1. Einleitung

Zweck der Bedienungsanleitung
Die Bedienungsanleitung enthält wichtige Hinwei­se, um Ihren Mondo sicher, sachgerecht und wirt­schaftlich zu betreiben. Ihre Beachtung hilft Unfälle
zu verhüten, Reparaturkosten und Ausfallzeiten zu
vermindern und die Lebensdauer sowie die Zuverläs­sigkeit Ihres Mondos zu erhöhen. Die Bedienungs­anleitung gehört zum Lieferumfang der Maschine.

1.1 Sicherheits- und Warnhinweise

Beachten Sie folgende Sicherheits- und Warnbegriffe
in dieser Bedienungsanleitung.

Gefahr

Unmittelbare Gefahr, die schwere Personenschä­den oder den Tod zur Folge hat.

Warnung

Gefahr oder unsichere Handlung, die schwere Per­sonenschäden oder den Tod zur Folge hat.

Vorsicht

Bedeutet, dass geringer Personen-, oder Sach­schaden eintreten kann.

Achtung

Bedeutet, dass Materialschäden eintreten können.

Hinweis

Bedeutet Information, um die Maschine techni
schrichtig und effizient einzusetzen.

1.2 Bestimmungsgemässe Verwendung

Einsatz in der Landwirtschaft, Gartenbau, Grünflä­chen- und Anlagenpflege, sowie für den Winter­dienst. Antreiben von Anbaugeräten.

Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäss. Für hieraus resultie­rende Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht. Das
Risiko hierfür trägt allein der Benutzer.

Zur bestimmungsgemässen Verwendung gehört
auch die Einhaltung der vom Hersteller vorgeschrie­benen Bedienungs-, Wartungs,- und Instandhaltungs­bedingungen.

Das Gerät darf nur von Personen benutzt, gewartet
und instand gesetzt werden, die hiermit vertraut
und über die Gefahren unterrichtet sind.

Der Halter gewährleistet die bestimmungsge mässe
Verwendung und den betriebssicheren Zustand der
Maschine und Anbaugeräte.

Er benachrichtigt Rapid, sobald an der Maschine
oder an den Anbaugeräten Sicherheitsmängel
auftreten.

Komplexe Arbeiten an der Maschine führt
ausschliesslich eine autorisierte Rapid-Servicestelle
aus.

Konstruktive Änderungen oder das Anbauen von
Zusatzgeräten die Rapid nicht freigegeben hat,
bewirken den sofortigen Verlust des Garantiean­spruches.

Die einschlägigen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften so­wie die allgemein anerkannten sicherheitstechni­schen Regeln sind einzuhalten.

Verwenden Sie nur Rapid-Original-Ersatzteile.

Das Gerät nie bei laufemdem Motor unbeaufsichtigt
lassen.

Sichern Sie den Mondo gegen Wegrollen und un­befugtes Benutzen.

An Sicherheitsvorrichtungen dürfen keine Verände­rungen vorgenommen werden.

Warnschilder dürfen nicht entfernt werden. Verlore­ne oder schlecht lesbare Warnschilder sind zu
ersetzen.

2. Sicherheit

Benutzer des Mondos haben neben den Warnschil­dern und Warnhinweisen in der Bedienungsanlei­tung die nachfolgenden Bestimmungen strikte zu­befolgen.

Vor jeder Inbetriebnahme ist der Mondo auf Ver­kehrs- und Betriebssicherheit zu überprüfen.

Der Mondo ist nach dem Stand der Technik gebaut
und betriebssicher.

Beim Einsatz mit dem Mondo dürfen keine offenen
langen Haare, lose Kleidungsstücke oder Schmuck,
die sich im Gerät verfangen könnten, getragen
werden. Geschlossenes Schuhwerk mit griffiger
Sohle ist unbedingt erforderlich.

Beim Einsatz mit der Bodenfräse schaltet das
Anbaugerät beim Retourfahren automatisch aus.

Machen Sie sich mit allen Einrichtungen und
Betätigungselementen sowie mit deren Funktionen
vertraut.

Alle Mängel müssen vor jedem Einsatz behoben
werden.

Die Bedienungsperson trägt die volle Verantwortung
gegenüber Dritten im Arbeitsbereich. Halten Sie
Personen, besonders Kinder und Haustiere vom
Arbeitsbereich der Maschine fern.

Jede Arbeitsweise, die die Standsicherheit der Ma­schine beeinträchtigt, ist zu unterlassen.

Vor Arbeitsbeginn sind Fremdkörper von der zu
bearbeitenden Fläche zu entfernen. Marksteine,
Steinbrocken, Kanalisationsdeckel usw. sollen vor
dem Mähen mit einem Markierungspfosten gekenn­zeichnet werden.

Nur bei Tageslicht oder ausreichender künstlicher
Beleuchtung arbeiten.

Sie dürfen weder unter Alkohol- noch unter dem
Einfluss von Medikamenten stehen, wenn Sie das
Gerät benutzen.

Beachten Sie, dass dieses Gerät einen erhöhten
Kraftaufwand erfordert.

Lassen Sie nie Kinder dieses Gerät benutzen.

Auf dem Gerät dürfen keine Personen transportiert
werden.

GEFAHREN

Arbeiten am Hang

Warnung: Hanglagen vermeiden auf denen der

Mondo abrutschen oder umstürzen
könnte.

Massnahme: Umgebungsbedingungen beachten.

Untergrund vor der Arbeit inspizieren.
Richtige Bereifung wählen:
 Doppelräder, Gitterräder
Richtiger Luftdruck in den Reifen.

Arbeiten mit Anbaugeräten

Gefahr: Die Maschine kann Bediener oder

Drittpersonen erfassen, zu Fall brin­gen, überrollen, zerquetschen oder
zerschneiden.
Maschinenteile erst dann berühren,
wenn sie vollständig zum Stillstand
gekommen sind. Nachlaufen der be­weglichen Teile.

Massnahme: Bei Arbeiten mit Anbaugeräten (Mäh-

werk, Messer) ausreichend Distanz
einhalten.
Totmannhebel, Feststellbremse.

Fehlverhalten der Maschine

Warnung: Durch mechanische oder elektrische

Defekte am Mäher können unvorher­sehbare Reaktionen der Maschine ent­stehen.

Massnahme: Totmannhebel, Feststellbremse.

Feuer oder Vergiftung

Gefahr: Betriebsstoffe sind leicht entzündbar und

explosionsgefährlich. Verbrennungsab­gase können zur Erstickung führen.

Massnahme: Vor dem Tanken, Motor stetsabstellen.

Niemals Kraftstoff nachfüllen, wenn der
Motor läuft oder wenn der Motor noch
heiss ist, wenn Sie rauchen, in der Nähe
von offenem Feuer oder in geschlossenen
Räumen. Lassen Sie den Motor niemals
in geschlossenen Räumen laufen, da die
Abgase gesundheitsschädlich sind und
unter Umständen sogar tödliche Wirkung
haben können.

Lärm und Vibration

Vorsicht: Gesundheitsschäden durch Lärm und

Vibration. Bei zu langer Einwirkungs­zeit können Lärm- und Vibrationsbela­stungen zu gesundheitlichen Schäden
führen.

Massnahme: Gehörschutz tragen.

Arbeitszeit anpassen.

Funktion der Bedienungselemente

Es wird vorausgesetzt, dass Sie das Kapitel
"Sicherheit und Gefahren" gelesen und ver­standen haben.

3.1 Vorschub-Drehgriff

Mit dem Vorschub-Drehgriff wird die Fahrgeschwin­digkeit Vorwärts/Rückwärts eingestellt.
In der 0-Stellung bleibt die Maschine stehen.
Vor dem Starten muss sich der Vorschub-Drehgriff
in 0-Stellung befinden.

3.2 Gashebel

Der Gashebel stellt die Motorendrehzahl ein.

3.3 Feststellbremse

Mit der Feststellbremse sichern Sie den Mäher
gegen Wegrollen. Der Bremshebel wird mit der
Arretierklinke fixiert. Durch Betätigen der Feststell­bremse wird der Zapfwellenantrieb ausgeschaltet.

3.4 Totmannhebel

Diese Schalteinrichtung ist eine Sicherheitsvorrich­tung. Der Totmannhebel muss beim Arbeiten in
heruntergedrückter Position gehalten werden.

HINWEIS

Es darf nicht versucht werden, diese Funktion zu
umgehen.

3.5 Zapfwellenschalter

Die Zapfwelle wird eingschaltet, indem der Kipp­schalter "oben" gedrückt wird. Die Zapfwelle wird
ausgeschaltet indem der Kippschalter "unten" ge­drückt wird.

3.6 Differentialsperre

Die Differentialsperre kann während der Fahrt ein
und ausgeschaltet werden. Eingeschaltet bewirkt
sie ein Gleichlauf der Räder.

3.7 Freilaufhebel

Der Freilaufhebel überbrückt den Hydraulikkreislauf
der Pumpe. Der Freilauf ermöglicht es, dass er
Mondo von Hand verschoben werden kann. Bei
Freilauf verliert der Mondo die Bremswirkung des
Hydrauliksystems, aber nicht der mechanischen
Bremse.

HINWEIS

Der Mondo darf nicht an Fahrzeugen angehängt
verschoben werden. Es kann die Hydraulik zerstö­ren.

Niemals am Hang auf Freilauf stellen!

3.8 Holmhöhenverstellung

Durch Lösen des Verstellgriffs kann der Holm in die
gewüschte Position eingestellt werden. Holmhöhen­verstellung fest anziehen.

3.9 Schwenkholm (Standard, Plus)

3.9.1 Hebel für Schwenkholm

Durch Betätigung des Hebels kann der Holm
seitlich geschwenkt werden.
 in Fahrrichtung ± 20°
 Gegenfahrrichtung ± 30°

3.9.2 Verriegelung für Schwenkhom

Damit der Holm in die gegenüberliegende Stel­llung geschwenkt werden kann, muss die Holm­verriegelung betätigt werden.

3.10 Verriegelung für Anbaugeräte

Um die Anbaugeräte auszuwechseln, muss der
Hebel angehoben werden. Das Anbaugerät kann
nun durch leichtes Drehen herausgezogen werden.

4. Starten des Motors

Es wird vorausgesetzt, dass Sie das Kapitel
"Sicherheit und Gefahren" gelesen und
verstanden haben.

4.1 Starten des Benzinmotors

 Vorschub-Drehgriff in 0-Stellung bringen.
 Kraftstoffhahn öffnen.

 Choke in Pos. bringen.
 Gashebel in mittlere Stellung.
 Totmannhebel herunterdrücken und mit Feststell-

bremshebel arretieren.

 Den Reversierstarter mit gleichmässiger Kraft

ziehen. Anschliessend das Seil wieder langsam

aufrollen lassen.
 Motor läuft
 Choke langsam in Ausgangsstellung

schieben.
 Feststellbremse lösen.

4.2 Starten des Dieselmotors

Lombardini Diesel 7,5 PS

Vorschub-Drehgriff in 0-Stellung bringen.
Den Totmannhebel herunterdrücken, Feststellbrem­se nach oben ziehen und mit der Feststelltastear­retieren.
 Gashebel auf mittlere Stellung
 Den Reversierstarter mit gleichmässiger Kraft

ziehen. Anschliessend das Seil wieder langsam

aufrollen lassen.
 Motor läuft
 Feststellbremse lösen.

4.3 Abstellen des Motors

Durch Loslassen des Totmannhebels stellt die
Maschine automatisch ab.

HINWEIS

Halten Sie sich an die Vorschriften in der beiliegen­den Betriebsanleitung des Motorenherstellers.

6. Wartung

Es wird vorausgesetzt, dass Sie das Kapitel
"Sicherheit und Gefahren" gelesen und ver­standen haben.

Reinigungs- und Wartungsarbeiten,sowie Entfer­nung der Schutzeinrichtung, sind nur bei stillste­hendem Motor durchzuführen. Der Kerzenstecker
ist abzuziehen.

Nach der Reinigung müssen alle Teile, gemäss
Wartungsplan, geschmiert werden!

Muttern und Schrauben regelmässig auf festen Sitz
überprüfen!

Beim Nachfüllen von Hydrauliköl im Expansions­gefäss ist grösste Sauberkeit erforderlich.

An der hydrostatischen Achse dürfen keine Repara­turen ausgeführt werden.

Wird der Mondo länger als 2 Monate nicht benutzt,
empfehlen wir den Vergaser am Benzinmotor und
den Benzintank zu leeren. Dadurch vermeiden Sie
Ablagerungen im Kraftstoffsystem.

Die Batterie immer voll aufladen

Die Batterie verliert an jedem Tag, an dem das Gerät
nicht benutzt wird, etwas von ihrer Ladung. Sie
sollte vor der Benutzung bzw. alle zwei Monate
aufgeladen werden.

6.1 Betriebstörungen

Motor springt nicht an!

 Totmannhebel nicht heruntergedrückt.
 Benzintank leer oder Benzin zu alt.
 Kraftstoffleitung verstopft.
 Zündkerzenstecker nicht auf der Zündkerze.
 Zündkerze defekt.
 Choke in falscher Stellung.

Motor läuft, aber der Mäher fährt nicht!

 Stellung des Freilaufhebels überprüfen.

Zapfwelle dreht nicht!

 Bremshebel vollständig lösen.

Anlasser dreht nicht

 Batterie mit Ladegerät aufladen.

6.2 Wartungsplan

Alle wesentlichen Teile dieses Maschinentyps laufen im Ölbad. Die regelmässige Wartung beschränkt sich
auf folgende Punkte, die jedoch strikt eingehalten und sauber durchgeführt werden müssen.

Hydraulik-Getriebe: (Expansionsgefäss)

- Ölstand kontrollieren, evtl. nachfüllen
Topaz (SAE 20W/50) Standard
Penta (SAE 75W/140, syn.) Plus

1 Introduction

But du mode demploi

Le mode demploi contient dimportants conseils
sur une utilisation sûre, rationnelle et économique
de votre Mondo. Le respect de ces conseils vous
aidera à éviter des accidents, à limiter les frais de
réparations et les temps dimmobilisation de votre
Mondo, tout en augmentant sa fiabilité et sa durée
utile. Le mode demploi fait partie du volume de
fourniture de la machine.

1.1 Avertissements et remarques concernant la
sécurité

Veuillez observer tous les avertissements et re­marques de sécurité du présent mode d'emploi
dont l'explication vous est fournie ci-après.

Danger

Danger imminent pouvant blesser grièvement ou
mortellement une personne.

Avertissement
Danger ou maniement incertain pouvant blesser
grièvement ou mortellement une personne.

Précaution

Signifie quune personne pourrait être légèrement
blessée ou quun dommage minime pourrait être
causé.

Attention

Signifie que des dégâts matériels pourraient être
causés.

Remarque

Signifie qu'il s'agit d'une information donnée pour
utiliser correctement et efficacement la machine
du point de vue technique.

1.2 Utilisation conforme aux fins prévues

Utilisation dans l'agriculture, l'horticulture et
l'entretien des pelouses et des parcs ainsi que
pour les applications hivernale. Entraînement des
auxiliaires.

Toute autre utilisation sera sonsidérée comme
non conforme. Le fabricant ne pourra être tenu
responsable des dommages résultant d'une telle
utilisation; l'utilisateur en est entièrement respon­sable.

L'utilisation conforme supose également le
respect des conditions d'utilisation, de
maintenance et d'entretien prescriptes par le
fabricant.

La machine ne peut être utilisée, entretenue et
réparée que par les personnes familiarisées avec
ce type traveaux et ayant été informées des
dangers encourus.

Le propriétaire garantit non seulement l'utilisation
conformément aux fins prévues mais également le
fonctionnement fiable de la machine et de ses
accessoires.

Il informera immédiatement Rapid au cas où la
machine ou ses accessoires présenteraient des
vices affectant la sécurité.

Les travaux complexes sur la machine ne devront
être effectués que par un centre d'entretien
autorisé par Rapid.

Des modifications constructives ou l'adaption
d'accessoires sans l'accord prélable dela Rapid
ont pour pour effet la perte immédiate du droit à la
garantie.

Il convient de respecter les consignes de
prévention des accidents applicables et les règles
générales de sécurité.

N'utilisez que des pièces de rechange d'origine.

2 Règles de sécurité

Respectez les prescriptions de sécurité ett de
prévention des accidents concernées, ainsi que
les autres règles techniques de sécurité, de la
médicine du travail et de droit en matière de
circulation routière généralement reconnues.

Avant chaque mise en service, vérifier si l'appareil
peut circuler sur la voie publique et s'il est d'un
fonctionnement sûr.

La Mondo a été construite selon l'état actuel de la
technique et fonctionne fiablement.

Il est interdit de porter des cheveux longs au vent,
des vêtements amples ou des bijoux susceptibles
d'être pris dans l'appareil. Il est absolument
indispensable de porter des chaussures solides
et fermées avec des semelles antidérapantes.

Utilisé avec la fraise, lauxiliaire sera
automatiquement mis hors service en marche
arrière.

Familiarisez-vous avec tous les équipements et
les organes de commande et leurs fonctions.

Tous les défauts devront être éliminés avant la
mise en service.

La personne conduisant la machine est, dans son
rayon de travail, entièrement responsable envers
des tiers. Attention aux enfants et aux animaux!

Renoncez à tout mode de travail menaçant
léquilibre de la machine.

A pied doeuvre, inspectez la surface à travailler et
enlevez tous corps étrangers. Marquez dun
poteau des bornes, de grosses pierres, des
couvercles de canalisation etc.

Ne travaillez qu'à la lumière du jour ou que si
l'éclairage artificiel est suffisant.

Lorsque vous utilisez l'appareil, vous ne devez pas

Travail en pente

la Mondo pourrait glisser ou verser.

Mesure: Tenez compte de la situation environnante.

Contrôlez le sol avant de vous mettre au
travail.
Choisissez des pneus adéquats:
 roues jumelées, roues à grilles.
Veillez à ce que les pneus soient
correctement gonflés.

Dangers liés à la mise en oeuvre des auxiliaires

Danger: La machine peut happer, faire tomber, écraser,

broyer ou couper lutilisateur ou un tiers.
Attendez que les pièces de la machine soient
totalement immobilisées avant de les toucher.
Les pièces mobiles ne simmobilisent pas
immédiatement.

Mesure: Veillez à vous distancer suffisamment des

auxiliaires en marche (dispositif de coupe,
lames).

Utilisez le levier dhomme mort et le frein
darrêt

Mauvais fonctionnement de la machine

Danger: Un défaut mécanique ou électrique de la

faucheuse peut provoquer des réactions
imprévisibles.

Mesure: Utilisez le levier dhomme mort et le frein

darrêt

Incendie ou des gaz toxiques

Danger: Les carburants senflamment facilement et

risquent dexploser. Les gaz déchappement
peuvent asphyxier.

Mesure: Arrêtez toujours le moteur avant de faire le

plein dessence. Najoutez jamais du carbu
rant lorsque le moteur tourne, lorsquil est
encore chaud, lorsque vous fumez, lorsque
vous vous trouvez près dun feu nu ou dans
un local fermé. Ne laissez jamais le moteur
en marche dans un local fermé étant donné
que les gaz déchappement sont nuisibles à
la santé et quils pourraient même être
mortels dans certaines circonstances.

Bruit et les vibrations

Danger: Troubles de la santé causés par le bruit et

les vibrations. Une exposition prolongée au
bruit et aux vibrations peut nuire à la santé.

Mesure: Portez un protecteur douïe.

Adaptez la durée du travail.

Fonctions des organes de commande

Nous présumons que vous avez lu et compris
le chapitre "Sécurité et risques".

3.1 Poignée tournante

Cette poignée au mancheron droit du brancard
commande la vitesse de marche AV/AR. Si elle
est en position "0", la machine reste arrêtée.
Avant le démarrage, la poignée tournante doit être
en position "0"

3.2 Levier dgaz

Régler le régime du moteur avec le levier de gaz.

3.3 Frein darrêt

Le frein darrêt sert à assurer la machine, pour
quelle ne détale pas.
Le levier de frein est fixé à laide du cliquet darrêt.
Lentraînement de la prise de force est mis hors
service lorsque le frein darrêt est actionné.

3.4 Levier d'homme mort

Ce système de commande est un dispositif de
sécurité. Le levier d'homme mort doit être
maintenu en bas durant le travail.

REMARQUE

Il ne faut pas essayer de passer outre à cette
fonction.

3.5 Enclenchement de la prise de force

La prise de force est enclenchée en poussant le
commutateur à bascule vers le haut. La prise de
force est déclenchée en poussant le commutateur
à bascule vers le bas.

3.6 Blocage du différentiel

Le blocage du différentiel peut être enclenché et
déclenché pendant la marche. Enclenché, il
synchronise le roulement des roues.

3.7 Blocage du différentiel

Le levier du dispositif à roue libre ponte le circuit
hydraulique de la pompe. Le dispositif à roue libre
permet de déplacer manuellement la Mondo.
Celleci nest plus freinée par le système
hydraulique lorsque le dispositif à roue libre est
enclenché. Le frein mécanique reste en fonction.

REMARQUE

La Mondo ne devra en aucun cas être remorquée
par un véhicule. Ceci pourrait endommager
lhydraulique.

Ne la positionnez jamais sur "roue libre" en
pente!

3.8 Réglage de la hauteur du brancard

Le brancard peut être ajusté en fonction des
besoins en desserrant la poignée de réglage.
Immobiliser le guidon dans la position réglée.

3.9 Brancard pivotant (Standard, Plus)

3.9.1Levier pour le brancard pivotant
Ce levier permet dorienter latéralement le
brancard.
 dans le sens de la marche + 20°
 dans le sens inverse de la marche + 30°

3.9.2Mécanisme darrêt du brancard pivotant
Actionnez le mécanisme darrêt du brancard pour
faire pivoter le brancard sur la position opposée.

3.10 Mécanisme darrêt pour les auxiliaires

Soulevez le levier pour remplacer lauxiliaire.
Celui-ci pourra être retiré en tournant légèrement.

4 Démarreur de moteur

Nous présumons que vous avez lu et
compris le chapitre "Sécurité et risques".

4.1 Démarrage du moteur essence

 Placer la poignée tournante en position "0".
 Ouvrir le robinet de combustible.
 Pousser le choke en position.
 Pousser le levier dgaz en position médiane.
 Baissez le levier dhomme mort et bloquez à

laide du levier de frein.

 Tirez progressivement le cordon du démarreur

réversible et laissez-le ensuite se réenrouler

lentement.
 Le moteur tourne
 Repousser lentement le choke en position
 Desserrer le frein d'arrêt

4.2 Démarrage du moteur diesel

Placer la poignée tournante en position "0".
Enfoncer la levier dhomme mort, serrer le frein

d'arrêt en tirant vers le haut et bloquer à laide

de la touche de verrouillage.
 Pousser le levier dgaz en position médiane.
 Tirez progressivement le cordon du démarreur

réversible et laissez-le ensuite se réenrouler

lentement.

 Desserrer le frein d'arrêt

4.3 Arrêt du moteur

 La machine sarrête automatiquement si vous

lâchez le levier dhomme mort.

6 Entretien

Nous présumons que vous avez lu et compris
le chapitre "Sécurité et risques".

Les travaux de nettoyage et de maintenance ainsi
que le démontage du dispositif de protection ne
devront être effectués qu'après avoir déclenché la
transmission et arrêté le moteur. Retirez la cosse
de la bougie d'allumage.

Après le nettoyage, graisser toutes les pièces
selon le plan d'entretien.

Contrôlez régulièrement les vis et les écrous,
resserrez-les si nécessaire.

Après avoir rajouté de lhuile hydraulique dans le
vase dexpansion, veiller à la plus grande propreté.

Neffectuez aucune réparation sur lessieu
hydrostatique.

En cas d'immobilisation de plus de 2 mois de la
Mondo, vider le carburateur et le réservoir. On évite
ainsi des dépôts dans le réservoir de carburant.

La batterie doit toujours être chargée à plein

Etant donné qu'elle se décharge un peu chaque
jour, elle doit toujours être entièrement rechargée
avant le remisage. Elle devra également être
rechargée avant utilisation ou tous les deux mois.

6.1 Pannes

Le moteur ne démarre pas!

 Le levier d'homme mort n'est pas baissé

1. Introduzione

Scopo del modo dimpiego

Il modo dimpiego contiene dei consigli importanti
per una utilizzazione sicura, razionale ed economi­ca della Vostra Mondo. L'osservanza di questi
consigli Vi aiutera ad evitare degli infortuni, a limit­are le spese di riparazioni ed il tempo dimmobi­lizzazione della Mondo, aumentando la sua affida­bilità e la sua durata utile. Il modo dimpiego viene
sempre consegnato con la macchina.

Osservare i seguenti termini concernenti la sicu­rezza e i pericoli contenuti nelle presenti istruzi­oni per l'uso.

1.2 Impiego secondo le prescrizione

mento degli accessori od attrezzi senza accor­do della Rapid causano la perdità immediata

 Devono essere rispetate le relative norme anti-

fortunistiche e le regole di sicurezza tecnica

Non lasciare mai la macchina incustodita con
motore in moto.

Mettere al sicuro la macchina, per impedire che
possa rotolare via ed essere usata abusivamente.

Non deve essere apportata alcuna modifica ai dis­positivi di sicurezza.

Non togliete le placchette d'avvertimento. Se una
o l'altre manca o è diffilcemente leggibile, sosti­tuitela immediatamente.

2. Regole di sicurezza

Vanno rispettata le prescrizione per la sicurezza
e per la prevenzione degli infortuni così come tutte
le abituali regole generalmente riconosciute rigu­ardanti le tecniche di sicurezza, la medicina del
lavoro e le disposizioni legali in materia di circola­zione stradale.

Controllare ogni volta la sicurezza di movimento e
di funzionamento della macchina, prima di metter­la in funzione.

La Euro è stata costruita conformemente all'odier­no stato della tecnologia e garantisce un'ottima
sicurezza di funzionamento.

Quando si usa la macchina evitate di tenere ca­pelli lunghi sciolti, di indossare abiti ampi e slac­ciati o gioielli, che potrebbero impigliarsi nella
macchina. E indispensabile calzare scarpe robu­ste, davanti e di fianco alla macchina.

Durante limpiego di una fresa per terreno, latt­rezzo complementare viene disinserito automa­ticamente mentre si fa marcia indietro.

Familiarizzateri con tutti i dispositivi, tutti gli ele­menti di azionamento e controllo e con le loro
funzioni.

Prima di ogni intervento della macchina si devono
eliminare tutti i difetti eventualmente constatati.

Nella sua zona di lavoro loperatore è inteamente
responsabile verso terzi. Attenzione ai bambini ed
agli animali!

Tralasciate ogni azione che comprometta la sta­bilità della macchina.

Arrivato nella zona di lavoro, esaminate il terreno e
toglier e tutti i corpi estranei. Segnalate dun palo
grosse pietre, cippi, piastre di canalizzazione ecc.

Lavorare solo alla luce del giorno o con sufficiente
illumanizione artificiale.

Chi usa questa macchina non deve essere sotto
l'influenza di alcool o sotto l'influenza di farmaci.

Prendete nota che questo apparecchio richiede un
maggiore impiego di forza.

Non fare mai usare questa macchina ai bambini.

E vietato trasportare persone sulla macchina.

PERICOLI

Lavoro su pendii

Pericolo: Evitare pendii sui quali la Mondo potrebbe

scivolare o ribaltarsi.

Provve­dimenti: Tener conto dellambiente circostante.

Esaminare il fondo del terreno prima di
iniziare il lavoro.
Scegliere pneumatici adatti:
 ruote gemellate, ruote a griglia.
Assicurarsi che i pneumatici abbiano la
pressione giusta.

Lavoro con attrezzi complementari

Pericolo: Loperatore oaltre persone possono essere

afferrati, spinti, travolti, schiacciati o stri­tolati dalla macchina in movimento. Prima
di toccare componenti della macchina, at­tendere che questi siano completamente
fermi. I componenti mobili possono conti­nuare a ruotare anche a macchina spenta.

Provve- Quando si lavora con attrezzi complemen-
dimenti: tari (falciatrice, lama) mantenere sempre

una distanza sufficiente.
Leva uomo morto , freno di stazionamento.

Malfunzionamento della macchina

Pericolo: Eventuali difetti meccanici o elettrici della

falciatrice possono causare reazioni impre­vedibili della macchina.

Provve­dimenti: Leva uomo morto, freno di stazionamento.

Incendio o avvelenamento

Pericolo: I materiali desercizio sono facilmente in-

fiammabili e soggetti ad esplosione.I gas di
combustione possono causare il soffoca­mento.

Provve­dimenti: Prima di fare rifornimento si deve sempre

spegnere il motore. Non introdurre mai car­burante nel serbatoio quando il motore è in
funzione, quando il motore è ancora caldo,
quando si fuma nelle vicinanze della mac­china, quando la macchina si trova nelle im­mediate vicinanze di fiamme libere oppure
in locali chiusi.
Non far mai funzionare il motore in locali chi­usi, poiché i gas di scarico sono nocivi alla
salute e in determinate circostanze posso­no anche avere conseguenze mortali.

Rumori e vibrazioni

Pericolo: Danni alla salute causati da rumori e vibra-

zioni.
Se persistono per un lungo periodo di tem­po, i rumori e le vibrazioni possono causare
danni alla salute.

Provve­dimenti: Indossare cuffie di protezione.

Adattare lorario di lavoro.

3.8 Regolazione in altezza del manubrio

Dopo aver allentato il manico di regolazione, si
può regolare il manubrio nella posizione desi­derata.
Serrare con cura la regolazione in altezza.

3.9 Manubrio orientabile (Standard, Plus)

3.9.1 Leva manubrio orientabile

Tramite la leva si può orientare lateralmente il
manubrio.
 In direzione di marcia ±20°
 In direzione opposta alla marcia ±30°

3.9.2 Bloccaggio manubrio orientabile

Per poter orientare il manubrio nella posizione
opposta, si deve azionare il sbloccaggio del ma­nubrio.

3.10 Bloccaggio per attrezzi complementari

Per poter sostituire gli attrezzi complementari si
deve sollevare la leva. Per estrarre lattrezzo com­plementare lo si deve far girare leggermente.

Funzione e organi di comando

Si presuppone che abbiate letto e capito il
capitolo "Sicurezza e pericoli".

3.1 Manopola girevole

Questa manopola della stegola destra comanman­da la velocità di marcia avanti e indietro. Se è in
posizione "0", la macchina sta ferma.
Prima di mettere la macchina in moto assicurarsi
che la manopola girevole sta al "0."

3.2 Leva dellgas

La leva del gas regola la velaocità di rotazione del
motore.

3.3 Freno di sosta

Il freno di sosta serve ad impedire che la macchi­na "scappi" - si metta in moto da sola. La leva del
freno viene fissata con il nottolino di arresto. Quan­do si aziona la leva del freno di stazionamento, la
trazione presa di forza viene disinserita.

3.4 Dispositivo d'uomo morto a leva

Questo dispositivo di manovra è un dispositivo di
sicurezza. Durante il lavoro, la dispositivo d'uomo
a leva deve essere mantenuta in posizione pre­muta.

AVVERTENZA

Non si deve tentare di eludere questa funzione.

3.5 Interruttore per presa di forza

Per inserire la presa di forza si deve premere verso
i'alto linterruttore a leva. Per disinserire la presa
di forza si deve premere verso il basso linterrut­tore a leva.

3.6 Bloccaggio del differenziale

Durante la marcia si può inserire e disinserire il
differenziale bloccante. Quando è inserito causa il
funzionamento sincrono delle ruote.

3.7 Leva di funzionamento a vuoto

La leva di funzionamento a vuoto serve per bypas­sare il circuito idraulico della pompa. Il funziona­mento a vuoto consente di spingere a mano la
Mondo. Durante il funzionamento a vuoto, la Mon­do non dispone più delleffetto frenante del sistema
idraulico, ma conserva leffetto frenante del freno
meccanico.

AVVERTENZA

La Mondo non deve essere spinta quando è trai­nata da un autoveicolo. Ciò potrebbe danneggiare
il sistema idraulico

Non inserire mai il funzionamento a vuoto su
un pendio!

4. Avviamento del motore

Si presuppone che abbiate letto e capito il
capitolo "Sicurezza e pericoli".

4.1 Avviare il motore a benzina

Disporre la manopola di avanzamento in posi­zione "0".
 Aprire il rubinetto combustibile
 Spingere il choke in posizione.
 Spingere la leva dellgas in posizione mediane.
 Premere la leva di sicurezza e bloccarla con la

leva del freno.

 Tirare lavviatore reversibile applicando una

forza uniforme. Quindi, far riavvolgere lenta-

mente il cavo.
 Il motore funziona.
 Spingere lentamente il choke in posizione.
 Allentare il freno di stazionamento.

4.2 Avviare il motore diesel

Disporre la manopola di avanzamento in posi­zione "0".
Premere verso il basso la leva di sicurezza,

6. Manutenzione

Si presuppone che abbiate letto e capito il
capitolo "Sicurezza e pericoli".

I lavori di pulizia e manutenzione come pure la ri­mozione del dispositivo di protezione devono es­sere eseguiti solo dopo aver disinserito la trazione
e a motore fermo. Estrarre copricandela.

Dopo la pulizia, tutte le parti vanno ingrassate o
lubrificate conformemente al piano di manutenzi­one.

Controllare regolamente le viti e i dadi, stringere
se neccessario.

Quando si rabbocca olio idraulico nel vaso di
espansione si deve rispettare la massima pulizia.

Non eseguire mai riparazioni sullasse idrostatico.

Se la Mondo resta inutilizzata per più di 2 mesi,
il carburatore sul motore a benzina e il serbatoio
della benzina devono essere vuotati. Eviterete così
la formazione di sedimentazioni nel sistema di
alimentazione del carburante.

6.1 Guasti di funzionamento

Il motore non si mette in moto!

 Dispositivo d'uomo a leva non premuta verso

il basso.
 Serbatoio benzina vuoto o benzina troppo vec-

chia.
 Tubo carburante ottoratu.
 Copricandela non sulla candela.
 Candela di accensione difettosa.

1. Introducción

Fin de la instrucción de servicio

La presente instrucción de servicio contiene
indicaciones importantes para una utilización
segura, racional y económica de vuestra Mondo.
El re specto de este consejo os ayuda a evitar
accidentes, a limitar los gastos de reparaciones y
el tiempo de inmovilidad de vuestra máquina,
aumentando su fiabilidad y su longevidad. Las
instruccionesde servicio se entrega con la
máquina.

1.1 Indicadores de seguridad y de advertencias

Respectar las siguientes avisos de seguridad y de
avertencias de las instrucciones de servicio.

Peligro

Tomar toda las precauciones, pues los aperos
estan preparados para corte (Riesgo de heridas
por corte).

Atención

Un manejo no adecuado entabla mucho riesgo.

Precaución

Significa, que puede efectuar daños a terceros o
cosas.

Atención

Significa, que puede efectuar daños de material.

Aviso

Significa información, para un bien empleo técnico
y eficaz de la máquina.

1.2 Utilicación corretca

 Empleo en agricultura, horticultura, manteni

miento de praderas y de parques y utilización
invernal. Accionamiento de útiles.

 Todo uso que rebase estas instrucciones es un

uso no conforme al previsto. El fabricante no
asume responsabilidad alguna por los daños
resultantes de ello; el riesgo en tal sentido lo
soportará exclusivamente el usuario.

 Forma parte del uso conforme al previsto

también el cumplimiento de las condiciones
establecidas por el fabricante con respecto al
manejo, el mantenimiento y la conservación.

 El uso, mantenimiento y reparación de la

máquina deberán ser efectuados únicamente
por personas familiarizadas con ello y que se en
cuentren instruidas sobre los peligros
implicados.

 El operario debera usar la máquina y los útiles,

solo para el trabajo para lo que estan
diseñados.

 Si alguno de sus sistemas de seguridad

fallesen (contactar con el servicio-Rapid más
cercano).

 Unicamente las personas de un taller-Rapid

estan autorizados a efectuar reparaciones
complicadas.

 Modificaciones constructivas o acoplamientos

de útiles no autorizados por Rapid efectuan la
perdidad de garantía.

 Se exige cumplir las normas pertinentes de

prevención de accidentes así como las reglas
récnicas de seguridad, reconocidas en general.

 Utilizar exclusivamente piezas de recambio

originales.

2. Seguridad

Estos consejos son estrictos para un buen
funcionamiento con máquinas-Rapid.

Se conseja pasar un ITV para disponer de un
seguro de responsabilidad civil.

La construcción de la Mondo es de alta tecnología
y de manjeo muy segura.

Se recomienda de no llevar pelo largo suelto, de
vestidos o joyas sueltas, que podrían engancharse
a la máquina. Es absolutamente indispensable de
poner zapatos sólidos y bien cerrados con una
suela antideslizante.

Al retroceso se para automáticamente el
accionamiento del cultivador acoplado.

Familiarizarse con todos los equipos y los
órganos de mando y sus funciones.

Antes de empezar a trabajar revisar la máquina.

La persona conduciendo la motosegadora es en
su zona de trabajo, enteramente responsable
frente a terceros.

Evitar en todo momento la pérdidad de equilibrio y
estabilidad de la máquina.

Antes del inicio de trabajo, inspeccionar la
superficie del campo y quitar todas las partículas
externas. Marcar con un palo de demarcación las
grandes piedras, cubiertas de alcantarillado etc.

Para trabajar con seguridad, buena luz y
visibilidad son indispensables.

El operario no debe de trabajar bajo los efectos
del alcohol ni de medicamentos.

No olvidar que esta máquina exije un esfuerzo
físico importante al manejarlo.

Nunca permetir a niños de utilizar esta máquina.

Está prohibido de transportar sobre la máquina
personas.

Nunca dejar la Mondo sin vigilancia cuando el
motor está en marcha.

Para evitar riesgos, la Mondo siempre frenada.

Prohibido de modificar los dispositivos de
seguridad.

No quitar las placas de aviso. Cuando falten o
estén mal visibles, sustituirlas inmediatamente!

PELIGROS

Trabajar en pendientes

Peligro: Evitar pendientes fuertes, la Mondo

puede deslizar o volcear.

Prevención: Respectar el medio ambiente. Controlar

el suelo antes de empezar a trabajar.
Elegir bien el tipo de ruedas:
 doble ruedas, ruedas de zarpas.
Controlar la presión de los neumáticos.

Trabajar con útiles montados

Peligro: Nunca tocar elementos en rotación, ante

que sean totalemente parados. Peligro
para el operario o terceros de caer,
arollar, aplastar o cortar.

Prevención: Tener suficiente distancia (elementos de

corte, cuchillas) trabajando con útiles
montados.

Palanca de punto muerto, freno de
parada.

Fallos de la máquina

Peligro: Fallos mecánicos o eléctricos pueden

provocar una reacción inprevistas de la
máquina.

Prevención: Palanca de punto muerto, freno de

parada.

Encendio o intoxicación.

Peligro: El carburantes es inflamable y tienen

peligro de explosión. Gas de
combustión puede provocar hasta la
muerto por asfixia.

Prevención: Nunca llenar el deposito de carburante

con el motor en marcha con motor
sobrecaliente, fumando o dentro un
lugar cerrado. Peligro de salud o hasta
la muerte, dejando en marcha el motor
dentro un lugar cerrado.

Ruido y vibración

Peligro: Daños de salud por ruido y vibración

influencias constantes por fuertes
ruidos o vibraciones provocan daños de
salud.

Prevención: Proteger los oidos con cascos.

Proporcionar el tiempo de trabajo.

Funcionamiento de los elementos de mando

En condición del conocimiento del capítulo
seguridad y riesgos.

3.1 Empuñadura de avance giratoria

Con la empuñadura de avance giratoria se regula
la velocidad de la marcha adelante/atrás. En la
posición neutra 0 se queda parada la máquina.
Antes de meter en marcha poner la empuñadura
de avance giratoria en la posición 0.

3.2 Palanca de acelerador

Regula las revoluciones del motor.

3.3 Freno de mano

El freno de parada sirve para bloquear la máquina
y que no avanze sóla.

3.4 Palanca de punto muerto

Es un dispositivo de seguridad. La palanca de
punto muerto debe ser siempre apretada hacia
abajo durante el trabajo.

AVISO

Nunca debe ser manipulado este funcionamiento.

3.5 Interruptor basculante de la toma de fuerza

Accionando el interruptor por la dirección hacia
abajo se efectua la conexión de la toma de
fuerza. Para desconectar la toma de fuerza,
accionar el interruptor por la dirección hacia
arriba.

3.6 Bloqueo del diferencial

Se puede bloquear y desbloquear el diferencial
durante la marcha. El bloqueo efectua un
sincronismo de las ruedas.

3.7 Palanca de marcha en vacío

Accionandola hace puente del ciclo hidráulico de
la bomba hidráulica. La marcha en vacío efectua
que la máquina puede ser movida a mano. Con la
marcha en vacío se pierde el frenado del sistema
hidráulico, pero el frenado mecánico está activo.

AVISO

Está prohibios de remolcar la Mondo, riesgo de
roturas de la hidráulica.

Jamás poner la marcha en vacío trabajando
en pendientes!

3.8 Ajuste a la altura del brazo

Aflojanda la palanca del bulón de ajuste, puede
ajustarse la posición requerida.
Apretar con fuerza el ajuste de altura del
larguero.

3.9 Brazo giratorio

3.9.1Palanca de bloqueo del brazo

Accionar la palanca del bloqueo para desplazar el
brazo lateralmente.
 en marcha adelante ± 20°
 en marcha atrás ± 30°

3.9.2Bloqueo del brazo giratorio

Para desplazar el brazo giratorio en la posición
opuesta, se debe accionar anteriormente la
balanca del bloqueo.

3.10 Enciavamiento del útil

Para quitar el útil de la máquina, se debe levantar
del cerrojo de fijación y girar ligeramente el útil.

4. Arrancar el motor

En condición del conosimiento del capítulo
seguridad y riesgos.

4.1 Arranque del motor gasolina

Girar le empuñadura de avance giratoria a la
posición "0".
 Abrir el grifo de carbuante
 Posicionar el Choke
 Poner la palanca del acelerador en la posición

intermedia.

 Apretar hacia abajo la palanca del punto

muerto y bloquear el freno de mano.

 Tirar con fuerza proporcionado el starter

reversible y a continuación dejar enrollar

lentamente el cable.
 El motor gira.
 Posicionar lentamente el chocke en la

posición
 Soltar el freno de parada.

4.2 Arranque del motor diesel

Girar le empuñadura de avance giratoria a la
posición "0".
Apretar la dispositivo de punto muerto, levantar el
freno de parada y fijarlo con la tecla de sujeción.
 Poner la palanca del acelerador en la posición

intermedia.
 Tirar con fuerza proporcionado el starter

reversible y a continuación dejar enrollar

lentamente el cable.
 El motor gira.
 Soltar el freno de parada.

4.3 Parar el motor

 Quitando el mano de la palanca del punto

muerte, se para automáticamente la máquina.

6. Entretenimiento

En condición del conocimiento del capítulo
seguridad y riesgos.

Trabajos de limpieza y de mantenimiento, como
quitar elementos de protección pueden ser
efectuados unicamente con accionamiento
desconectado y con motor parado. Quitar el
capuchón de bujia.

Después de la limpieza, todas las piezas deberán
ser engrasados conforme al plan de
entretenimiento.

Controlar regularmente los tornillos y las tuercas,
apretar si es necesario.

Al reponer aceite hidráulico en el vaso de
expansión deben observarse escrupulosamente
las reglas de limpieza.

No efectuar reparaciones en eje hidráulico.

En caso de inmovilización de más de 2 meses de
la Mondo, vaciar el carburador y el tanque. Se
evita así el deposito de impurezas en el sistema
de carburante.

Cargar siempre por completo la batería

La batería pierde siempre algo de su carga por
cada día en el cual no se esté utilizando la
máquina. Se recomienda cargar la batería antes
de su uso co cada dos meses.

6.1 Averías

Motor no arranca!

 No está apretada la palanca de hombre muerto.
 Vacío el tanque de gasolina.
 Tubería de carburante tapada.
 No fijado el capuchón de bujia.
 En mal posición el Choke.

Motor en marcha, pero la máquina no
avanza!

 Controlar la posición de la palanca de marcha

en vacío.

No gira la toma de fuerza!

 Aflojar totalmente el freno.

El motor de arranque no se mueve!

 Recargar la batería con el equipo de recarga.

be in safe operating condition.

 The owner shall inform Rapid as soon as any

safety defects become apparent on the machi­ne or the ancillary equipment.

 Complex work on the machine must be under-

taken exclusively by an authorised Rapid ser­vice centre.

 If any changes to the structural design are ma-

de, or if any ancillary equipment which Rapid
has not released is built onto it, this shall cau­se the immediate loss of the guarantee claim.

 The relevant accident prevention regulations

and the generally recognised safety rules must
be followed.

 Only use original Rapid spare parts.

Never leave the machine unsupervised while the
engine is running.

Secure the Mondo against rolling away and un­authorised use.

No changes must be made to safety devices.

Warning signs must not be removed. Any missing
or poorly legible warning signs must be replaced.

2. Safety

In addition to the warning signs and the warnings
in the Operating Instructions, users of the Mondo
must comply strictly with the following provisions.

Before starting to operate the Mondo, it must al­ways be checked for safety in traffic and opera­tional safety.

The Mondo is manufactured in accordance with
the state-of-the-art, and is operationally safe.

When using the Mondo, it is forbidden to wear
loose long hair, loose garments or jewelry which
might become trapped in the machine. Closed
footwear with non-slip soles is indispensable.

When using the machine with the rotary hoe, the
ancillary equipment automatically switches off
when driving backwards.

Acquaint yourself with all the equipment and the
controls, and with their functions.

All defects must always be rectified before the
machine is used.

The operator bears full responsibility in respect of
third parties in the working area. Keep people (es­pecially children) and pets away from the machi­nes working area.

Any method of working which impairs the stability
of the machine is prohibited.

Before starting work, foreign bodies must be remo­ved from the area to be worked on. Milestones,
pieces of stone, drainage and pipework covers, etc.
should be identified with a marker post before mo­wing.

Only work during daylight, or with adequate artifi­cial light.

You must not be under the influence of alcohol or
drugs when you use the machine.

Note that this machine requires an increased ex­penditure of effort.

Never allow children to use this machine.

No persons must be transported on the machine.

DANGERS

Working on a slope

Danger: Avoid sloping sites on which the Mon-

do could skid away or overturn.

Precautions: Pay attention to the nature of the sur-

roundings. Inspect the subsoil before
working.
Select the correct tyre equipment:
 double wheels, cage wheels.
Ensure that the air pressure in the
tyres is correct.

Working with ancillary equipment

Danger: The machine can trap the user or third

persons, cause them to fall over, run
over them, crush them or lacerate
them.
Do not touch the machine parts until
they have come to a complete stand­still. The moving parts will run on.

Precautions: Keep your distance when working with

ancillary equipment (mowing unit, cut­ter).
Dead mans lever, parking brake.

Danger due to faulty behaviour by the machine

Danger: Mechanical or electrical faults on the

mower can lead to unpredictable reac­tions by the machine.

Precautions: Dead mans lever, parking brake.

Fire or poisoning

Danger: Fuels are highly inflammable and they

constitute an explosion hazard. Com­bustion gases can result in suffocation.

Precautions: Always turn the engine off before filling

up with fuel. Never top up the fuel while
the engine is running, when the engine
is still warm, if you are smoking, in the
vicinity of open flames, or in enclosed
rooms. Never let the engine run in en­closed rooms, since the exhaust gases
are dangerous to health and they may
even have fatal effects under certain
circumstances.

Noise and vibration

Danger: Health may be damaged due to noise

and vibration. Noise pollution and vibra­tions can lead to health impairments if
you are exposed to them for too long.

Precautions: Wear ear protectors.

Adjust your working hours accordingly.

Functions of the operating controls

It is assumed that you have read and under­stood the chapter entitled Safety and Dan­gers.

3.1 Advance rotary handle

The advance rotary handle is used to adjust the
driving speed, forwards / backwards. When the
handle is at position 0, the machine will remain at
a standstill. Before starting, the advance rotary
handle must be in the 0 position.

3.2 Gas lever

The gas lever adjusts the engine speed (rpms).

3.3 Parking brake

Use the parking brake to secure the mower
against rolling away. The brake lever is fixed in
position with the locking catch. Apply the parking
brake to switch off the power take-off shaft.

3.4 Dead mans lever

This switch is a safety device. While working, the
dead mans lever must be kept in the pressed­down position.

NOTE
You must not attempt to by-pass this function.

3.5 Switch for power take-off shaft

To switch the power take-off shaft on, press the
rocker switch down. To switch the power take-off
shaft off, press the rocker switch up.

3.6 Differential lock

The differential lock can be switched on and off
while driving. When it is switched on, it causes
the wheels to run synchronously.

3.7 Freewheel lever

The freewheel lever bridges over the hydraulic cir­cuit of the pump. Freewheeling allows the Mondo
to be moved by hand. In freewheeling mode, the
Mondo loses the braking effect of the hydraulic
system, but the mechanical brake is still effective.

NOTE

The Mondo must not be moved when it is coupled
to vehicles. This can damage the hydraulic syst­em.

Never select freewheeling mode on a slope!

3.8 Handlebar height adjustment

Release the adjusting handle to set the handle­bar to the desired position.
Tightly clamp handlebar height adjustment.

3.9 Swivelling handlebar

3.9.1 Lever for swivelling handlebar

Operate the lever to swivel the handlebar side­ways:
 in the direction of travel, ± 20º
 opposite to the direction of travel ± 30º

3.9.2 Locking device for the swivelling handlebar

To allow the handlebar to be swivelled into the
opposite position, the handlebar locking device
must be operated.

3.10 Locking for ancillary devices

To exchange ancillary devices, the lever must
be raised. The ancillary device can then be pul­led out by rotating it slightly.

4. Starting the engine

4.1 Starting the petrol engine

Set twist grip for forward motion to the "0" po­sition.
 Open the fuel shut-off cock.
 Move the choke to position
 Accelerator in the middle position.
 Press the dead mans handle down, and lock it

in position with the brake lever.

 Pull the reversing starter by applying uniform

force. Then let the cable wind up again slowly.
 Engine running
 Slowly push the choke to the starting

position
 Release locking brake

4.1 Starting the diesel engine

Set twist grip for forward motion to the "0" po­sition.
Press down the dead mans handle and pull the
locking brake upwards, locking this using the
locking stud.
 Accelerator in the middle position.
 Pull the reversing starter by applying uniform

force. Then let the cable wind up again slowly.
 Engine running
 Release locking brake

Turning the engine off

 Release the dead mans handle and the ma-

chine will switch off automatically.

6. Servicing

It is assumed that you have read and under­stood the chapter entitled Safety and Dan­gers.

Cleaning and servicing work, as well as removal of
the safety equipment, must only be performed
while the drive is switched off and the engine is at
a standstill. The spark plug socket must be pulled
off.

After cleaning, all parts must be lubricated as
shown in the Servicing Schedule.

Regularly check nuts and bolts for tight fit.

When topping up the expansion vessel, great care
must be taken to avoid spilling hydraulic oil.

No repairs must be carried out on the hydrostatic
axle.

If the Mondo is not used for longer than 2 months,
we recommend emptying the carburettor on the
petrol engine and the petrol tank. This will avoid
deposits in the fuel system.

Always charge the battery fully.

The battery loses a little of its charge on each day
that the machine is not in use. Its should be
charge before use or every two month.

6.1 Operating faults

Engine does not respond:

 Dead mans handle is not pressed down.
 Petrol tank is empty, or petrol is too old.
 Fuel line is clogged.
 Spark plug socket is not on the spark plug.
 Spark plug is faulty.
 Choke is in the wrong position.

Engine runs, but mower does not drive:

 Check the setting of the freewheel lever.

Power take-off shaft does not turn:

 Fully release the brake lever.

Guarantee

The guarantee is valid for one year. It commences the day of delivery and covers only the first buyer, as long as he respects
