Safety instructions

These operating instructions will help you to get to know your S800 coffee machine and to use it in accordance with its intended use. They contain important information on how to operate the S800 properly and safely. Your attention will help to avoid hazards, repair costs and inconvenience due to the machine being out of service. This will increase the reliability and service life of the S800.
1. These operating instructions must always be available where the S800 is being used.
2. Everyone who works with the S800 must have read these instructions and must apply them.
3. In the event of unforeseen interruptions in operation, the machine must be switched off and the water cock must be closed. No liability will be accepted for water and electrical damage caused by the failure to comply with this instruction.
4. A safe step must be used if a bean container into which the beans are poured is too high.
5. Beware that the dispensers remain hot for a considerable time after the machine has been switched off.
6. The S800 coffee machines for the coffee section must be cleaned only with the recommended cleaning tablet with the article number 57022 or 57003. The milk section must be flushed only with the recommended Cappucleaner with the article number 57045 or 57046. The manufacturer can not be held liable or bear any responsibility should any other cleaning products be used on our coffee machines.
7. The milk module may only be moved by a trained service technican.
8. If the refrigerator has been unplugged it is necessary to wait minimum 5 minutes before switching on. Otherwise the compressor will overheat (fire hazard).
9. The machine must never be opened or repaired by an unskilled person, as otherwise there is a danger of injury or damage to the machine.
10.
Risk of explosion: Never spray into the machine. CFC-free propellants are often flammable.
11. Neither the supplier nor the manufacturer can accept liability for accidents or damage caused by the failure to comply with these safety instructions.

Important information and installation instructions
1. Conditions of use of the S800
The S800 is designed for commercial use. This machine is only suitable for use in the domestic sector under certain circumstances.
2. Service life
The service life of the S800 depends on the use to which it is put, daily cleaning and maintenance by a works-trained service technician as specified (service life 6 - 8 years).
3. Various notes on installation
The S800 shall only be installed by a trained service technician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by incorrect installation. The machine must be installed in a location away from directly trafficked areas. The coffee machine must be installed on a solid table which must be able to bear its weight under all circumstances.
4. Table cut-out (see technical data page)
5. Electrical instructions
An electrical outlet or a main switch operating on all poles with a minimum contact opening of 3 mm shall be installed on the site. The S800 must be protected by a separate fuse group. In accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, in wet and damp rooms, the outlet to which the S800 is connected must be protected against power supply faults. CAUTION: Breaks in the neutral conductor can destroy the control unit.
6. Water pressure / water quality
Maximum 3.5 bar, minimum 2.5 bar (maximum 350 kPa, minimum 250 kPa). A pressure outside the values prescribed will impair the functioning of the machine. Where water hardness exceeds 10 dH° / 17 fH°, it is recommended that the machine be operated with a water softening cartridge with a bypass (such as Brita Quell). The optimum overall hardness for coffee is 5 - 8 dH°.
7. Protecting the control unit
The connectors for the control unit must never be connected or disconnected when live. The connector for the heating must be disconnected before installation to protect the heating system. The boiler must first be filled with water.

Combinated cleaning of coffee- and milk part (RCT, RCST)

There is a possibility to clean the coffee- and milk part at the same
time. For that function the cleaning key has to be pressed, then a mix- or milk product key has to be pressed and left, then a coffee product key has to be pressed and left. The order Insert tablet appears on display. After insert of the Rex-Royal cleaning tablet (57002), the for the milk cleaning necessary steps have to be fulfilled (note point 1 and 2 of the milk cleaning). Before indication of the cleaning the display indicates coffee- and milk cleaning counter for a short time. After fulfilled coffee cleaning the milk-/foam outlet has to be cleaned (according to point 3 of milk part cleaning).
The coffee cleaning will be completed in background. That means
during the whole procedure cleaning liquid flows, in periodic intervals out to both coffee outlets. Appears e.g. the message Fill con- tainer with 1.5 liter water on display, the milk cleaning container can be taken off. Please note that the refrigerator door has to be closed immediately, as otherwise coffee cleaning liquid flows out to the buffet.
Remark:
The quantity of liquid during the cleaning and the rinsing is electronically supervised, that means if to less liquid has been refilled, the cleaning/ rinsing order appears again. This supervision avoids that the pump will work dry (without water)!

Tip
1. The door of the refrigerator should be opened for a short time only, as otherwise ice can be buided up in a very short time.
2. If icing happened already, the door has to be closed and the interior has to be checked after about 30 minutes again. If the iceing is advanced the cooler has to be defrosted. The refrigerator has to be plugged off. Open the door to accelerate the defrosting. As soon as the ice is defrosted the interior can be dryed with a cloth. Close the door and plug in the refrigerator.

Automatical order for milk part cleaning (RCT, RCST)

If requested, the milk part cleaning can be forced. That means, that
on a of the customer selected time a milk part cleaning order appears on display. If after a definated time the cleaning will not be completed, the machine blockes the product dispensing as long as the milk part has ben successfully cleaned. For details of programming note pages 24 and 25.

customers requests concerning strength, brand, kind, roast etc.  Never let coffee beans laying open.
Close the bean container immediately after refill. Never refill the

Start a double coffee after the rising and through it away. With that
the first dispensed coffee is in optimal quality.

The cleaning of the S 800 is very important. A daily cleaning is fast completed. It guarantees an optimal taste neutrality and a longer duration of life of the machine.
