Remote Monitoring/Communicating Intruder Alarm System
CONTROL PANEL SIM CARD
IMPORTANT NOTES
to be read prior to system set-up
1. Prior to setting up your G5 system you must:
a. Have available a mobile phone together with either a PAYG or Contract regular size SIM Card, on the network of your choice (important: check with your network provider that the SIM Card is 2G enabled) b. Know the SIM Card telephone number c. Ensure the SIM Card has available credit d. Turn off/disable the voicemail function and PIN request
NOTE:
A SIM Card is required to program the alarm panel from your mobile phone (This may take as many as 25 text inputs and a further 25 text replies). Once programmed, the SIM Card can be removed from the alarm panel if the remote phone functions are not required. Please consider that most mobile tariffs include free texts or a generous monthly allowance (you will not need any data allowance).
I. Installing the Control Panel
1. Carefully remove the battery cover at the back of the unit using a flat-bladed screwdriver.
2. Plug the power socket into the unit and Power Supply/plug into a suitable 13 amp socket.
3. Insert a standard size SIM Card (with credit) into the SIM Card holder.
4. Set the units ON/OFF’ Switch to ON.
5. Refit the battery cover, ensuring the power supply cable sits within the channel and exits through the top of the battery compartment.
6. The GSM indicator (LED) will flash once every second for a short period and will then flash once every two seconds indicating that the GSM signal has been found. You can now register your mobile phone to the Control Panel.
If the LED flashes every second (GSM signal not found) power down the Control Panel, remove the SIM Card and wait 30 seconds. Insert the SIM Card again and allow 1 minute for the signal to be found, indicated by a flash once every 2 seconds.
7. Follow steps II to IV to install/set-up the accessories.

Refer to the systems full instruction manual for detailed programming
1. Open the battery compartment cover using a flat-bladed screwdriver and remove the activation strip.
2. Self-testing will commence once the battery activation strip is removed. Flashing continuously = self testing state. Flashing once indicates that movement is detected.
3. Fit the detector in a position that will cover your desired protection area, orientation as per diagram opposite.
4. To test, walk in front of the detector - the LED should illuminate. When in its working state, if the detector is triggered more than twice in 3 minutes, it will enter into power saving (sleep mode). If no movement is detected within the next 3 minutes, the detector will return to normal working mode.
1. Slide down the battery compartment cover using a flat-bladed screwdriver and remove the activation strip.
2. Remove one side of the double-sided tape and fix the tapes to the back of the Magnet and Transmitter.
3. Remove the paper strips and mount the magnet on the door and the transmitter on the door jamb (small triangles adjacent to each other) with less than a 6 mm separation between the two. When opening the door a small red indicator lights up briefly, this indicates that the Transmitter has sent the signal to the Control Panel.
The system can be quickly disarmed by holding the RFID Tag to the RFID reader.
II. Installing a Door/Window Contact
III. Installing a Wireless PIR
IV. Remote Control Operation
V. RFID Tag Operation
1. Press the Arm Button on the Remote Control
2. The Control Panel will sound every 2 seconds to indicate that it is armed, allowing 30 seconds to exit the premises.
3. The sound will intensify in tempo for the last 15 seconds to warn that system activation is imminent.
