02 Products Introduction
DAM-800 8-channel digital automatic mixer is the perfect combination of digital control technology
and digital signal processing, high-performance DSP core design, fully automatic operation, without
manual intervention.
Digital automatic mixer with automatic checking and tracking each microphone input state,
automatic gain adjustment. For the output of microphones which are not in the working state will be
“attenuated" (closed). When detect that the microphone is with input, it will be "enhanced" (open) the
output. At any time, try to avoid opening multiple microphones that will deteriorate sound quality. To
minimize the number of open microphones to suppress background noise and improve speech
intelligibility.
Digital automatic mixer easy to install, simply set in the meeting spot, which can play function automatically without complicated setup tasks. And can choose the automatic shutdown function or
manual function that forces to shut down the mic as needed, under the guidance of the MASTER,
enabling meeting proceeded smoothly. Support multiple cascading, full intelligent meeting management,
with AES digital audio output interface, can easily form a powerful, easy-digital intelligent conferencing
system.
Key Features
Eight independent channels, allowing the gain adjustment for each channel.
Noise Adaptive Threshold (NAT) manages the audio system by distinguishing dynamic audio (such as
speech) and the noise floor (such as air conditioning). It continuously adjusts the activation threshold,
so that only speech level louder than the background noise can open a channel.
Digital mode linking, up to 16-unit daisy chain by accessory link cable to allow maximum 128 channels
operation. And the circuit can count the gain which is the most suitable to whole system, effectively avoiding the feedback.
Last Mic Lock On. The last opened channel remains open until another one takes its place.
Full digital signal processing. Built-in low-pass and high-pass filter, MagicEQ, 8*2 matrix. Basic
function can be operated on the panel. For additional detail setting, connect the mixer to a PC with
specific software.
48V phantom power individually selectable for each channel, either line or microphone input available.
Besides the two analog outputs, the system is with AES digital audio output port, allowing the
connection to digital recording system.
The mixer can connect to a PC by TCP/IP or Android phone by WIFI for remote control, remote
diagnostics and upgrades. Specific software is included with every DAM-800.
5 parts of custom equalization for each channel, allowing the setting of frequency and gain.
Independent low-pass and high-pass switch for each channel.
RS-232 ports allow the connection to external control and video tracking system.

05 Instructions of Installation and Connection
1Multiple mixers cascade
When multiple mixers are used simultaneously, hand-in-hand connect the LINK IN and LINK OUT port on the rear panel with “S terminal cable”, the maximum cascading is 16 units. (As shown in Fig).
Connect the mixer, daisy chain function automatically open. Then you can choose the mixer
MASTER and slave, and the audio output of slave is through the MASTER audio output port.
2Mixer connect to video tracking system
DAM-800 8-channel digital automatic mixer can connect to the VTS-1000 video tracking system by
the RS-232 port to achieve the video conference.

Logical control mostly used on control outer inputs and outer outputs: Control inputs (IN): when external control input high level to the pin of certain channel, the channel gate
will be compulsorily open; when external control input low level to the pin of certain channel, the channel gate will be automatically tested; the gate will be open only when AF signals get through it. Control outputs (OUT): when the microphone is open, the pin of this channel will output high level. When the microphone is mute, the pin of this channel will output low level.
06 Operation Instructions
DAM-800 8-channel digital automatic mixer with 60-section digital potentiometer design, each digital potentiometer can select the corresponding function.
Such as CH1, as follows
Rotate the encoder switch to adjust the volume of AF input, press the encoder switch, then LED light will twinkleit indicate enter menu selection modethen rotate the encoder switch to choose corresponding function. For example: The LED light is twinkle, it indicates select “on” function, then press the encoder switch again, the “on” function is enabled. If the “on” green light is on, it indicate the priority speak mode is enabled, if the “on” light is off, it indicates the automatic test mode is enabled.

07 Total installations and debugging
Connect the external device and microphone, can be installation and debugging the mixer. 1 Cascade multiple mixers simultaneously, through "S terminal cable" on the rear panel LINK IN, LINK
OUT terminal hand in hand connect. After connect the mixer, cascade function open automatically, and then you can choose the MASTER and slave of the mix. And the audio output of slave is through the MASTER audio output port.
2 The 8-channel of the mixer is all select the microphone input mode, it is that the 8 channels all have
48v voltage output.
3 Please turn the 8-channel volume to the“12 clock”positionif the 8 channels use the microphones
with different sensitivity, please turn the 8 channels’s volume to the same.
4 Test to the channel without set prior speak, if the all 8 channels without set prior speak.
Test method: only can open the channel with input signal, it is one channel among the 8 channels. Speak to the 8 channels one by one. The “on” LED indicate lamp on the channel with speak will twinkle orange light.
5 Test to the channel without set priority speak. If the channel 1,2,3 are priority speak channel.
Test method
A. Speak to the all priority channel at the same time: the channel 1,2,3 can be speak at the same
time without restrict; The “on ” indicate lamp on the channel with speak, it will show the green light is on.
B. Speak to the priority channel: When speak to the channel 4,5,6,7 without set priority speak,
channel 1,2,3 have priority and restrict the speak of channel 4,5,6,7 which without set prior speak.
6 Through the above tests and sets, please turn the total volume of the mixer to the appropriate
position. After finish the set and debugging, can select the lock function on the panel, then the button on the panel is locked. It can prevent wrong touch after the set up is finished.
