||||||||||||
This results in the stapled copies being stacked further out on the shift tray than before. |
|
|
|
