To facilitate SPD #430 and #431 adjustment.
Modification
The service manual describes tha t the data of SPD430 is "800" and SPD4 31 is "300 " (SP D43 0: Transfer belt
discharge voltage, SPD431: Separation corona voltage). However, th ese SPD’s were adjusted at the factory
to other parameters for stabilizing the outpu t voltag e of the powe r packs. So, to fix the parameter of these
SPD, the power packs have been modif ied .

A layer (70µm) of new material is added under th e surface layer of the hot roller. This layer stops silicon oil
from seeping inside the hot roller and stabilizes the diameter of the hot roller. This is effective to keep the
mimizu from appearing on the copy image.
Adjustment for the new hot rolle r
The adjustment proce dure for the nip band, the main moto r sp ee d, and the fusin g un it po sitio n are ex act ly
same as that for the old hot roller.

1. Hot Roller
1) The hardness of the hot rolle r su rfa ce ha s bee n decreased.
2) The diameter of the hot roller has been decreased from 4 4. 7mm to 44. 5mm.
2. Pressure Roller
1) The hardness of the pressure surface has been increased.
