Retrofit Information
To enable DF57 to be installed on the NC-X (A072 copier), the following modification is
applied to the Mounting Bracket.
A screw hole and a positioning hole to accept a DF halfway sensor actuator (P/N
A3181530) are added to the Mounting Bracket. The part number of the mounting bracket
has been changed from A4651195 to A3181195.

Without this new mounting bracket, the NC-X cannot detect the original size correctly when
the original is set manually on the exposure glass and the following functions do not work:
APS (Auto Paper Select)
ARE (Auto Reduce and Enlarge)
Therefore, install DF57s with the following serial numbers (and onward) to NC-X copiers.

We have informed of two kinds of phenomena regarding key counter operation from the
field. We have modified the software to solve the both phenomena.

Phenomenon #1 A3/DLT double copy count function
Under the following conditions, the key counter has always been incremented by one
instead of two. From "E" version ROM, increments by two will be available when an
A3/Double letter size copy is made.
Condition:
1. SP82-1 (A3 double count) : 1 (double count mode)
2. SP77-5 (Key counter management): 1 (enable)
3. SP77-7 (Scan / Copy counter selection): 0 (copy count)

Phenomenon #2 A3/DLT double scan count function
Under the following conditions, the key counter incremented by one less than the actual
scan number.
1. SP82-1 (A3 double count) : 1 (double count mode)
2. SP77-5 (Key counter management): 1 (enable)
3. SP77-7 (Scan / Copy counter selection): 1 (scan count)
4. Only the first copy of the continuous copy run

As the result of our check in our inventory, the occurrence ratio is approximately 6%.
The suspected lot is as follows:
