Assembly Instructions for Speaker Construction Kits "SPEAKA Set 1, 2 and 3"
*GB*
-Step 1: Inspect and sort the components
-Step 2: Glue on the mid-range housing (only set 2 and set 3).
Put the components together loosely first to show how the parts match. Then you may glue the housing parts together.
Ensure that the components fit as precisely as possible during gluing and that the joints are tight. The individual parts can
be fastened with adhesive tape until the glue has cured. This takes about 1 to 2 hours.
-Step 3: Glue on the mid-range housing to the front plate (only set 2 and set 3).
For this, put the MT housing centrally on the mid-tone cut-out on the interior of the front plate. Draw the outlines of the
housing onto the front plate. Use the outline to check if the housing is placed centrally on the cut-out. Then glue the MTĀhousing to the front plate. Ensure that the joints are tight when gluing. Place something heavy on the component to be
attached until the glue has cured (approx. 1 to 2 hours).
-Step 4: Glue on the sides to the bottom, cover (and mid-wall for set 3).
Put together the components loosely first to show how the parts match. Push the parts together so that the metal tips can
push into the wood. These metal tips serve as slip protection so that no part can slip when gluing. -Highest accuracy is
required here. Then you may glue the parts together. Ensure that the components fit as precisely as possible during gluing
and that the joints are tight. Ensure that there is a right angle. For this, put the front plate or rear wall onto the dry
component and compare the edges. The individual parts can be fastened with adhesive tape until the glue has cured. This takes about 1 to 2 hours.
-Step 5: Glue the body to the back.
Put the rear wall onto the body first and align the components. Push the rear wall on firmly so that the metal tips will push into the sides. Then glue the RW to the other parts. Ensure that the joints are tight when gluing. Place something heavy on
the component to be attached or fasten the parts together with adhesive tape until the glue has cured (approx. 1 to 2
hours).
-Step 6: Glue the body to the front.
Put the front plate onto the body first and align the components. Observe the top and bottom so that the connection
terminal is at the bottom of the rear in the end. Push the front on firmly so that the metal tips will push into the sides. Then glue the front to the other parts. Ensure that the joints are tight when gluing. Place something heavy on the speaker,
which is nearly finished now, or fasten the front with adhesive tape until the glue has cured (approx. 1 to 2 hours).
-Step 7: Sand the edges.
This should be done with an eccentric grinder or a similar tool to achieve best results. Then break the edges to avoid
danger of injury when touching them.
-Step 8: Surface treatment.
Now the speaker is ready for your desired surface treatment.
-Step 9: Component assembly.
When the surface treatment has been completed, the speakers and other components can be installed. Comply precisely with the included description of the speaker sets.
-Step 10: Function test of the individual speakers.
The subwoofer vibrations can be felt with your finger tips. The mid-range speaker and tweeter function can be tested by
covering and removing the cover. If you can hear a clear sound difference, the components are working.
-Step 11: Have fun!
