
Revolabs HD Single / Dual Channel System — Polycom HDX 9004 Setup Guide
This setup guide will guide you through the steps needed to properly connect a
Revolabs HD Single or Dual Channel System to a Polycom HDX 9004 video codec.
Note:
It is important to carefully follow these instructions in order and completely.
Otherwise your Revolabs Microphone System and/or the video codec may not function
properly. Please read through these instructions completely before proceeding.

Requirements for connecting systems:
1. Revolabs HD Single or Dual Channel System
2. Polycom HDX 9004 video codec
3. QTY 1 3.5mm balanced male connector to 3-pin mini Phoenix connector

Revolabs either recommends using the Revolabs 07-35MBTOMPHX-01 6’ 3.5mm balanced
male connector to 3-pin mini Phoenix connector cable, or cutting the end off an 1/8” cable and
attaching the green Phoenix connector as shown above.

Connecting the Cables
1. Insert the balanced 3.5mm male connector to the CH 1 OUT port on the Single
or Dual Channel System. If using a Single Channel, DIP Switch #1 should be
“OFF”. If using a Dual Channel, DIP Switch #1 should be “ON”.
2. Insert the green mini Phoenix connector into the red “AUDIO INPUT 1”
3. Verify that DIP Switch #3 (mic/line) is “OFF”

Configuring the Polycom HDX 9004 Video Codec
1. Select SYSTEM
2. Select ADMIN SETTINGS and enter the Administrator password (if needed)
3. Select AUDIO
4. Select AUDIO SETTINGS
5. Disable POLYCOM MICROPHONES by removing the check mark. Having Revolabs and
Polycom microphones may increase ambient noise, add to echo cancellation problems, and
reduce articulation
6. Verify LIVE MUSIC MODE is disabled by removing the check mark. Polycom noise
suppression is turned off when this is active
7. Select INPUTS/OUTPUTS
8. Confirm or modify the following settings:
• INPUT TYPE is LINE INPUT
• INPUT TYPE LEVEL is 50% or 5
• ECHO CANCELLER is ON
9. Press OK to save all changes
