Safety
• Never attempt to repair or modify your instrument. Dismantling your product, other than for the purpose of replacing batteries, may cause damage that will not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Servicing should only be provided by an authorized service center.
• Do not use if the meter appears damaged or isn't operating properly
• Do not apply more than the specied voltage
• Use caution with voltage above 30V AC
• Before each use, verify operation by testing a known working circuit that is within the rating of this unit
• Do not rely on this tester with shielded wire
• Operation may be affected by differences in socket design and type

Operating Instructions
1. Press the power button to turn the meter on.
2. The meter will beep and the probe tip will begin to ash indicating it
has been turned on and is functioning properly.
3. To turn the meter off, press and hold the power button until you hear
a beep and the tip stops ashing.
AC Voltage Measurement
1. Place the probe tip near an AC voltage location.
2. The tip will produce a steady glow and a continuous beep indicating
the presence of AC Voltage.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Receptacles in recessed sockets or differences in socket may result in false readings.
Auto Power Off
1. After 3 minutes of inactivity the meter will automatically shut off
2. The meter will beep and stop ashing indicating it has turned off.
Flashlight
Press the ashlight button to turn the ashlight on or off.
Battery Replacement
When the battery gets low, the meter will stop ashing, even when turned on. You will need to replace the batteries.
1. Using a athead screwdriver, slide open the battery compartment
and remove the batteries.
2. Place new batteries in the meter, and re-secure the battery
compartment cover.

Product Care
To keep your instrument in good working order we recommend the following:
• Store your product in a clean, dry place.
• Change the battery as needed.
• If your instrument isn't being used for a period of one month or longer please remove the battery.
• Clean your product and accessories with biodegradable cleaner. Do not spray the cleaner directly on the instrument. Use on external parts only.
Product Warranty
REED Instruments guarantees this instrument to be free of defects inmaterial or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment. During the warranty period, REED Instruments will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves to be defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. REED Instruments total liability is limited to repair or replacement of the product. REED Instruments shall not be liable for damages to goods, property, or persons due to improper use or through attempts to utilize the instrument under conditions which exceed the designed capabilities.
