1. For desktop usage, flip out the stand to its fully extended position until
you feel it engage and ‘click’ at the hinge. Place the speaker on a firm,
level surface. Do not lay the speaker on its back during playback.
2. For best bass response, the speaker should be placed near a wall.
3. To avoid adverse sound quality, do not place the speaker in confined
areas that are enclosed or block the sound wave dynamics.

Mounting your speakers on a wall
NOTICE: Do not mount the wall bracket on surfaces that are not sturdy
enough, or have hazards, such as electrical wire or plumbing, concealed
behind them. If you are unsure about installing the wall mounting bracket,
contact a qualified professional. Do not hang items from the brackets or
speakers. The brackets were specifically designed to support the weight of
‘Filo’ only.
1. Separate the soft IN2UIT name plate from the mounting bracket
2. Place the mounting bracket in the desired location against the wall and
mark the screw locations (x4) with a pencil, using the bracket as a
template. Use a tape measure to measure the height from the floor to
the marked holes and make sure they are level and equidistant. If you
plan to feed wires through the wall, mark the pilot hole position first.
3. Insert plastic screw sets into the holes first. The screws are self-tapping,
however if your wall surface is hard, like concrete, drill pilot holes to
insert anchor plugs for the screws to engage with. Remember always
7. Mounting operation is simple (see the picture inset), just align the
first aligning the corners. The mounting bracket is now ready to use
mounting bracket protrusion with the square hole receptacle in the back
of the unit. The two tiny hooks on the wall mounting bracket will engage
with the matching holes in the receptacle. Make sure it is seated and
engaged properly. It is a free hanging design, so you can attach/detach
Filo at your convenience for either wall or desk mounted listening
positions.
measure twice
4. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the screws (x4) provided
5. Tighten the screws until flush with the flat surface. It is important not to
screw in too tightly as the plastic mounting bracket could crack and
damage
6. Peel off the double sided tape and stick the soft name plate onto to the
recessed surface of the mounting bracket. Make sure it is square by
NOTICE: The ELECTROSTATZ™ tweeter panels, LHS & RHS, are dipole
i.e. sound waves travel in both directions. To maintain the highest quality
acoustic performance, never block the rear sound output area and always
maintain at least a 3cm distance between the tweeter panels and the wall.
The mounting bracket will automatically provided the clearance required

Audio input from 3.5mm stereo jack
You can connect non Bluetooth enabled audio devices, such as a portable
digital MP3 player, with Filo. This requires using an audio cable with a 3.5
mm stereo plug to connect with the 3.5mm jack input on the Filo system. A
3.5mm stereo cable, with plugs on both ends is required (not included in the
package).
1. Make sure the speakers are switched off.
2. Connect the 3.5mm plug to audio source (e.g. MP3 player)
3. Connect the other 3.5mm plug end to Filo
4. Disconnect any Bluetooth connections
5. Play music from a player connected via the 3.5mm stereo cable.
NOTICE: Using higher quality cables will improve the sound quality and help Filo speakers realize their full potential.
NOTICE: the device connected to Filo must have volume control.
NOTICE: Automatic Power shutdown. If there is no Bluetooth connection
or Line-in connection for over 10 minutes, the system shall automatically
shutdown. User needs to power on the system for usage after automatic
Portable operation
Filo is designed for mobile and convenient household usage as a wireless
Bluetooth speaker. It can be easily removed from the wall mount bracket and
placed on any flat surface. Filo can operate for up to 10 hours on a full
battery charge. If battery capacity is running on empty, the speaker will alarm
“DU” twice per twenty second to remind you to recharge the device.
NOTICE: battery protection. If you don’t recharge the speaker in low
battery situation, in a few minutes the speaker will automatic
shutdown for battery protection.
Charging the battery
To charge the battery, plug the power adapter cable into the DC-in socket on
the rear of the Filo speaker. Recommended charging time is 3 hours. When
the speaker turned on, the LED indicator will flash twice every 5 seconds
while the speaker is being charged, and the LED indicator will stop flash
when fully charged. When the speaker turned off, the LED indicator will turn
red while the speaker is being charged and the LED indicator will turn off
shutdown.

Optimization of audio performance
IN2UIT systems feature proprietary, leading edge Electrostatic Loudspeaker
(ESL) technology that we call our ELECTROSTATZ™ tweeter technology.
The ethereal acoustic characteristics provide the user with the highest class
of audio playback. In order to maximize this performance, it is advised to
read the following instructions:
1. ELECTROSTATZ™ tweeters are dipole transducers. This means
the sound waves are transmitted from both sides of the diaphragm in
opposite polarity. A dipole transducer produces one sound wave to
the front and another sound wave to the rear.
2. When mounted on the wall brackets, the distance and clearance
from the ELECTROSTATZ™ back plane to the wall is optimal. In
other possible placement criteria, users are advised to keep a
clearance of at least 3cm from any object that may cause blockage
of the front and rear sound waves. A blockage less than 3cm to the
rear of ESL speakers may result in the loss of sound pressure and
less volume output.
TROUBLESHOOTING
3. When correctly positioned, for example, closer to the wall, the
reflected ESL back sound wave can be amplified and help create a
wider, deeper sound stage for more realistic acoustic performance.
The result is life-like music reproduction previously unachieved in the
market place of comparably sized audio systems.
