EachdevicehasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevicepursuantto

WhenyouuseawirelessLANmoduleinthe802.11a/ntransmissionmode,notethathighpowerradarsare
allocatedasprimaryusersofthe5250to5350MHzand5650to5850MHzbands.Theseradarstationscan
causeinterferencewithand/ordamagethisdevice.

III.SimultaneoususeofRFtransmitters

YourcomputerisapprovedforsimultaneoususeofoneoftheapprovedwirelessLANmodulesandthe
approvedBluetoothdevice.Foralistofthosetransmitters,referto“I.Approvedwirelessdevices”onpage1.

MakesureofthefollowingconditionswhenyouuseanyotherexternalRFoptiondevice:

1.WhenyouuseanyotherRFoptiondevice,youarerequestedtoconfirmthatthedeviceconformstothe
RFSafetyrequirementandisapprovedtouseforyourcomputer.

2.YoumustfollowtheRFSafetyinstructionsoftheRFoptiondevicethatareincludedintheusermanual

WhenyouuseawirelessLANmoduleinthe802.11a/ntransmissionmode,notthefollowing:

•Thedevicesfortheband5150–5350MHzareonlyforindoorusagetoreducepotentialforharmful
interferencetoco-channelMobileSatellitesystems.

•Highpowerradarsareallocatedasprimaryusers(meaningtheyhavepriority)of5250–5350MHzand
5650–5850MHzandtheseradarscouldcauseinterferenceand/ordamagetoLE-LAN(Licence-Exempt
LocalAreaNetwork)devices.

•Themaximumantennagainpermittedfordevicesinthe5250-5350MHz,5470-5725MHz,and5725-5825
MHzbandscomplieswiththee.i.r.p.limit.

IV.ExposureofhumanstoRFfields(RSS-102)

ThecomputersemploylowgainintegralantennasthatdonotemitRFfieldinexcessofHealthCanada

TheradiatedenergyfromtheantennasconnectedtothewirelessmodulesconformstotheCanadaPortable

medicalimplantsorbody-wornelectronicmedicaldevices,suchaspacemakers.

•Inanyotherenvironmentwheretheriskofinterferencetootherdevicesorservicesisperceivedor
identifiedasharmful.

Ifyouareuncertainofthepolicythatappliesontheuseofwirelessdevicesinaspecificarea(suchasan
airportorhospital),youareencouragedtouseawirelessdevicepriortoturningonthecomputer.
