Thank you for buying Regulus programmable room thermostat. This product has been manufactured with regard to its quality, reliability and user comfort. The thermostat adjusts switching heating on and off to the character of the space heated. Thanks to it, all the functions of a heat source are available also in the room unit.

This thermostat is intended for indoor use only. It should be mounted on an inner wall, about 150cm above the oor, located where room temperature changes can be felt thanks to freely circulating air.
Do not install above a heat source (a TV set, heater, fridge etc.) or to places where it may be exposed to direct sunshine, draught, radiation from appliances, or to wet environment.
Wiring of the thermostat
Installation:
• Pres the latch on the bottom side to release the rear board.
• Position the rear board on the wall so that cables run directly through the rectangular opening and are not stuck under the board. Check that the arrow points upwards (see Pic.). Mark the position of the 4 xing holes.
• Insert dowels into the drilled holes, run the cables through the rectangular opening and x the rear board to the wall with 4 screws.
• Wire the cables to the terminal block on the rear board. This may be done by qualied staff only.
• Make sure the mode selector is in OFF position and batteries are removed from their compartment.
• Set the thermostat onto the two top latches on the rear board and slightly press the bottom latch to lock.

Thermostat commissioning and programming:
• Open the bottom compartment door and insert batteries. Mind the right polarity.
• Press open the door on the right side.
• Slide the mode selector to the „heat“ position.
Setting the time: Select either 12- or 24-hour display mode by pressing 12/24 HOURS pushbutton (4).
• Set the hour by pressing the HOUR button (1) and minute by MIN button (2). To save the setting, either wait for
10 sec or press RUN (10).
Setting the day: Select the desired day by pressing DAY (3).
Setting a program: The thermostat has a factory-preset program (see chart 1), identical for every weekday. This preset program can be restored by pressing AUTO PROG (5). The thermostat switches the heating on and off in advance with respect to the room character in order to reach the desired temperature at the set time. This function can be switched off by a DIP switch on the PCB (see pic.).

• The preset program can be changed as follows:
• Select the desired day or a block of days (Mo-Fr or Sa-Su) by pressing PROG DAY button (7).
• Then press PROG (6), program number 1 is displayed.
• Set the desired time span by pressing HOUR (1) and MIN (2) buttons, and the desired temperature by the respective buttons with arrows.
• Then press PROG (6), program number 2 is displayed and at the same time program No. 1 is saved. If desired, continue programming time sections 2-4 in the same manner. When nished, either wait for 10s or press RUN (10), the thermostat will save the settings and return to normal operation.
Setting the temperature difference:
• The thermostat is factory set to 0.5 °C temperature difference, i.e. it switches on/off 0.5 °C below/above the set temperature.
• This value can be changed by pressing both UP and DOWN arrows for at least 3s. SPAN is displayed.
• This setting can be increased to 1.5 °C max. by pressing the UP arrow, decreased by pressing the DOWN arrow.
• Wait for 10 s or press RUN (10) to exit setting.
Program viewing:
• The programs set can be viewed. Select the desired day by pressing PROG DAY (7).
• The time sections 1-4 are displayed by pressing the PROG (6) button. The time of change and the set temperature are displayed for each program. Wait for 10 s or press RUN (10) to exit viewing.

Temporary program override:
• Change the desired temperature by pressing UP or DOWN arrow. The override temperature is highlighted by a flashing program number.
• This temporary override can be cancelled by pressing HOLD CLEAR (8) button. If not cancelled, this temperature override is valid until the next time section (program) starts.
Permanent program override:
• Press HOLD CLEAR (8), HOLD appears on the display.
• Set the desired temperature by pressing UP or DOWN arrows. This temperature will be maintained until cancelled.
• The desired temperature can be changed any time by pressing UP or DOWN arrows.
• The permanent program override can be cancelled by pressing HOLD CLEAR (8) repeatedly until the HOLD sign disappears from the display. The thermostat will return to running as programmed.
Program override for several days:
• Press HOLD CLEAR (8), HOLD appears on the display.
• Set the desired temperature by pressing UP or DOWN arrows.
• Press HOLD CLEAR (8) repeatedly until the current temperature and number of days for override are shown (1 day, see pic.).
• Set the desired number of days (between 1 and 255) by pressing DAY (3) to increase and HOUR (1) to decrease the number. The set temperature will be kept for the set number of days.
• The number of the remaining days is shown on the display; by pressing DAY (3) or HOUR (1) it can be changed.
• The desired temperature can be changed by pressing UP or DOWN arrows.
• When the set number of days elapse, the thermostat will return to its programmed schedule.
• The override can be cancelled any time by pressing HOLD CLEAR (8) repeatedly until the HOLD sign disappears from the display. The thermostat will return to running as programmed.

Error message:
Battery substitution:
• If a blinking or permanent text BATT appears on the display, substitute the batteries with fresh ones without delay.
• Open the battery compartment and take out the batteries. The thermostat will keep the set values without batteries for at least 20s.
• Insert new batteries.
Advice: Before leaving for more than 30 days, use new batteries as a prevention.
