You may press and hold for quick jump.
Power On: Press to turn on the printer. Normal : To turn to the next page. Escape : Escape without saving. Printing : Press the button to stop printing. Power Off: Press for 3 seconds to turn off.
Normal : To enter modification mode or run a
command. Modification Mode: Press to enter next digit or end modification with saving.
Feed the paper when it's inactive except printing.
PRINT PAGE (PRN)
To custom made the printing content you need, press / to highlight the field which need to be configured and then press to enter the modification.
NOTE: If you want to print the data of logger which is plugged in, the Download command must run first.
CONTRAST
Valid values for Contrast : 1 to 9 (light to heavy). During printing, you can press / to change the contrast any time.
To set the contrast, highlight the contrast field and press to enter. Press / to increase/decrease the value of contrast. Press to end the modification with saving the value, or press to end without saving.
ALARM
This field allows you to set the alarm critical value for printing. To set the alarm, highlight the Alarm field and press to enter. Press / to enable/disable the alarm. Press to save the modification or press to escape without saving.
If you select enable mode, alarm setting must be edited.
Press / to increase/decrease the highlighted value, press to highlight the next. The alarm setting will exit and save when you press in the last value.

MODE
This field allows you to set the printing mode. To set the printing mode, highlight the Mode field and press to enter modification. Press / to select the printing mode. Press to save or press to escape the modification without saving. You can choose Graph or Report (Summary) or Text mode. Report Mode: Print logger summary information and compact chart of all data. Graph Mode: Print logger detailed chart page by page. Data range is selected in "Content" option before printing. Text Mode: Print logger detailed data one by one. Data range is selected in "Content" option before printing. If text is printed with underline means the value is over the printing alarm (see page 7)

Logger Link
For loggers without two metal contacts to connect with printer. Including: 88193/88195/88393/88394 /88395/88396/88397/88398/88378.
NOTE: 88375 & 9801printer are not compatible.
Dual stereo phone jack cable is offered in package. The logger side phone jack size is dia. 2.5 mm. The printer side phone jack size is dia. 3.5 mm.
NOTE: All loggers can be programmed through 9801 printer since it has two different contact ports for all loggers. However, be sure to avoid using two contact ports at the same time. Example: DO NOT use logger link port while operating 8829 logger. Example: DO NOT use contact port while operating 88395 logger.

While logger is plugging, the LCD displays the logger's ID, total record, rate and unit.
After downloading, the LCD will turn to print page automatically. Press to print or escape by pressing . If any error is happened, the LCD will display the error information.

This field allows you to set the sleep mode of datalogger. To enable the sleep mode, select Enable. Otherwise select Disable .

ID
This field allows you to set ID of datalogger. To set the identification, highlight the ID field and press to enter modified mode. Press / to set the first character of identification then press to save and enter the next. Max. 8 digits for editing, valid characters for the identification are 0 to 9, A to Z ,

Select right after the last character, press to save.
LOGGER PAGE (LOG)

This field allows you to set the clock of the logger. YY, MM, DD, hh, mm, ss stands for year, month, date, hour, minute, second. Valid values for these are: YY (2000 to 2099), MM (1 to 12), DD (1 to 31), hh (0 to 24), mm (0 to 59), ss (0 to 59).

Next LOG Setting
This allows you to set more datalogger related parameters, such as: sample points, rate, unit, start mode and alarm.
- Point
Point stands for the maximum record. Valid values : 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000,12000, 16000 (You won't see all of the points due to the printer will recognize the available max. points of each datalogger)
-Unit
Unit stands for the unit of temperature. Valid unit is °C or °F
-Mode
Mode stands for the start mode of loggers. Valid modes are: Immediate, Magnetic, Schedule, On-line, Key Start, Repeat.
-Rate
Rate stands for the sampling interval. Valid value are 1 to 7200 seconds.
1. Immediate stands for starting right away.
2. Magnetic means you need to use magnet to slide over the rear side of logger to start.
3. Schedule means logger will start at preset date & time. The schedule time must be edited.
4. On-line means logger should connect to PC while logging, so the logging point capacity is unlimited and data are sent to PC real time.
5. Key Start means you could press the button to start or stop the logger. In "non-logging" status, press key for 1sec. to turn on/off the logger as temp. monitor. Press key for 2 seconds to start/ stop the logging. Once stopping logging, you could not press key to activate logging, it's needed to use printer/PC to set the logger again.
6. Repeat means logger will auto-start again after downloading the data to printer or PC.

This field allows you to select data range in Graph and Text printing mode. To select: Highlight the page or point field and press to enter.
