• Read the user’s manual carefully prior to the operation and
installation of the single-room reversible heat recovery unit,
hereinafter WHR 50 unit.

• Installation and operation of the WHR 50 unit shall be performed
in accordance with the present user’s manual as well as the
provisions of all the applicable local and national construction,
electrical and technical codes and standards.

• The warnings contained in the present user’s manual must be
considered most seriously since they contain vital personal safety
information.

• Failure to follow the safety regulations may result in an injury or
damage to the unit.

• Read the manual carefully and keep it as long as you use the unit.

• After installing the unit leave the manual to the user.

The manufacturer hereby warrants normal operation of the WHR
50 unit, provided the user’s observance of the transportation,
storage, installation and operation regulations.
Should any malfunctions occur during the unit operation through
the manufacturer’s fault during the warranty period the user is
entitled to eliminate faults by means of warranty repair performed
by the manufacturer.
The warranty repair includes the activities to eliminate any
faults in the unit operation to ensure its intended use by the user
within the warranty period. The faults are eliminated by means
of replacement or repair of the complete unit or the faulty part
thereof.

Store the unit in the manufacturer’s original packing box in a dry
ventilated premise at the temperatures from +5°C (5 °F) up to +
40°C (104°F).
Storage environment must not contain aggressive vapours and
chemical mixtures provoking corrosion, insulation and sealing
deformation.
Use hoist machinery for handling and storage operations to
prevent the unit damage from falling or excessive oscillation.
Full the handling requirements applicable for the applicable
freight type.
Transportation with any vehicle type is allowed provided that the
unit is protected against mechanical and weather damage.
Avoid any mechanical shocks and strokes during handling
operations.

• L'installazione e il funzionamento del recuperatore devono
avvenire in conformità con il presente manuale d'uso, nonché con
le disposizioni di tutte le norme e gli standard locali e nazionali
vigenti in materia edile, elettrica e tecnica.

• Prendere in massima considerazione gli avvisi contenuti
nel presente manuale d'uso, dal momento che contengono
informazioni sulla sicurezza personale di importanza vitale.

• Il mancato rispetto delle norme di sicurezza può comportare
lesioni o danni all’unità.

• Leggere attentamente il manuale e conservarlo ntanto che si
utilizza il recuperatore.

Legenda dei simboli utilizzati nel manuale:

Conservare il recuperatore nell'imballaggio originale del
produttore in un ambiente asciutto e ventilato a temperature da
+5 °C (5 °F) a +40 °C (104 °F).
L'ambiente di conservazione non deve contenere vapori aggressivi
e miscele chimiche che provocano corrosione, isolamento e
deformazione delle tenute.
Per le operazioni di movimentazione e conservazione, utilizzare
macchinari per il sollevamento così da evitare danni all’unità WHR
50 in seguito a cadute o oscillazioni eccessive. Rispettare i requisiti
di movimentazione vigenti per lo specico tipo di trasporto.
È consentito il trasporto con qualsiasi tipo di veicolo a condizione
che il recuperatore sia protetto da qualsiasi danno meccanico e
meteorologico.
Evitare qualsiasi urto e scossa meccanici durante la movimentazione.

Il produttore garantisce il normale funzionamento dell’unità
WHR 50 a condizione che l'utente rispetti le norme di trasporto,
conservazione, installazione e funzionamento.
Qualora vi siano malfunzionamenti durante l’attività dell’unità
WHR 50 e dovuti a guasti causati dal produttore durante il
periodo di garanzia, l'utente ha diritto all'eliminazione del
guasto mediante riparazione in garanzia a cura del produttore.
La riparazione in garanzia comprende il lavoro attinente
l'eliminazione dei guasti nel funzionamento del WHR 50 anché
l'utente possa utilizzarlo per l'uso previsto durante il periodo di
garanzia. I guasti vengono eliminati mediante la sostituzione
o la riparazione dell'unità completa o della sua parte difettosa.

The warranty repair does not include:

• Routine maintenance;

• WHR 50 installation / dismantling;

• WHR 50 setup.
To benet from warranty repair the user must provide the unit, the
user’s manual with stamped sale date and the payment document
certifying the purchase. The unit model must comply with the one
stated in the user’s manual. Contact RDZ for warranty service.

The manufacturer’s warranty does not apply to the following
cases:

• User’s failure to provide the unit with the entire delivery package
as stated in the user’s manual or with missing component parts
previously dismounted by the user;

• Mismatch of the unit model and make with the respective details
stated on the WHR 50 packing and in the user’s manual;

• User’s failure to ensure timely technical maintenance of the unit;

• External damage to the casing (excluding external modications
of the WHR 50 as required for its installation) and the internal
components of the unit;

• Alteration of the WHR 50 design or engineering changes of the
unit;

• Replacement and use of the WHR 50 unit assemblies, parts and
components not approved by the manufacturer;

• WHR 50 unit misuse;

• User’s violation of the unit installation regulations;

• User’s violation of the WHR 50 unit management regulations;

• WHR 50 unit connection to the power pains with a voltage
dierent from the one stated in the user’s manual;

• Unit breakdown due to voltage surges in the power mains;

• User’s discretionary repair of the WHR 50 unit;

• WHR 50 unit repair performed by any people without the
manufacturer’s authorization;

• Expiry of the unit warranty period;

• User’s violation of the established regulations specic to the WHR
50 unit transportation;

• User’s violation of the WHR 50 unit storage regulations;

• Wrongful acts against the WHR 50 unit committed by third
people;

• WHR 50 unit breakdown due to circumstances of insuperable
force (fire, flood, earthquake, war, hostilities of any kind, or
blockade);

• Missing seals if provided by the user’s manual;

• Failure to provide the user’s manual with the sale date stamp;

• Missing payment document certifying the WHR 50 unit purchase.

FOLLOWING THE REGULATIONS STIPULATED
HEREIN WILL ENSURE A LONG AND TROUBLE-FREE
OPERATION OF THE WHR 50 UNIT.

USERS’ CLAIMS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO REVIEW ONLY
UPON PRESENTATION OF THE WHR 50 UNIT, THE
PAYMENT DOCUMENT AND THE USER’S MANUAL
WITH THE SALE DATE STAMP.

La riparazione in garanzia non comprende:

• Manutenzione ordinaria;

• Installazione o rimozione del WHR 50;

• Impostazione del WHR 50.
Per beneficiare della riparazione in garanzia l'utente deve
presentare l'unità, il manuale d'uso con il timbro della data di
vendita e il documento di pagamento che ne certichi l'acquisto.
Il modello del WHR 50 deve corrispondere a quello indicato nel
manuale d'uso. Per l'assistenza in garanzia contattare RDZ.

La garanzia del produttore non si applica ai seguenti casi:

• Qualora l'utente non fornisca il WHR 50 con l'intero pacchetto
così come indicato nel manuale d'uso o qualora manchino
componenti precedentemente smontati dall'utente;

• Se il modello e la marca del WHR 50 non corrispondono con
i rispettivi dettagli indicati nell'imballaggio del WHR 50 e nel
manuale d'uso;

• Se l'utente non provvede a effettuare una tempestiva
manutenzione tecnica del WHR 50;

• Danni esterni all'involucro (fatte salve le modiche esterne del
WHR 50 necessarie per l'installazione) e i componenti interni
del WHR 50.

• Alterazioni alla struttura del WHR 50 o modiche progettuali al
WHR 50;

• Sostituzione e utilizzo di gruppi, parti e componenti del WHR 50
non approvati dal produttore;

• Errato utilizzo del WHR 50;

• Violazione da parte dell'utente delle norme di installazione
dell'unità;

• Violazione da parte dell'utente delle norme di gestione del WHR
50;

• Collegamento del WHR 50 alla rete elettrica con una tensione
diversa da quella indicata nel manuale d'uso;

• Rottura dell'unità dovuta a sovratensioni nella rete elettrica;

• Riparazione discrezionale del WHR 50 da parte dell'utente;

• Riparazione del WHR 50 eseguita da persone senza autorizzazione
del produttore;

• Scadenza del periodo di garanzia dell'unità;

• Violazione da parte dell'utente delle norme vigenti relative al
trasporto del WHR 50;

• Violazione da parte dell'utente delle norme di conservazione
del WHR 50;

• Azioni errate nei confronti del WHR 50 commesse da terzi;

• Rottura del WHR 50 dovuta a circostanze di forza maggiore
(incendio, inondazione, terremoto, guerra, ostilità di qualsiasi
tipo o assedio);

• Mancanza delle tenute, ove previste dal manuale d'uso;

• Mancata consegna del manuale con il timbro della data di
vendita;

• Mancanza del documento di pagamento che certichi l'acquisto
del WHR 50.

IL RISPETTO DELLE NORME QUI PREVISTE
GARANTISCE UN FUNZIONAMENTO DURATURO E
SENZA INTOPPI DEL VENTILATORE.

I RECLAMI DEGLI UTENTI SARANNO ESAMINATI
PREVIA PRESENTAZIONE DEL VENTILATORE, DEL
DOCUMENTO DI PAGAMENTO E DEL MANUALE D'USO

In base a quanto previsto dalle seguenti direttive
europee 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE e 2003/108/
CE, relative alla riduzione dell’uso di sostanze
pericolose nelle apparecchiature elettriche ed
elettroniche, nonché allo smaltimento dei riuti.

Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull’apparecchiatura
indica che il prodotto alla ne della propria vita utile deve essere
raccolto separatamente dagli altri riuti.
La struttura ed i vari componenti, se inutilizzabili, vanno
demoliti e suddivisi a seconda del loro genere merceologico: ciò
vale in particolare per il rame e l’alluminio presenti in discreta
quantità nella macchina.

Tutto ciò per agevolare i centri di raccolta, smaltimento e
riciclaggio e per ridurre al minimo l’impatto ambientale che
tale operazione richiede.
L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo
dell’apparecchiatura dismessa al riciclaggio, al trattamento e allo
smaltimento ambientale compatibile contribuisce ad evitare
possibili eetti negativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce
il riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta l’apparecchiatura.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte dell’utente
comporta l’applicazione delle sanzioni previste dalla vigente
normativa in materia.

In accordance with the provisions of the following
European directives, 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC
2003/108/EC, regarding reducing the use of
hazardous substances in electrical and electronic
equipment, in addition to waste disposal.

The crossed-out rubbish bin symbol shown on the equipment
indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be
collected separately from other waste.
The structure and the various components, if they can no longer
be used, must be demolished and divided up according to the
type of product: this is particularly important for the copper and
aluminium components, which are included in the machine in
moderate quantities.

All this helps collection, disposal and recycling centres reduce the
environmental impact this operation requires.
Appropriate separate waste collection for subsequent sending of
the disused equipment for recycling, treatment and compatible
environmental disposal contributes to preventing possible
negative eects on the environment and favours recycling of the
materials of which the equipment is composed.
The abusive disposal of the product by the user leads to the
application of the penalties envisaged by current regulations
regarding the matter.

ISPEZIONE, TRASPORTO E DISIMBALLO

All’atto del ricevimento vericare immediatamente l’integrità
dell’imballo: la macchina ha lasciato la fabbrica in perfetto stato,
eventuali danni dovranno essere immediatamente contestati
al trasportatore ed annotati sul Foglio di Consegna prima di
contrormarlo.
Il Cliente, entro 8 giorni, deve avvisare il Costruttore sull’entità
e la tipologia dei danni rilevati compilando un rapporto scritto:
riportare sempre anche il numero di matricola rilevabile dalla
targhetta posta a bordo macchina.

TESTING, TRANSPORT AND UNPACAKGING

Upon receipt, check immediately that the packaging is intact:
the machine has left the factory in perfect working order and any
damage must be notied to the carrier immediately and noted on
the Delivery Sheet before it is countersigned.
Within 8 days, the customer must notify the manufacturer of the
extent and type of the damage noted, making a written report:
always take note of the serial number which can be found on the
plate axed to the machine.

The WHR 50 unit consists of the telescopic air duct with

adjustable length regulated by position of the inner

air duct inside the outer air duct, the ventilation unit

and the outdoor hood.

Two lters and the ceramic exchanger are located inside

the inner duct.

The lters are designed to purify supply air and prevent objects

from entering to the exchanger and the fan.
The ceramic exchanger uses extract air heat energy to warm up supply
air ow.
The exchanger is equipped with a pull wire rope inside to make its
withdrawal from the WHR 50 unit easier.
The exchanger is insulated. The ventilation unit must be installed into
the wall. The ventilation unit is equipped with automatic dampers to
shut the air duct o during the WHR 50 unit standby and prevent air
from owing back.
The outdoor hood must be installed outdoor. It is used for to exhaust
air and to protect the WHR 50 unit against water and objects.

Il WHR 50 è composto dal condotto dell'aria telescopico a lunghezza
regolabile, mediante il posizionamento del condotto dell'aria interno
dentro al condotto dell'aria esterno, dall'unità di ventilazione e dalla
cappa di ventilazione.
Nel tubo interno sono presenti due ltri e lo scambiatore ceramico.
I ltri sono progettati per puricare l'aria di mandata ed evitare
l'ingresso di corpi estranei nello scambiatore e nella ventola.
Lo scambiatore ceramico utilizza l'energia termica dell'aria estratta
per riscaldare il usso d'aria di mandata.
All'interno dello scambiatore è presente un cordino per facilitarne
l'estrazione dal WHR 50.
Lo scambiatore è isolato termicamente.
L'unità di ventilazione deve essere installata nella parte interna del
muro. L'unità di ventilazione è dotata di serrande automatiche che
chiudono il condotto dell'aria durante i momenti di inattività del WHR
50 per prevenire il ritorno dell'aria.
La cappa di ventilazione deve essere installata nella parte esterna del
muro. Viene utilizzata per l’espulsione dell’aria e per evitare l'ingresso
di acqua e di altri oggetti nel WHR 50.

2 INSTALLATION  INSTALLAZIONE

WHR 50 UNIT MOUNTING SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The WHR 50 unit must be disconnected from the power
supply prior to any installation or repair operation.

È obbligatorio scollegare il WHR 50 dall’alimentazione
prima di qualsiasi operazione di installazione o
manutenzione.

Do not position any heating devices or other equipment
close to the WHR 50 unit power wire.

Non posizionare alcun dispositivo di riscaldamento
o altri dispositivi nelle immediate vicinanze del cavo
di alimentazione del WHR 50.

While installing the WHR 50 unit follow the safety
regulations specic to the use of electric tools.

Durante l’installazione del WHR 50, seguire le norme
di sicurezza speciche per l’utilizzo degli utensili
elettrici.

Do not change the length of the power wire.
Do not bend the power wire. Avoid damaging the
power wire.

Non modicare la lunghezza del cavo di alimentazione
a propria discrezione.
Non piegare o danneggiare il cavo di alimentazione.

The WHR 50 unit must operate in the temperature range
stated in the user’s manual and it must not be used in
aggressive or explosive environment.

d’uso o in ambienti aggressivi o esplosivi.

Do not use damaged equipment or conductors to
connect the WHR 50 unit to power mains.

Use the WHR 50 unit only according to the
manufacturer’s instructions for use.

2.1 POSITIONING AND FIXING TO THE WALL / POSIZIONAMENTO E FISSAGGIO A PARETE

1. To mount the WHR 50 unit prepare a hole in the wall. The size
and prole are shown in the picture below.

2. After preparing the hole in the wall cut out a 25-mm space to
ensure the right installation of the wiring. The recommended space
is shown in the picture below.

1. Per montare il WHR 50, realizzare un foro passante nel muro.

3. Install the telescopic air duct inside the wall. The telescopic air
duct end must protrude to the distance A stated below:

4. Connect the mounting plate following the wiring diagram.
Prepare four fastening holes and x the mounting plate on the wall
with fours 4x40 screws and 6x40 dowels included in the package.
Align the telescopic air duct with respect to the mounting plate
and ll the gaps between the wall and the telescopic air duct
with polyurethane foam. The air duct must not protrude from the
mounting plate surface.

cablaggio. Preparare i quattro fori di fissaggio e fissare la

6. Install the ventilation unit on the mounting plate. The ventilation
unit is xed with magnets.

2. Insert the dowels 6x40.

3. Disassemble the outer outdoor hood to enable access to the
fastening holes.

2.2 OUTDOOR HOOD MOUNTING / INSTALLAZIONE CAPPA ESTERNA

1. Mark the fastening holes for the outer outdoor hood and drill
holes for the dowel 6x40. For marking convenience use the outdoor
hood back part.

3. Smontare la cappa esterna per consentire l'accesso ai fori
di ssaggio.

1. Segnare i fori di ssaggio della cappa esterna e realizzare i
fori per il tassello 6x40. Per una maggiore praticità durante la
marcatura utilizzare il retro della cappa di ventilazione.

4. Fix the back part of the outdoor hood on the wall with the 4x40
screws.

5. Mount the cover of the outdoor hood.

4. Fissare al muro il retro della cappa utilizzando le viti 4x40 .

2.3 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS / COLLEGAMENTI ELETTRICI

Disconnect the ventilator from power mains prior to
any electric installation operations.
The ventilator maintenance and installation shall
only be performed by a professional electrician
qualified for unassisted operations on electrical
installations up to 1000 V after careful study of the
this user’s manual.
The rated electrical parameters of the unit are stated
on the rating label. Any tampering with the internal
connections is prohibited and will void the warranty.

The unit has been designed for connection to single-phase ac
1~100-230 V / 50-60 Hz power mains using a pre-wired cable and
a plug.
Connect the WHR 50 to power mains through the automatic circuit
breaker with magnetic trip integrated into the xed wiring system.

SINGLE HEAT RECOVERY UNIT

L’unità prevede il collegamento alla rete domestica monofase
1~100-230 V ac / 50-60 Hz con apposito cavo di alimentazione.
Prevedere un interruttore magnetotermico sulla linea di
alimentazione elettrica .

Scollegare il WHR 50 dalla rete elettrica prima di
effettuare qualsiasi operazione di installazione
elettrica.
La manutenzione e l'installazione del WHR 50
devono essere realizzate solamente da un elettricista
qualicato per lo svolgimento di operazioni senza
assistenza su installazioni elettriche no a 1000 V
previo attento studio del presente manuale d'uso.
I parametri elettrici nominali dell'unità sono
indicati nella etichetta. Qualsiasi manomissione dei
collegamenti interni è vietata e annullerà la garanzia.

WHR 50 IN SERIES ≤ 10 UNITS

When the WHR 50 units are connected in series, all the units are
controlled by the rst appliance and by a common remote control.
Connect the Output terminals of the rst WHR 50 unit motothe
Input terminals of the second unit. Use the same procedure for the
following units up to 10 items.
For easy electric installations use a ve-wire cable (not supplied in
the package) with cross section equal to or larger than 0.5 mm².
The cable must be sized for operation in an alternating current
power supply with the country-specic mains voltage.
Disconnect the power while connecting the WHR 50 units in series.

Quando più unità sono collegate in serie, la gestione avviene
tramite il primo WHR 50 e un eventuale controllo remoto
comune (orologio). Collegare i morsetti di uscita della prima
unità con i morsetti di ingresso dell’unità successiva. Applicare
la stessa procedura per il collegamento dei successivi WHR 50
no a un massimo di 10 unità.
Per una facile installazione prevedere un cavo da 5 li con
sezione minima di 0.5 mm² (non compreso nella fornitura).
Il cavo deve essere dimensionato per operare con corrente
alternata secondo le speciche del Paese di impiego.
Mantenere scollegato il cavo di alimentazione durante
l’installazione in serie delle unità.

In case you are connectin<g more than
10 WHR 50 units, the appliance No.
11 must be energized not though the
previous units but from the power mains
(L and N terminals). The signals G and
D from the 10th unit are transferred
through a cable 2x0.5 mm². The WHR 50
units No. 12 to 20 are connected to the
WHR 50 unit no. 11 in the same way as
the WHR 50 units no. 1 to 10.
All the units connected in series are
controlled by the WHR 50 no. 1.

ALL THE UNITS CONNECTED
IN SERIES MUST BE
GROUNDED.

The rst WHR 50 unit controls all the connected WHR 50 units.
The jumper between the pins 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 of CN7 socket
connector determines the flow direction in Free Cooling or
Ventilation mode.
Free Cooling:

• If the jumper connects the contacts 1 and 2, the unit extracts from
the rooms (factory setting).

• If the jumper connects the contacts 2 and 3, the unit supplies the
air into the rooms.

Ventilation:

• When the jumper of the rst WHR 50 is connected to pins 2 and 3
and the jumper of the second WHR 50 is connected to pins 1 and
2, the fans operate in opposite direction.

The WHR 50 unit is designed to ensure mechanical ventilation in
residential and public applications. The WHR 50 unit is equipped
with a ceramic exchanger that enables fresh air supply and heat
recovey from the extracted air.
The WHR 50 unit is designed for wall installation.
The telescopic WHR 50 unit design enables its installation in the
walls with various thickness, 250÷470 mm.
The WHR 50 unit keeps connected to the power mains and it
operates constantly.
Transported air must not contain any ammable or explosive
mixtures, evaporation of chemicals, coarse dust, soot and oil
particles, sticky substances, brous materials, pathogens or any
other harmful substances.

The unit is not intended to be used by children,
physically or mentally disabled people, people
with sensory disorder, people with unsuitable
qualication.
Installation and connection operations must be
performed only by qualied sta after the relevant
safety training.
The position of the unit must not be accessed by
unattended children.

In case of unusual sounds, smoke disconnect the WHR
50 unit from power supply and contact the service
centre.

scambiatore ceramico che consente l'alimentazione di aria fresca
attraverso il recupero del calore dell'aria estratta.
Il WHR 50 è predisposto per installazione a parete.
La struttura del WHR 50 consente l'installazione in pareti di vari
spessori, 250÷470 mm.
Il WHR 50 è progettato per essere collegato permanentemente
alla rete elettrica e per un funzionamento continuo.
L'aria trasportata non deve contenere miscele inammabili o
esplosive, evaporazione di sostanze chimiche, polveri grosse,
fuliggine e particelle d'olio, sostanze adesive, materiali brosi,
patogeni o altre sostanze nocive.

Il WHR 50 non è destinato all'utilizzo da parte di
bambini, di persone aette da disabilità siche o
mentali, persone con disordini sensoriali, persone
senza un'adeguata qualicazione.
Le operazioni di installazione e collegamento devono
essere eettuate solamente da personale qualicato
previo adeguata formazione sulla sicurezza.
L’ubicazione del WHR 50 non deve consentire
accesso ai bambini non accompagnati.

AUTOMATIC DAMPERS OPERATION

OPERATING MODES

The WHR 50 unit has three ventilation modes:

• Natural air supply - the automatic dampers are opened, the
fan does not run

• Supply only - the WHR 50 unit supplies fresh air to the premise
no matter of CN7 jumper position.

• Free cooling - the WHR 50 unit operates in permanent supply or
extract mode at set speed depending on CN7 jumper position.

• Ventilation - the WHR 50 unit operates in reversible mode with
heat and humidity recovery.

In Ventilation mode the WHR 50 unit operates in two cycles, 70
seconds each.
Cycle I. Stale air is extracted from the room, and it warms and
moisturises the exchanger, transferring up to 90% thermal energy.
In 70 seconds as the ceramic exchanger warms up, the WHR 50 unit
is switched to supply mode.
Cycle II. Fresh intake air from outside ows through the ceramic
exchanger and absorbs accumulated moisture and heats up to the
room temperature. In 70 seconds as the ceramic exchanger cools
down, the WHR 50 unit changes the cycle back.

FUNZIONAMENTO AUTOMATICO DELLE SERRANDE

FUNZIONALITÀ

Il WHR 50 ha tre modalità di ventilazione:

• Aerazione naturale - le serrande automatiche si aprono, il
ventilatore non è in funzione

• Solo immissione - il WHR 50 fornisce aria fresca al locale,
indipendentemente dalla posizione dal jumper CN7

• Free-cooling - il WHR 50 opera in alimentazione permanente
o in modalità estrazione a velocità impostata a seconda della
posizione del jumper CN7.

• Rinnovo - il WHR 50 opera in modalità reversibile con
recupero di calore e di umidità.

In modalità Rinnovo il WHR 50 opera in due cicli, ciascuno di
70 secondi.
Ciclo I. L'aria calda viziata viene estratta dal locale, la quale
riscalda e umidica lo scambiatore, trasferendo no al 90%
dell'energia termica. Dopo 70 secondi, quando lo scambiatore
ceramico si riscalda, il WHR 50 inverte il ciclo di funzionamento.
Ciclo II. L'aria fresca in entrata dall'esterno passa attraverso
lo scambiatore ceramico e assorbe l'umidità accumulata
e si riscalda recuperando l’energia immagazzinata nello
scambiatore. Dopo 70 secondi, quando lo scambiatore si
raredda, il WHR 50 reinverte il ciclo.

TROUBLESHOOTING

MAINTENANCE MANUTENZIONE

Disconnect the ventilator from power supply prior to
any maintenance operations.

Maintenance on the WHR 50 unit means regular cleaning of the
surfaces from dust and cleaning or replacement of the lters.

FAN MAINTENANCE ONCE PER YEAR

Take o the ventilation unit and clean the fan blades.
To remove dust use a soft brush, cloth or a vacuum cleaner. Do not
use water, abrasive detergents, solvents, sharp objects. The blades
must be cleaned once per year.

EXCHANGER AND FILTER MAINTENANCE
4 TIMES PER YEAR.

Remove the air ow straightener.
Remove the front lter.
Remove the exchanger from the air duct.
Be careful while pulling the exchanger to avoid its damage.
Remove the rear lter.

Scollegare il WHR 50 dall'alimentazione elettrica
prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di
manutenzione.

Per la manutenzione del WHR 50 si intende la pulizia regolare
delle superci dalla polvere e la pulizia o la sostituzione dei ltri.

MANUTENZIONE DELLA PARTE VENTILANTE ANNUALE

Rimozione dell'unità di ventilazione e pulizia delle pale.
Per la rimozione della polvere usare una spazzola morbida, un
panno o l'aspirapolvere. Non utilizzare acqua, detergenti abrasivi,
solventi, oggetti alati. Le pale della girante devono essere pulite
con cadenza annuale.

MANUTENZIONE DELLO SCAMBIATORE E DEL FILTRO
4 VOLTE L'ANNO.

Rimuovere il raddrizzatore del usso d'aria.
Rimuovere il ltro anteriore.
Rimuovere lo scambiatore dal condotto dell'aria.
Quando si rimuove lo scambiatore fare attenzione a non
danneggiarlo.
Rimuovere il ltro posteriore.

Clean the lter as often as it is necessary, in any case at least 3-4
times a year.
Once a 90-day period of operation expires, the WHR 50 unit
generates a sound signal as a reminder of the need to replace or
clean the lter. The signal is repeated every 5 minutes until the
unit is reset.
If the lters are cleaned with water, let them get dry before installing
them back into the unit.
Vacuum cleaning is allowed.
The lter rated service life is 3 years.
Contact RDZ for spare lters.

Even regular technical maintenance may not completely prevent
dirt accumulation on the exchanger.
Clean the exchanger regularly to ensure high heat recovery
eciency.
Clean the exchanger with a vacuum cleaner at least once in a year.

OUTDOOR HOOD MAINTENANCE ONCE PER YEAR.

The outdoor hood grill may get clogged with leaves and other
objects which impairs the unit performance.
Check the outdoor hood twice per year and clean it as often as
required.
For correct maintenance disassemble the hood, then clean it and
the air duct.

Pulire il ltro ogni volta risulti necessario, in ogni caso non meno
di 3-4 volte l'anno.
Dopo ogni 90 giorni di funzionamento, il WHR 50 genera un
segnale acustico per ricordare che è necessario sostituire o
pulire il ltro. Il segnale viene ripetuto ogni 5 minuti no a
quando non viene eettuato il reset tramite telecomando.
Se i ltri vengono risciacquati con acqua, lasciarli asciugare
prima di reintrodurli nel condotto dell'aria.
È anche possibile pulire i ltri utilizzando un aspirapolvere.
La vita utile nominale del ltro è di 3 anni.
Per avere dei ltri sostitutivi contattare RDZ.

Anche una regolare manutenzione può non essere suciente
per evitare l'accumulo di sporco sullo scambiatore.
Sottoporre lo scambiatore a regolare pulizia al ne di assicurare
un'elevata ecienza del recupero di calore.
Pulire lo scambiatore con un aspirapolvere almeno una volta
l'anno.

MANUTENZIONE DELLA CAPPA ESTERNA ANNUALE

La griglia della cappa esterna potrebbe otturarsi con foglie o
altri oggetti che limitano le prestazioni dell'unità.
Controllare la cappa due volte l'anno e pulirla il prima possibile,
a seconda della necessità.
Per una corretta manutenzione, smontare la cappa e pulirla
insieme al condotto dell'aria.

The WHR 50 unit is operated with a remote controller or with the
keyboard on the WHR 50 unit casing, as shown in the picture below.
The operation switches on the WHR 50 unit casing have limited
functionality and include activating the second and third speed
and setting three in four ventilation modes. The remote controller
has wider control capabilities.
