SAFETY WARNING

• The installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with the current edition
of the IEE Wiring Regulations.

• Prior to installation carry out the necessary risk assessment considering the people who could be at
risk, the level of risk and the precautions required to control the risk.

• Ensure that the circuit supply is isolated either by the circuit supply fuse being removed or the
applicable circuit breaker being turned o before installation or any maintenance.

• Check the total load on the circuit including the luminaire does not exceed the rating of the circuit
cable, fuse or circuit breaker.

• If the fitting incorporates control gear, ensure careful sizing to avoid instances of nuisance tripping of
the protective device used in the installation.

• Follow the provided installation instructions, using the fixings supplied or recommended.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Ensure that all electrical connections are tight with no loose
strands, including factory made connections.

2. Ensure there is adequate free air circulation of at least 100mm
around the fitting. It is the installer’s responsibility to consider
any fire risk and take appropriate precautions.

3. The nearest illuminated surface must be at least 0.5m from
the front of the fitting.

4. Check for concealed cables before drilling any fixing holes.

5. Remove the diuser from the base by twisting the trim.

6. Loosen the three retaining screws on the gear tray and twist
o the gear tray.

7. Select a suitable cable entry point provided, or by drilling into
the base (notice the size of the cable gland provided).

8. Position and fix the base to a solid surface using the screws
supplied.

9. Enter the supply cable into the fitting through the previously
selected hole, ensuring that the hole is smooth or a grommet
is fitted.

10. Terminate the cable into the terminal block mounted on the
underside of the gear tray, ensuring correct polarity is

observed. Ensure the fitting is earthed and any bare
conductors are sleeved.

11. Secure the gear tray and retighten the retaining screws.

12. There are two types of cable glands both suitable for most
occasions. The heavy duty cable gland (grey in colour) is for
extremely humid areas, three spaces should be fitted
between the gear tray and the base to lift up the gear tray.

Connection Illumination

Reach Setting (Sensitivity)

Reach is the term used to describe the radius of the circular
detection zone produced on the ground. After mounting the
sensor light at a height of 2.5m, turn the reach control

completely in an anti-clockwise direction to select minimum
reach (approximately 1m radius), then turn the reach control

completely in a clockwise direction to select the maximum
reach (approximately 10m radius). The LED indicator will flash

when the reach control is rotated. It flashes 1 to 10 times,
representing 1m to 10m for the radius of the detection zone.

NOTE: The above detection distance is measured using a person
who is between 1.6m-1.7m tall, with an average build and moving
at a speed of 1.0-1.5m/sec. If any of these variables change, the
detection distance will also resultantly change.

Time Setting

The light can be set to stay on for any period of time between
approximately 10 seconds (dial turned fully anti-clockwise) and
a maximum of 30 minutes (dial turned fully clockwise). Any
movement detected during the ‘on’ time will reset the timer. The
LED indicator will flash when adjusting the time setting dial.

NOTE: After the light switches o, it takes approximately one
second before it is able to start detecting movement again. The
light will only switch on in response to movement once this
period has elapsed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Light-control Setting

The chosen light response threshold can be infinitely from
approximately 2-2000lux. Turn it fully anti-clockwise to select
dusk-to-dawn operation at about 2 lux. Turn it fully clockwise to
select daylight operation at about 2000lux. The knob must be
turned fully clockwise when adjusting the detection zone and
performing the walk test in daylight.

• Any modifications made by anyone other than the
manufacturer could render the unit unsafe and invalid the
guarantee.

• Contact us if the unit is found faulty.

• If the product is faulty, consult the seller before replacing the
module.

• When this fitting comes to the end of it’s life or you choose
to replace it, please do not dispose of it with your normal
household waste. Please recycle where the facilities exist,
check with your local authority or retailer for suitable

options.

This product is guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. The guarantee is invalid in
the case of improper use, tampering, removal of the Q.C. date label, installation in an improper working
environment or installation not according to the current edition of the I.E.E. Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
The guarantee is also invalidated if the luminaire has been Mega tested. Should this product fail during the
guarantee period it will be replaced free of charge, subject to correct installation and return of the faulty unit.
We do not accept responsibility for any installation costs associated with the replacement of this product. Your
statutory rights are not aected. We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
