To keep the appropriate fusing temperature for a longer time, the wattage of the large wattage fusing lamp
has been increased from 950W to 1000W. At the same time, the wattage of the small wattage fusing lamp

DETAILS OF MODIFICATION
The stop positions of the jogger fences may sometimes vary slightly due to the inertia of the jogger fences.
We also found that the load torque of the jogger motor varied during copy runs if the jogger pulley bracket was fixed
by screws, To correct this, the production machines have been modified as follows:
1, The width of the timing belt (index 24) has been changed from 6mm to 4mm.
2. The jogger fence spring has been installed on (index 32), The dimensions of screw holes of the jogger pulley
bracket (index 23) have been changed. The fixing screws for the jogger pulley bracket have been changed to
stepping screws.
Please refer to RTB10.
Old parts cannot be supplied anymore, so when replacing the old part, change items
23, 24, 32 and 110 as a set,

DETAILS OF MODIFICATION
It was reported from the Japanese field that the duplex stack shaft was “
broken. To increase the durability and reliability of the duplex stack
shaft, the production machines have been modified as follows:
1. The configuration of the duplex stack shaft has been changed.
a) The three grooves (A) for the retaining rings have been removed.
b) The diameter of the groove (B) for the retaining ring has been
changed from 4 mm to 5 mm.
c) The groove (C) for the collar has been added.
2. The three retaining rings have been eliminated.

It has been reported tha t the stepped screws
of the inner covers were sometime s broken
because of the retaining ring groove.
To correct this, the production machines have
been modified as follows:
1. The stepped screws have been changed
to normal truss head screws.
2. The retaining rings of the by-pa ss fee d
inner cover and left upper inner cover
have been changed to fla t nu ts of a nylon
type.
3. The retaining rings of the right middle
inner cover, right lower inner cover, and
transport inner cove r have been
eliminated.

DETAILS OF MODIFICATION
To increase durability and reliability of the pressure levers, the prod uct ion machines have been modified as follo ws:
1. The shaft press-fitted into the lower lever ha s been elimin ated .
Instead, a pressure leve r shaft and a retaining ring ha ve be en insta lled.
2. The cutout has been made in the upp er pre ssure lever. The pressure lever shaft fits into this cutout.

When an inner cover is removed, the Interlock
Switch Lever [A] can be opened more tha n 90
degrees. In this condition, if the fron t door is
closed strongly, the lever will be bent.
To prevent this, the Lever Return Spring [B] is
added to each Interlock Switch Lever so that if
the lever is opened more than 90 degrees, th e
spring returns it.
To hook the spring a notch [C] is added to each
Interlock Switch Bracket [D] . However, the part
number of the bracket rema ins the same. If the
bracket does not have a notch , it should be
replaced to be able to inst all th e spring to the
new one. (All the service parts have already
changed to new ones.)

DETAILS OF MODIFICATION
In the factory test, RDH unit malfun ctio n occurred due to static electricity. To improve the ma rgin against the static
electricity, the production machines have been mod ifie d as follows:
1. The grounding plate spring and one screw have been installed on the mag ne t holder plate (A3522630)(Rear one ).
2. For the above reason 1, a screw hole and proje ction have been made on the magne t ho lde r p lat e an d the dimensions
for it have been changed. Ho weve r, the part number remains the same. The same modification has been applie d to
the front side of the magnet holder pla te due to the parts sta nd ard ization. When the grounding plat e spring is
installed on the old machine , replace the magnet holder plate with a new one.

the side fence collar may be deformed . Th is cause s roug h side
fence movement.
To correct this, stepped screws and mylar seals (Mylar - 6.3 x 12)
have been installed instead of th e side fence collars and screws.
