1、The mixer has 8 channels inputs which are Independently without mutual influence. E ven o ne
channel fault, but will not influence the other 7 channels.
2、Automatic gain adjustment by microprocessor control.
3、NOMA “Number of Open Microphone Attenuated”helps control feedBack.
4、48V phantom power individually selectable for each channel, either line or microphon e out put
available.
5、LED shows working status and volume condition.
6、Two S interface for cascade external auto up to 16 ASM-822.

①The code switch of the channel 1 to 8:touch and rotate this button can select the function of t his c han nel :
including the adjust of the input signal volume, microphone/channel select, hig h pas s fil t sel ect , gat e sel ect.
Adjust of input audio volume: encode switch coordinate with 15 section LED posit ion s how ,ca n adj ust v olume
by rotate switch.
b.Line：microphone/channel input choose. When the red light is on ,it indicate channel input, i npu t por t wil l
be attenuation with 15DB and 48V phantom power will be close automatically;When the red light i s off , the
48V phantom power will be close automatically.
c.Sig:high-pass filtering select. When the red light is on , open the high-pass filtering, ca n rem ove t he lo w
frequency noise around the surrounding environment. When the light is off, close the hig h-p ass f ilt eri ng.
d.ON：speak priority select。When the red right is on, speak is not limited。When the red light is off, it will be
automatic detection mode。It will be mute without AF input .If there is AF input,the orange LED r igh t wil l be
twinkle .

volume adjust, microphone/channel select, host and slave select.

b. Mic：microphone/channel output choose. When the red light is on ,it indicate micr oph one o utp ut; w hen t he
light is off, it indicate choose channel output, and output port will be attenuation wi th 15 dB.
c.Global： when many mixers are cascade, the mixer which global light is on is host.
d.Local： when many mixers are cascade, the mixer which local light is on is slave.
④ Noise code switch: touch and rotate this button can select function.. Inclu din g the n ois e gat e con tro l the l eve l
adjust, manual /automatic noise gate select, online indication ,panel control l ock .
a. Noise gate control level adjust: encode switch coordinate with 15 section LED posi tio n sho w
b. Manu：manual/ automatic noise gate select. The red light is on, the noise gate is manual contr ol, c an ad jus t
noise threshold value by rotate the switch. When the light is off, the noise gate is automatic c onc tro l.
c. Link：online indication. When the light is twinkle, the online is fail; when the l igh t is on , the o nli ne is s ucceed.
d. Lock： panel board lock .When the red light is on, the panel board is lock, prevent wrong touch after the se t
up is finished. When the light is off, the panel control is unlock.

① Power input socket: standard IEC socket, can accommodate 110V/230V 50/60Hz AC pow er.
② Logic control joint :can contact inter intelligent control system, and inter inte lli gen t con tro l
system to control mixer parameters.
③ RS-232 joint: contact automatic video track system VTS-1000 or other video device.
④ Online input port: online input port can contact the output port of other mixer.

⑥ AF output port: standard cannon plug balance output and fast contactor balance output.

3、ASM-822 intelligent mixer can outer intelligent control by contacting the inter cont rol
system by logical port:

Logical control mostly used on control outer input and outer output
Control input :when external control input high level to a channel ,the channel gate will be c omp uls ory
open; when external control input low level to a channel ,the channel gate will be automatic test , the g ate
will be open only AF signal through it.
Control out: when microphone is open, the gate of this channel will output high level .
When the microphone is mute, the gate of this channel will output low level

ASM-822 intelligent mixer use encoder switch ，every encoder switch can operate corresponding function.
For example of CH1,the specific operation as the bellows:
Rotate the encoder switch can adjust the volume of AF input, push the encoder switch, then yellow LED will twinkle，it
indicate enter menu select mode，then rotate the encoder switch can choose corresponding function. For example,
the “on” yellow light is twinkle ,it indicate select “on” function, then push the encoder switch again, and will start
use “on” function. If the “on” red light is on, it indicate start use prior speak mode, if the “on” light is off, it
indicate start use automatic test mode.

General Installation and Debugging
Mixer can do the general installation and debugging after it connect the exterior device and microphone.
1、cascade mixers by “S label，open the mixer, if the link light below the noise gate encode switch is on , it
indicate the cascade is succeed, then we can set the host and slave。
2、The 8 channels of the mixer are all select the microphone input mode, it is that the 8 channels all ha ve 48 v
voltage output, if the microphone use external power ,please change the channel to the microphon e inp ut
mode.
3、Please turn the 8 channels’s volume to “12 clock”position，if the 8 channels use th e mic rop hon es wi th
different sensitivity, pls turn the 8 channels’s volume to the same.
4、Test to the channel without set prior speak, if the all 8 channels without set prior speak.
Test method: only can open the channel with input signal, it is one channel among the 8 ch ann els . Spe ak to t he
8 channels one by one. The “on ” pilot lamp on the channel with speak will twinkle orange li ght .
5、Test to the channel without set prior speak. If the channel 1,2,3 are prior speak channel.
Test method: speak to the all prior channel at the same time: the channel 1,2,3 can be speak at the same time
without restrict; The “on ” pilot lamp on the channel with speak will twinkle orange ligh t. Wh en sp eak t o the
channel 4,5,6,7 without set prior speak, channel 1,2,3 can prior speak and restrict the speak o f cha nne l 4,5 ,6, 7
without set prior speak.
6、Through the above tests and sets, please turn the total volume of the mixer to the appropriate position.
7、After finish the set and debugging，can select the lock function on the panel, then the button on th e pan el is
locked. It can prevent wrong touch after the set up is finished.。
