than the other) and only fits into AC power outlets one
way. If the plug won’t go into the outlet completely,

CD Player
OPEN/CLOSE — Opens or closes the disc tray.
DISC 1 - DISC 5 — Selects disc 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5
DISC SKIP — Skips to the next CD in the tray
STANDBY/POWER (RCA models)
— Turns power on or off (STANDBY mode). STANDBY/ POWER/ ECO (Thomson models) — keep pressing briefly STANDBY mode to enter ECO (power saving, without clock display) mode. PHONES — Jack for connecting headphones
SOURCE— Selects the CD player/ tuner/ tape player/ external source SET — Sets tuner or CD presets mode
DEMO/DIMMER — Turns the feature demonstration on or off
