Revolabs FusionTM Microphone System — Polycom FX Setup Guide
This setup guide will guide you through the steps needed to properly connect a Revolabs Fusion Microphone System to a Polycom FX video codec.
Note:
It is important to carefully follow these instructions in order and completely. Otherwise your Fusion Microphone System and/or the video codec may not function properly. Please read through these instructions completely before proceeding. Con­tact Revolabs technical support if you have any questions.
Requirements for connecting systems:
1. Revolabs Fusion 4 or 8 channel Microphone System
2. Polycom FX Video Conferencing System
3. QTY 2 RCA male — RCA male cable
4. Amplified Speakers
NOTE: These instructions may also be used for older Polycom video codecs such as the ViewStation MP, ViewStation 128, ViewStation 512, VS 4000 etc.

Connecting the Cables
1. Connect a Male RCA to RCA audio cable between the RCA “CONF OUT” port on the Fusion and the “AUDIO IN” port on the FX.
2. Connect a Male RCA to RCA audio cable between the “CONF IN” port on the Fusion and the white “AUDIO OUT” port on the FX.
3. Connect a Male RCA audio cable between the “Room Out” port on the Fusion and the Amplified Speakers.

NOTE: You must use your Fusion remote control to control the room volume for both the audio and video conference calls. Adjusting the volume in the video codec will cause echo.

Configuring the Polycom FX Video Codec
1. Select SYSTEM INFO from the Main Calling Screen
2. Select ADMIN SETUP
3. Select PHONE/AUDIO
4. Uncheck the VCR AUDIO OUT ALWAYS ON box
5. Verify that ECHO CANCELLATION is OFF
6. The Viewstation FX does not have a way to modify the input volume from the Fusion. If additional volume is needed, activate the appropriate Fusion DIP switch to increase the Fusion CONF OUT output level by 6dB
