NOTES AND CA UTIONS:
This setup guide will guide you through the steps needed to properly connect a
Revolabs Single Channel System to a Polycom VSX8000e video codec.

Note:
It is important to carefully follow these instructions in order and completely.
Otherwise your Single Channel System and/or the video codec may not function
properly. Please read through these instructions completely before proceeding.

Requirements for connecting systems:
1. Revolabs Single Channel System
2. Revolabs 2.5mm to RCA Audio Cable (included with Single Channel)
3. Polycom VSX8000e video codec
*POLYCOM VSX 8000 SERIES VIDEO CODECS HAVE PHOENIX CONNECTORS FOR LINE INPUT WHILE THE REVOLABS
SINGLE CHANNEL SYSTEM USES RCA CONNECTORS FOR AUDIO INPUT/OUTPUT. A TECHNICIAN COULD SIMPLY CUT
OFF THE ENDS OF THE 2.5MM TO RCA AUDIO CABLE AND CONNECT PER THIS DIAGRAM (REFERENCED FROM THE
POLYCOM INTEGRATOR’S REFERENCE MANUAL FOR THE VSX SERIES VERSION 8.7, AUGUST 2007):

CONNECT ING A REVOLABS SINGLE CHANNEL SYSTEM TO P OLYCOM VSX8000E VIDEO CODEC
1. Connect a Revolabs 2.5mm to RCA audio cable between the 2.5mm analog
output on the Single Channel System and the red “LINE INPUT ” Phoenix
connector on the VSX8000e.
Configuring the VSX8000e Video Codec
CONFIGURING THE A UDIO MENUS OF T HE VSX8000E VIDEO CODEC
1. Select SYSTEM
2. Select ADMIN SETTINGS
3. Select AUDIO
4. Set INPUT TYPE to LINE INPUT
5. ENABLE Echo Canceller
6. DISABLE Polycom microphones by removing checkmark on ENABLE
