Understanding Dust Mites
Roughly 4 out of 5 homes in the U.S. have detectable levels of dust mites as well as other allergens,
bacteria and viruses. Dust mites and their waste products are one of the most common causes
of year-round allergies and asthma. Due to their tiny size and translucent bodies, dust mites
can’t be seen with the naked eye. Dust mites flourish in the warm, humid temperatures of
homes and feed on the tiny flakes of human skin that people normally shed each day.
These flakes of skin work their way deep into the inner layers of furniture, bedding, and even
into stuffed toys — places where mites thrive.
We spend approximately 1/3 of our lives sleeping, where we shed a lot skin flakes and create
a warmer, more humid environment in our beds through our body heat and sweat.
This causes our mattresses and pillows to have the highest concentration of dust mites and
their allergenic waste.
Regularly using RAYCOP allergen vacuums on mattresses, bedding, pillows as well as other
fabric surfaces, is the most effective way to control dust mite allergies. When using RAYCOP,
very slowly push and pull the device across fabric surfaces, similarly to how you would use
an iron on clothes. This allows enough UV light exposure and suction to thoroughly clean the
buildup of dust mite matter, bacteria and viruses. Using RAYCOP frequently in the first weeks
will greatly reduce the dust mite population in your fabrics. Then, RAYCOP should be used
weekly to maintain low allergen levels in your fabrics.

UV Lamp Safety Sensors
A safety device that automatically turns off the UV Lamp when your vacuum is
moved away from the surface. The UV Lamp is automatically turned back on
when your vacuum is placed back on surface again.
Micro HEPA Filter Replacement Alert
RAYCOP will alert you when it is time to replace the Micro HEPA Filter.
You will hear 5 alert chimes, and the red light on the power button( ) will
start flashing.
This alert typically occurs after every 60 hours of use.
Motor Overheating Prevention System
When your vacuum is continuously used for 30 minutes, the motor
overheating prevention device automatically stops suction to prevent
overheating the motor.
This may also occur if the Dust Box or Dust Box Filter is clogged and
requires cleaning.

How to Clean
For best result, use the RAYCOP at least once a week.
(You may also use your RAYCOP daily to further sanitize your fabric)
×
●
Smoothly and thoroughly move
the RAYCOP over the fabric surface
without pressing it. Unlike a
regular vacuum, use RAYCOP as if
you are ironing a shirt, laying it
flat and moving it across the fabric
slowly and thoroughly.
Dust mites are most heavily concentrated in areas
where there is more contact with skin
Use the RAYCOP back and forth
multiple times to thoroughly sanitize
the fabric.
Dust mites are found to be more heavily
concentrated near our feet and head.
We recommend RAYCOP is used more
thoroughly in these areas.

Maintenance
■Device maintenance
Unplug the power code and wipe off the device body with dry cloth.
■Dust Box Filter and Dust Box maintenance
A clean filter optimizes suction power
and therefore it is recommended that Dust Box Filter is
cleaned each time after use.
Pull out the Dust Box as shown below.
1
Submerge the Dust Box with the Dust Box Filter attached into the sink
2
containing water. Remove the Dust Box Filter from the Dust Box underneath
the water and rinse it. (to prevent house dust from scattering.)
Remove the Dust Box Filter
by pressing the clips on
both sides.
Remove the debris and dust on the filter using a soft brush or
3
sponge to clean for best results.
How to Use
※ Brush is not included.
11
Maintenance
Dust Box Filter could get clogged and impacts suction strength.
Protein ( such as skin flakes) in house dust causes clogging. Periodically
soak the filter in neutral detergent diluted with water (water: detergent
ratio=9:1) for about 5 minutes and then thoroughly wash the filter by
using a brush. If this does not restore suction strength, replace the filter
with a new filter. Accessories can be purchased online at www.raycop.com
Dry the Dust Box Filter and Dust Box in a well
4
ventilated, shaded location until completely dry.
Caution
If the filter is not dried completely before use, moisture
and humidity may be sucked into the motor, resulting in
malfunction.
Insert the Dust Box Filter back into the Dust Box
5
until you hear a click sound.
DETERGENT
Attach the Dust Box back to the RAYCOP
6
as shown in the diagram.
※ Please press it until you hear a ‘click’ that
indicates it was attached properly.
Caution
· Do not attach the Dust Box to the RAYCOP
without first inserting the Dust Box Filter.
· Without the filter, house dust and other foreign
substances can enter the motor, which may cause
damage or fire.
Caution
· The Dust Box Filter is a consumable product. Replacement frequency is recommended
at every 5 to 6 months if you use the RAYCOP 10 minutes a day, every day.
Replace immediately if the filter is broken or clogged.
· RAYCOP consumables can be purchased at www.raycop.com

■Maintenance of the Pulsating Brush
If too much hair or debris is caught on the Pulsating Brush,
the Pulsating Brush may not function and will automatically
stop for safety reasons.
(The brush will automatically start rotating again about 3 seconds
after it stops.) Periodically remove any hair or obstacles on
the Pulsating Brush to ensure it operates correctly.
Slide the 2 grille hooks at both ends until you see the green indicator.

●
The product has been designed with a carefully
calibrated suction level to optimize removal of allergens
such as dust mite matters and house dust without
trapping the fabrics in the suction intake.
Suction is weaker and
the product makes
abnormal noises.
18
●
Please check if the suction intake or the Dust Box is
clogged with house dust, if the air vent is blocked, or
if the Dust Box Filter or the Micro HEPA Filter has
become dirty. (P. 11, 12, 16)
WhenChecking Point
The UV Lamp turned
off during use.
●
In certain cases, the UV surface detection sensor
could be confused if vacuum is used on darker
surfaces.
●
The UV Lamp might turn itself off if the vacuum is
not directly in contact with the fabric. This could
happen when attempting to use the product on
uneven surfaces.
●
The UV Lamp may not turn on if house dust or other
foreign substances cover the surface detection
sensor. Inspect and remove these substances. (P.5, 8)
If there is a new UV Lamp being replaced, make sure
●
it is securely installed by following the replacement
instruction. (P.15)
It is normal for the air vent to vent warm air.
●
This ventilation also serves as a cooling mechanism
for the vacuum motor.
●
There may be a rubber smell for approximately 3 months
after purchase.
Others
●
There may also be a smell if an excessive amount of
house dust is clogged in the Micro HEPA Filter.
In this case, replace the Micro HEPA Filter before the
recommended replacement period. (P.16)
●
The area around the UV Lamp may become discolored
after using the product for a long time and this is due
to the UV light from the UV Lamp. This discoloration is
not an abnormality.
●
The product may temporarily stop if excessive force is
applied to the Pulsating Brush, such as if it is forcibly
pushed down against the surface. This is a safety
mechanism and product will resume operation in
approximately 3 seconds.
