IMPORTANT: This is a precision machine and the service obtained from it depends on the way it is

operated and maintained. This operators manual should be regarded as part of the machine. Suppliers of both new and

second-hand machines are advised to retain documentary evidence that this manual was provided with the machine.

This machine is designed solely for use in customary grass cutting operations. Use in any other way is considered as contrary to the intended use. Compliance with and strict adherence to the conditions of operation, service and repair as specified by the manufacturer, also constitute essential elements of the intended use.

Before attempting to operate this machine, ALL operators MUST read through this manual and make themselves thoroughly conversant with Safety Instructions, controls, lubrication and maintenance.

Accident prevention regulations, all other generally recognized regulations on safety and occupational medicine, and all road traffic regulations shall be observed at all times.

Any arbitrary modifications carried out on this machine may relieve the manufacturer of liability for any resulting damage or injury.

Prima di tentare di far funzionare questa macchina, TUTTI gli operatori DEVONO leggere questo manuale e conoscere a fondo le istruzioni di sicurezza, i comandi e i metodi di lubrificazione e manutenzione.

Occorre sempre osservare tutti i regolamenti anti-infortunistici, tutte le norme generali riconosciute sulla sicurezza e sulla medicina professionale, oltre ai regolamenti del codice stradale.

Qualsiasi modifica arbitraria apportata a questa macchina, può sollevare il fabbricante da ogni responsabilità per qualsiasi danno o infortunio che ne risulti.

Diese Betriebsanleitung sollte als Teil der Maschine angesehen werden. Wir empfehlen Lieferanten sowohl von neuen als auch von gebrauchten Maschinen, einen Nachweis darüber zu behalten, daß dieses Handbuch mit der Maschine geliefert wurde.

Diese Maschine muß ausschließlich zum traditionellen Schneiden von Gras verwendet werden. Wenn es für irgendeinen anderen Zweck verwendet wird, wird das als dem geplanten Gebrauch widersprechend angesehen. Ein Einhalten und strengstes Befolgen der vom Hersteller angegebenen Bedingungen bezüglich Betrieb, Instandhaltung und Reparatur stellen ebenfalls ein außerordentlich wichtiges Element des beabsichtigten Gebrauchs dar.

Bevor man versucht, diese Maschine zu betätigen, MÜSSEN ALLE Personen, die sie bedienen, dieses Handbuch durchlesen und sich selbst ausführlich mit der Sicherheitsanweisung, Regelung, Schmierung und Wartung vertraut machen.

Bestimmungen zur Unfallverhütung, alle anderen allgemein anerkannten Bestimmungen bezüglich Sicherheit und Berufsmedizin sowie alle Straßenverkehrsordnungen sollten jederzeit befolgt werden.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Ensure that the instructions in this book are read and fully understood. No person should be allowed to operate this machine unless they are fully acquainted with all the controls and the safety procedures. Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use this machine. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.

SAFETY SIGNS

It is essential all safety labels are kept legible, if they are missing or illegible they must be replaced. If any part of the machine is replaced and it originally carried a safety label, a new label must be affixed to the replacement part. New safety labels are obtainable from Ransomes dealers.

STARTING THE ENGINE

Before starting the engine check that the brakes are applied, drives are in neutral, guards are in position and intact, and bystanders are clear of the machine. Do not run the engine in a building without adequate ventilation.

DRIVING THE MACHINE

Before moving the machine, check to ensure that all parts are in good working order, paying particular attention to brakes, tyres, steering and the security of cutting blades. Replace faulty silencers, mow only in daylight or good artificial light Always observe the Highway Code both on and off the roads. Keep alert and aware at all times. Watch out for traffic when crossing or near roadways. Stop the blades rotating before crossing surfaces other than grass. Remember that some people are deaf or blind and that children and animals can be unpredictable. Keep travelling speeds low enough for an emergency stop to be effective and safe at all times, in any conditions. Remove or avoid obstructions in the area to be cut, thus reducing the possibility of injury to yourself and/ or bystanders. When reversing, take special care to ensure that the area behind is clear of obstructions and/or bystanders. DO NOT carry passengers. Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their property. When the machine is to be parked, stored or left unattended, lower the cutting means unless the transport locks are being used.

ISTRUZIONI DI FUNZIONAMENTO

Accertarsi che le istruzioni contenute in questo manuale siano lette e comprese perfettamente. Non si deve permettere a nessuna persona di fare funzionare questa macchina a meno di non aver familiarizzato completamente con tutti i controlli e le procedure di sicurezza. Non permettere mai a bambini o persone che non hanno completa familiarità con queste istruzioni, di utilizzare questa macchina. Le normative locali possono porre restrizioni per l’età dell’operatore.

SEGNALAZIONI DI SICUREZZA

È essenziale che tutte le etichette di sicurezza siano mantenute in condizioni leggibili. Se vengono a mancare o risultano illeggibili, occorre sostituirle. Se una qualsiasi parte della macchina viene sostituita ed originariamente portava un’etichetta di sicurezza, occorre apporre una nuova etichetta sul pezzo di ricambio. Per le nuove etichette di sicurezza rivolgersi ai concessionari Ransomes.

AVVIO DEL MOTORE

Prima di avviare il motore, controllare che il freno di stazionamento sia inserito, le marce siano in folle, le cuffie di sicurezza siano al loro posto ed intatte e che le persone presenti siano ben lontane dalla macchina. Non far funzionare il motore all’interno di un edificio senza che ci sia un’adeguata ventilazione.

GUIDA DELLA TOSAERBA

Prima di muovere la tosaerba, assicurarsi che tutte le parti siano in buone condizioni di funzionamento, facendo particolare attenzione ai freni, ai copertoni, allo sterzo e alla sicurezza delle lame di taglio. Sostituire le marmitte difettose. Falciare l’erba solamente alla luce del giorno o con una buona illuminazione artificiale. Osservare sempre il Codice della Strada, sia su strada sia fuori strada. Mantenersi attenti ed avere sempre il controllo della situazione. Fare attenzione al traffico nell’attraversare la strada o nelle sue vicinanze. Fermare la rotazione delle lame di taglio prima di passare sopra a superfici che non sono erbose. Ricordarsi che alcune persone sono sorde o cieche e che i bambini e gli animali possono comportarsi in modo imprevedibile. Mantenere sempre una velocità sufficientemente bassa della macchina, in modo da consentire una fermata di emergenza efficace e sicura in ogni circostanza. Togliere o evitare le ostruzioni entro l’area da tagliare, riducendo in tal modo la possibilità di lesioni sia per sè stessi sia per le persone presenti.

BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNGEN

Lesen und verstehen Sie alle Anweisungen in diesem Handbuch. Diese Maschine darf nur von Personen bedient werden, die mit allen Bedienelementen und den Sicherheitsbestimmungen völlig vertraut sind. Die Maschine niemals durch Kinder oder mit der Bedienung nicht vertraute Personen bedienen lassen. In verschiedenen Ländern ist für die Bedienung dieser Maschine ein Mindesalter vorgeschrieben.

SICHERHEITSAUFKLEBER

Alle Sicherheitsaufkleber müssen lesbar sein, fehlende und unleserlich gewordene sind unverzüglich zu ersetzen. Falls ein Teil der Maschine ausgetauscht wird, und das Originalteil einen Sicherheitsaufkleber trug, so muß auf dem Ersatzteil ebenfalls ein Sicherheitsaufkleber angebracht werden. Neue Sicherheitsaufkleber sind bei Ihrem Ransomes-Händler erhältlich.

ANLASSEN DES MOTORS

Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Anlassen des Motors, daß die Bremsen angezogen sind, die Antriebe auf Leerlauf geschaltet sind, die Schutzvorrichtungen richtig angebracht und intakt sind und sich keine Personen in der Nähe der Maschine aufhalten. Motor niemals in geschlossenen Räumen ohne ausreichende Belüftung laufen lassen.

FAHREN DER MASCHINE

Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Fahren der Maschine, daß sich alle Teile in einwandfreiem Zustand befinden. Besonders sorgfältig müssen Bremsen, Reifen, Lenkung und die Messer der Schneidzylinder überprüft werden. Ersetzen Sie defekte Schalldämpfer, mähen Sie nur bei Tageslicht oder ausreichender künstlicher Beleuchtung. Beachten Sie die Straßenverkehrsordnung auch abseits derStraße. Seien Sie jederzeit wachsam und konzentriert. Achten Sie auf den Verkehr, wenn Sie Straßen kreuzen oder neben ihnen fahren. Schalten Sie die Schneidzylinder aus, wenn Sie Flächen ohne Grasbewuchs passieren.

Denken Sie daran, daß manche Leute taub oder blind sind und daß Kinder und Tiere unberechenbar sind. Wählen Sie Ihre Fahrgeschwindigkeit so, daß Sie jederzeit und unter allen Bedingungen eine sichere Notbremsung vornehmen können.

While mowing, always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the equipment when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or deterioration. After striking a foreign object. Inspect. the lawnmower for damage and make repairs before restarting and operating the equipment. If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally, check immediately.

IMPORTANT: The machine must always be used in 4 wheel drive for cutting.

TRANSPORTING

Ensure that the cutting units are securely fastened in the transport position. Do not transport with cutting mechanism rotating. Drive the machine with due consideration of road and surface conditions, inclines and local undulations. Sudden decelerating or braking can cause the rear wheels to lift. Remember that the stability of the rear of the machine is reduced as the fuel is used.

IMPORTANT: Transport speed is for highway use only. Never select transport speed or two wheel drive on grass areas or uneven or unsurfaced roads or tracks.

LEAVING THE DRIVING POSITION

Park the machine on level ground. Before leaving the driving position, stop the engine and make sure all moving parts are stationary. Apply brakes and disengage all drives. Remove the starter key.

SLOPES

TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN WORKING ON SLOPES Local undulations and sinkage will change the general slope. Avoid ground conditions which can cause the machine to slide. Keep machine speeds low on slopes and during tight turns. Sudden decelerating or braking can cause the rear wheels to lift. Remember there is no such thing as a “safe” slope. Travel on grass slopes requires particular care.

DO NOT USE ON SLOPES GREATER THAN 15°

The slope 15° was calculated using static stability measurements according to the requirements of EN 836.

IMPORTANT: When working on any slope set the weight transfer to its maximum (+) setting.

Durante la marcia indietro, prestare particolare attenzione all’area sul retro ed accertarsi che sia libera da ostruzioni e/o persone. NON portare passeggeri. Ricordarsi che l’operatore o l’utente è responsabile degli incidenti e dei pericoli che si verificano in relazione alle terze persone o ai loro beni. Ricordarsi di abbassare i dispositivi di taglio ogni volta che si deve parcheggiare la macchina o lasciarla incustodita o fuori uso, a meno che non si siano inseriti i sistemi di blocco per il trasporto. Mentre si taglia l’erba, indossare sempre calzature robuste e pantaloni lunghi. Non fare funzionare la macchina a piedi scalzi o con sandali di tipo aperto. Verificare spesso che il dispositivo di raccolta dell’erba non sia usurato o avariato. Dopo aver colpito un oggetto estraneo, occorre controllare la falciatrice per verificare che non ci siano danni ed effettuare le riparazioni prima di riavviare la macchina. Controllare immediatamente se, durante il funzionamento, si notano vibrazioni anormali.

IMPORTANTE: per il taglio la tosaerba deve essere sempre impostata sull’azionamento a 4 ruote motrici.

TRASPORTO

Assicurarsi che le unità di taglio siano fermate in modo sicuro nella posizione di trasporto. Non trasportare la macchina con il meccanismo di taglio in rotazione. Guidare la macchina facendo attenzione alle condizioni ed alla superficie della strada, alle pendenze ed alle ondulazioni del suolo. Una decelerazione o frenata improvvisa può causare il sollevamento delle ruote posteriori. Ricordarsi che man mano che viene utilizzato il carburante, si riduce la stabilità della parte posteriore della macchina.

IMPORTANTE: la velocità di trasporto riguarda solamente i tragitti su strade pubbliche. Non procedere mai su aree erbose o su strade accidentate o non asfaltate.

ABBANDONO DELLA POSIZIONE DI GUIDA

Parcheggiare la macchina su terreno piano. Prima di lasciare la posizione di guida, assicurarsi che tutte le parti ruotanti si siano fermate. Applicare i freni e disinserire tutti i dispositivi di azionamento. Togliere la chiave di avviamento.

PENDENZE

PRESTARE PARTICOLARE ATTENZIONE QUANDO SI LAVORA SUI TERRENI IN PENDENZA Le ondulazioni locali e l’affondamento, causeranno un cambiamento della pendenza generale. Evitare di operare in condizioni di terreno tali da poter causare lo scivolamento della macchina. Tenere bassa la velocità della macchina sulle pendenze e nelle curve strette.

Entfernen Sie alle Fremdkörper von der Arbeitsfläche und umfahren Sie Hindernisse. Dadurch verringert sich die Verletzungsgefahr für den Bediener und Nebenstehende. Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Rückwärtsfahren, daß sich hinter der Maschine keine Hindernisse befinden und sich dort niemand aufhält. Nehmen Sie keine Beifahrer mit.

Denken Sie daran, daß der Bediener für Unfälle mit Personen oder Beschädigungen der Arbeitsfläche verantwortlich ist. Beim unbeaufsichtigten Abstellen der Maschine senken Sie die Schneideinheiten ab oder benutzen die Transportsicherungen. Tragen Sie während des Mähens immer festes Schuhwerk und lange Hosen. Benutzen Sie die Maschine nicht barfuß oder mit offenen Sandalen. Prüfen Sie regelmäßig die Grasfangkörbe auf Verschleiß oder Zustandsänderung. Nach einer Kollosion mit Fremdkörpern überprüfen Sie die Maschine auf Beschädigungen und führen die notwendigen Reparaturen vor der weiteren Benutzung durch. Bei auftretenden außergewöhnlichen Vibrationen unverzüglich die Ursache feststellen und beseitigen.

TRANSPORT

Schneideinheiten in Transportstellung mit den Transportsicherungen sichern. Die Maschine niemals mit drehenden Schneidzylindern transportieren. Berücksichtigen Sie beim Fahren die Straßen- und Bodenbeschaffenheit, Steigerungen und einzelne Unebenheiten. Durch plötzliche Geschwindigkeitsverringerung oder Bremsen kann das Hinterrad vom Boden abheben. Denken Sie daran, daß mit zunehmendem Kraftstoffverbrauch die Hinterradbelastung abnimmt.

WICHTIG:

Die „Transport“ Stellung des Fahrantriebes darf nur auf befestigten Straßen benutzt werden, niemals jedoch auf Grasflächen, unebenen oder unbefestigten Wegen oder Fahrspuren.

VERLASSEN DES FAHRSITZES

Maschine auf ebener Fläche abstellen. Vor dem Verlassen des Fahrersitzes Motor abstellen und warten, bis alle beweglichen Teile zum Stillstand gekommen sind. Bremsen anziehen und alle Antriebe ausschalten. Schlüssel abziehen.

MÄHEN AN HÄNGEN

ÄUSSERSTE VORSICHT BEIM ARBEITEN AN HÄNGEN. Einzelne Erhebungen und Einbuchtungen verändern das normale Hanggefälle. Vermeiden Sie Flächen, auf denen die Maschine ins Rutschen kommen kann. Plötzliche Geschwindigkeitsänderung oder Bremsen kann das Hinterrad zum Abheben bringen. Denken Sie daran, es gibt keinen „sicheren“ Hang. Das Fahren auf Grashängen erfordert besondere Vorsicht.

BLOCKED CUTTING CYLINDERS

Stop the engine and make sure all moving parts are stationary. Apply brakes and disengage all drives. Release blockages with care. Keep all parts of the body away from the cutting edge. Beware of energy in the drive which can cause rotation when the blockage is released. Keep other people away from the cutting units as rotation of one cylinder can cause the others to rotate.

ADJUSTMENTS, LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE

Stop the engine and make sure all moving parts are stationary. Apply brakes and disengage all drives. Read all the appropriate servicing instructions. Use only the replacement parts supplied by the original manufacturer. When adjusting the cutting cylinders take care not to get hands and feet trapped when rotating cylinders. Make sure that other people are not touching any cutting units, as rotation of one cylinder can cause the others to rotate. To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine, silencer and battery compartments free of grass, leaves or excessive grease. Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. When working underneath lifted parts or machines, make sure adequate support Is provided. Do not dismantle the machine without releasing or restraining forces which can cause parts to move suddenly. Do not alter engine speed above maximum quoted in Engine Specification. Do not change the engine governor settings or overspeed the engine. Operating the engine at excessive speed may increase the hazard of personal injury. When refuelling, STOP THE ENGINE, DO NOT SMOKE. Add fuel before starting the engine, never add fuel while the engine is running. Use a funnel when pouring fuel from a can into the tank. Do not fill the fuel tank beyond the bottom of the filler neck. Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely. Store fuel in containers specifically designed for this purpose. Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refuelling. If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine but move the machine away from the area of spillage and avoid creating any source of ignition until petrol vapours have dissipated. Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure. Never store the equipment with petrol in the tank inside a building where fumes may reach an open flame or spark. If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done outdoors. Do not spill fuel onto hot components. When servicing batteries, DO NOT SMOKE, and keep naked lights away. Do not place any metal

objects across the terminals.

Una decelerazione o frenata improvvisa, può causare il sollevamento delle ruote posteriori. Si ricordi che non esiste una pendenza “sicura”. Occorre prestare particolare attenzione, quando ci si sposta sulle pendenze erbose.

NON UTILIZZARE SU PENDENZE SUPERIORI A 15°

BENUTZEN SIE DIE MASCHINE NICHT AN NEIGUNGEN GRÖßER ALS 15°.

Die Neigung 15° wurde berechnet für das Grenzkippverhalten gemäß der DIN EN 836.

IMPORTANTE: quando si lavora su una qualunque pendenza, impostare il trasferimento di peso sulla massima impostazione (+).

CILINDRI DI TAGLIO BLOCCATI

Spegnere il motore ed accertarsi che tutte le parti in movimento si siano fermate. Azionare i freni e disinserire tutti i sistemi di azionamento. Liberare ciò che causa l’inceppamento, tenendo tutte le parti del corpo lontane dai bordi taglienti. Fare attenzione all’energia rimanente nel sistema di azionamento che può causare una rotazione dopo la rimozione dell’inceppamento. REGOLAZIONI, LUBRIFICAZIONE E MANUTENZIONE

Spegnere il motore ed accertarsi che tutte le parti in movimento si siano fermate. Azionare i freni e disinserire tutti i sistemi di azionamento. Leggere tutte le istruzioni riguardanti la manutenzione. Impiegare solo le parti di ricambio originali fornite dal fabbricante. Quando si regolano i cilindri di taglio, fare attenzione che mani e pieni non rimangano intrappolati, quando i cilindri entrano in rotazione. Assicurarsi che altre persone non stiano toccando nessuna unità di taglio, in quanto la rotazione di un cilindro può causare anche la rotazione degli altri cilindri. Per ridurre il rischio di incendio, tenere il vano motore, la marmitta e lo scompartimento della batteria liberi da erba, foglie e grasso eccessivo. Sostituire, anche per motivi di sicurrezza, i pezzi usurati o avariati. Quando si lavora sotto a parti e/o macchine che sono state sollevate, assicurarsi di avere un supporto sufficiente. Non smontare la macchina senza aver prima liberato o trattenuto quelle forze che possono causare un improvviso movimento delle parti. Non modificare la velocità del motore al di sopra della velocità massima citata nelle Specifiche tecniche del motore. Non modificare la messa a punto del regolatore del motore o fare girare il motore a velocità eccessive, in

Zur Verringerung der Brandgefahr Motor, Schalldämpfer und Batteriebehälter frei von Gras, Laub und überschüssigem Fett halten. Verschlissene oder beschädigte Teile aus Sicherheitsgründen austauschen. . Bei Arbeiten unter angehobenen Teilen oder angehobener Maschine immer für ausreichende feste Abstützung sorgen. Vor dem Zerlegen der Maschine durch Druckablassen oder Sichern von Bauteilen dafür sorgen, daß keine frei werdende Energie Teile plötzlich in Bewegung bringen. Höchstzulässige Motordrehzahl gemäß technischen Daten nicht überschreiten. Keine Reglereinstellung verändern oder den Motor überdrehen. Betreiben des Motors mit Überdrehzahl kann die Verletzungsgefahr des Bedieners vergrößern. Beim Tanken MOTOR ABSTELLEN, NICHT RAUCHEN. Lasciare raffreddare il motore prima di riporre la macchina in qualsiasi ambiente ristretto. Non ricoverare la macchina con la benzina ancora nel serbatoio in edifici in cui i vapori possono raggiungere una fiamma nuda o una scintilla. Se occorre scolare il serbatoio del carburante sulle parti calde, quest’operazione deve essere compiuta all’aperto. Non versare il carburante sulle parti calde. Durante la manutenzione delle batterie, NON FUMARE e tenere lontane le fiamme nude. Non collegare oggetti metallici fra i suoi terminali.

AVVERTENZA: L’olio idraulico sotto pressione eventualmente fuoriuscito dall’impianto, può penetrare nella pelle e provocare gravi lesioni e richiede l’immediato intervento di un medico.

Die Maschine wurde auf Schwingungsbeschleunigungen für den Körper gesamt und Hand / Arm geprüft. Die Prüfung wurde mit dem Bediener in normaler Sitzposition mit beiden Händen am Lenkrad bei stehender Maschine mit laufendem Motor und eingeschalteten Schneidzylindern vorgenommen.

G - GLOW PLUG LIGHT

Light comes on when ignition switch is turned left to the glow plug preheat position. Light turns off automatically when glow plugs are preheated (5-10 sec.)

H - IGNITION SWITCH

The ignition switch has four positions. Center is OFF. All the way clockwise is START. Part way to the detent clockwise is ON without start. Counterclockwise operates the glow plug heater.

I - MOW/TRANSPORT SWITCH

Push bottom of rocker switch to put mower in 2wheel drive (for transport). Push top for 4-wheel drive (for mowing). Cutting units will not come on in 2-wheel drive.

J - CUTTING UNIT SWITCHES

Push bottom of rocker switch and operate foot switch to start cutting units rotating. Push top of rocker switch to stop cutter unit rotation. (Cutting units stop rotating automatically when raised.)

K - FUSES

Blade-type fuses are used to protect electrical circuit.

L - STEERING WHEEL LOCK

Allows adjustment of the steering wheel.

M - HOURMETER

Records engine running hours.

La spia di accende in caso di pressione insufficiente dell’olio del motore.

La spia si accende in caso di temperatura eccessiva dell’olio idraulico.

E: LEVA DELL’ACCELERATORE

In avanti per aumentare il regime del motore, indietro per diminuirlo.

La spia si accende in caso di mancata ricarica della batteria.

G: SPIA DELLE CANDELE AD INCANDESCENZA

La spia si accende quando l’interruttore di accensione viene lasciato sulla posizione di preriscaldamento delle candele ad incandescenza (a sinistra). La spia si spegne automaticamente quando le candele ad incandescenza raggiungono la temperatura prevista (5-10 sec.)

H: INTERRUTTORE DI ACCENSIONE

L’interruttore di accensione è dotato di quattro posizioni. La posizione centrale indica che l’interruttore è DISINSERITO. L’ultima posizione in senso orario indicata AVVIAMENTO. La prima posizione in senso orario indica INSERITO senza avviamento. La posizione in senso antiorario inserisce il riscaldatore delle candele ad incandescenza.

I: INTERRUTTORE DI TOSATURA/TRASPOSTO

Premere la parte inferiore dell’interruttore a bilanciere per inserire la modalità a 2 ruote motrici del tosaerba (per il trasporto). Premere la parte superiore per inserire la modalità a 4 ruote motrici (per la tosatura). Nella modalità a 2 ruote motrici, le unità di taglio non vengono azionate.

J: INTERRUTTORE DELLE UNITÀ DI TAGLIO

Premere la parte inferiore dell’interruttore a bilanciere e premere il pedale per avviare la rotazione delle unità di taglio. Premere la parte superiore del pedale per arrestare la rotazione delle unità di taglio. (La rotazione delle unità di taglio viene arrestata automaticamente quando sono sollevate).

K: FUSIBILI

Fusibili a forcella destinati a proteggere l’impianto elettrico.

L: DISPOSITIVO DI BLOCCAGGIO VOLANTE

Consente di regolare la posizione del volante.

H - SCHLÜSSELSCHALTER

Der Schlüsselschalter hat vier Stellungen. Senkrecht: AUS. Nach rechts zum Anschlag: ANLASSEN. Halb nach rechts: EIN ohne Anlassen. Drehung nach links betätigt die Vorglühanlage.

I - SCHALTER ALLRADANTRIEB (ARBEITS- / TRANSPORT-GESCHWINDIGKEIT)

Zur Schaltung 2 - Radantrieb (Transport) unteres Ende des Kippschalters drücken. Zur Schaltung des 4 Radantriebes (Mähen) oberes Ende des Kippschalters drücken. Die Schneidzylinder lassen sich nicht im 2 Radantrieb schalten.

J - SCHALTER SCHNEIDZYLINDERANTRIEB

Unteres Ende des Kippschalters und Fußschalter zum Einschalten der Schneidzylinder drücken. Zum Anhalten der Schneidzylinder oberes Ende des Kippschalters drücken. (Schneidzylinder stoppen automatisch beim Ausheben der Schneideinheiten.)

K - SICHERUNGEN

Zur Absicherung der einzelnen Schaltkreise werden Stecksicherungen verwendet.

L - LENKSÄULENVERRIEGELUNG

Ermöglicht die Verstellung der Lenksäule.

M - BETRIEBSSTUNDENZÄHLER

Zeigt die Betriebsstunden des Motors an.

A - FWD/REV PEDAL

Pushing down the top plate of the pedal moves machine forward. Pushing down the rear plate moves machine in reverse. Motions forward or reverse are increased by more pressure. Pedal automatically returns to the neutral position when foot pressure is removed.

B - NEUTRAL LATCH

Has two functions:

1. The engine cannot be started when the Neutral Latch is depressed.

2. The FWD/REV pedal will not work as described if the Neutral Latch is not simultaneously depressed.

C - SPEED LIMITER

Forward traveling speed is limited by the adjustable Speed Limiter, shown in its least limiting position.

D - REEL TRANSPORT STOP (FRONT)

Depressing this pedal while lifting the cutting units allows the cutting units to be raised for machine transport.

E - BRAKES

Push this pedal forward until it locks to set parking brake. Release parking brake by pushing the brake pedal at the same time lever Y is pulled up.

Depressing this pedal before lifting the cutting units allows the cutting units to be raised for machine transport.

A: PEDALE MARCIA AVANTI/MARCIA INDIETRO

Premendo la parte superiore del pedale, viene inserita la marcia avanti del tosaerba, premendo la parte inferiore del pedale viene inserita la retromarcia del tosaerba. La velocità di marcia è diretamente propozionale alla pressione esercitata sul pedale. Il pedale ritorna automaticamente alla posizione di folle quando si toglie il piede dal pedale.

B: DISPOSITIVO DI BLOCCAGGIO IN FOLLE

Svolge due funzioni:

1. Una volta inserito, impedisce l’avviamento del motore quando viene premuto il pedale di inserimento del dispositivo.

2. Qualora non venga inserito contemporaneamente alla pressione del pedale MARCIA AVANTI/RETROMARCIA, quest’ultimo non funziona come suindicato.

C: RIDUTTORE DI VELOCITÀ

Il riduttore di velocità consente di ridurre la velocità di marcia avanti ed è illustrato nella posizione di riduzione di velocità minima.

D: FERMO DEL GIRALAME PER IL TRASPORTO DEL TOSAERBA (ANTERIORE)

Premendo questo pedale durante il sollevamento delle unità di taglio si consente di sollevarle per il trasporto del tosaerba.

E: FRENI

Premere il pedale in avanti fino a quando viene inserito il freno di stazionamento. Per disinserire il freno di stazionamento, premere il pedale del freno mentre si solleva la leva Y.

A - FAHRPEDAL VORWÄRTS / RÜCKWÄRTS

Zur Vorwärtsfahrt Fahrpedal nach vorne drücken. Zur Rückwärtsfahrt Fahrpedal nach hinten drücken. Stärkerer Druck auf das Pedal erhöht die Vorwärts- bzw Rückwartsgeschwindigkeit. Das losgelassene Pedal kehrt automatisch in die Leerlaufstellung zurück.

B - LEERLAUFARRETIERUNG

Hat 2 Funktionen:

1. Bei getretener Leerlaufarretierung kann der Motor nicht angelassen werden.

2. Das Fahrpedal laßt sich nur bei gleichzeitigem Niederdrücken der Leerlaufarretierung betätigen.

C - GESCHWINDIGKEITSBEGRENZER

Die Vorwärtsgeschwindigkeit wird durch den verstellbaren Anschlag begrenzt, hier in der schnellsten Stellung gezeigt.

D - TROMMELTRANSPORT STOP (VORN)

Betätigen dieses Pedals bei gleichzeitig Heben der Krallen ermöglicht das Anheben der Krallen so weit, daß die Maschine transportiert werden kann.

E - FESTSTELLBREMSE

Niedertreten des Pedales bis zum Einrasten betätigt die Feststellbremse. Lösen der Feststellbremse durch gleichzeitiges Treten des Pedales und Hochziehen des Hebels Y.

F - TROMMELTRANSPORT STOP (NUR FAIRWAY 405 ÄUSSERSTE SCHNEIDEINHEITEN)

Betätigen dieses Pedals vor Heben der Krallen ermöglicht das Anheben der Krallen so weit, daß die Maschine transportiert werden kann.

F: FERMO DEL GIRALAME PER IL TRASPORTO DEL TOSAERBA (SOLO LE UNITA’ DI TAGLIO ESTERNE FAIRWAY 405)

Premendo questo pedale prima del sollevamento delle unità di taglio si consente di sollevarle per il trasporto del tosaerba.

Move back and hold to raise the cutteing units. Move forward and hold to lower the cutteing units. The lever automatically returns to a neutral position when released.

B - ROTATIONAL SPEED

Continuous adjustment of reel rotational speed, from stopped to full speed (approximately 1,300 rpm).

C - WEIGHT TRANSFER

Transfers weight between cutting units and drive wheels. More weight on the cutting units makes them track the ground contour more closely.

D - LIFT LEVERS (FAIRWAY 405)

Centre lever lifts all seven cutting unit, front to rear sequentialy for cross cut capability.

Front lever lifts cutting unit number even, left hand wing individually.

A: LEVA DI SOLLEVAMENTO

Spostare indietro la leva e tenerla in questa posizione per sollevare le unità di taglio. Spostare in avanti la leva e tenerla in questa posizione per abbassare le unità di taglio. Una volta rilasciata, la leva ritorna automaticamente alla posizione neutra.

B: VELOCITÀ DI ROTAZIONE

Costante regolazione della velocità di rotazione del gruppo giralame: da arresto a velocità massima (circa 1.300 giri/min).

C: TRASFERIMENTO DEL PESO

Trasferimento del peso tra le unità di taglio e le ruote motrici. Il maggiore peso esercitato sulle unità di taglio consente alle unità di taglio di seguire più da vicino il profilo del terreno.

D: LEVE DI SOLLEVAMENTO (FAIRWAY 405)

La leva centrale solleva tutte e sette le unità di taglio, sequenzialmente da anteriore a posteriore per capacità di taglio incrociato.

La leva anteriore solleva l’unità di taglio numero sette ala sinistra individualmente.

La leva posteriore solleva l’unità di taglio numero sei ala destra individualmente.

A - AUSHUBHEBEL

Zum Ausheben der Schneideinheiten Hebel nach hinten ziehen und bis zum vollen Ausheben festhalten.Zum Absenken der Schneideinheiten Hebel nach vorn drücken und bis zum vollen Absenken festhalten. Nach dem Loslassen kehrt der Hebel automatisch in die Neutralstellung zurück.

B - SCHNEIDZYLINDERDREHZAHLVERSTELLUNG

Stufenlose Verstellung der Schneidzylinderdrehzahl, vom Stillstand bis zur Höchstdrehzahl (ca. 1300 U/ min).

C - AUFLAGENDRUCKVERSTELLUNG

Verändert die Gewichtsverteilung auf Schneideinheiten und Antriebsräder. Bei höhererm Auflagedruck der Schneideinheiten passen sie sich den Bodenunebenheiten besser an.

D - HUBHEBEL (FAIRWAY 405)

Mit dem mittleren Hebel werden alle sieben Kralleneinheiten angehoben, nacheinander von vorn nach hinten, für Kreuzschnitte. Mit dem vorderen Hebel wird individuell die Kralleneinheit Nummer sieben links angehoben. Mit dem hinteren Hebel wird individuell die Kralleneinheit Nummer sechs rechts angehoben.

Le tre posizioni disponibili predispongono il senso di rotazione del gruppo giralame: (a) in avanti per la tosatura, (b) indietro per l’affilatura con rotazione inversa e (c) la posizione neutra. Following is the procedure to use for a cold engine.

1. Ensure the cutting units are disengaged (see cutting unit switch in CONTROLS), the FWD/ RVS pedal and associated Neutral Latch control are not depressed and the throttle setting is in a mid position.

2. Turn the ignition switch all the way counterclockwise and hold until the glow plug light goes off (5-10 sec.)

3. Turn ignition key fully clockwise to the start position and operate the starter motor until the engine starts (should only take a few seconds)

4. When the engine starts, release the key immediately and it will return to the RUN position.

5. If the engine does not start, preheat the glow plugs and try again.

because of surrounding temperature or recent operation, step No.2 of the cold engine starting procedure may be skipped (no need to preheat glow plugs).

Osservare le istruzioni riportate qui di seguito per avviare il motore freddo.

1. Verificare che le unità di taglio siano inserite (vedi il paragrafo Interruttore di accensione nel capitolo COMANDI), che il pedale MARCIA AVANTI/RETROMARCIA e il relativo comando del dispositivo di bloccaggio non siano premuti e che la leva dell’acceleratore sia nella posizione centrale.

2. Ruotare l’interruttore di accensione completamente in senso antiorario e tenerlo in questa posizione fino allo spegnimento della spia delle candele ad incandescenza (5-10 sec.)

3. Ruotare l’interruttore di accensione completamente in senso orario fino alla posizione di avviamento ed azionare lo starter fino all’avviamento del motore (qualche secondo)

4. Dopo l’avviamento del motore, rilasciare immediatamente la chiave, che ritorna alla posizione RUN (MARCIA).

5. In caso di mancato avviamento del motore, riscaldare le candele ad incandescenza e riprovare ad avviare il motore.

ANLASSEN DES MOTORS

Verfahren bei kaltem Motor:

1. Schneidzylinderantrieb ausschalten (siehe Schalter Schneidzylinderantrieb im Abschnitt BEDIENELEMENTE), das Fahrpedal und die integrierte Leerlaufarretierung dürfen nicht betätigt sein, Gashebel in Mittelstellung bringen.

2. Schlüsselschalter bis zum Anschlag nach links drehen und festhalten, bis die Vorglühkontrolleuchte erlischt (5 - 10 sec.).

3. Durch Drehen des Schlüsselschalters nach rechts bis zum Anschlag Anlasser betätigen, bis der Motor anspringt (sollte nur wenige Sekunden dauern).

4. Nach dem Anspringen des Motors sofort den Schlüsselschalter loslassen, er kehrt automatisch in die Stellung EIN zurück.

5. Springt der Motor nicht an, erneut vorglühen und noch einmal versuchen.

HINWEIS:

l Warmer Motor - Ist der Motor durch vorherge-

hende Arbeit oder Außentemperatur warm, kann Schritt 2. (Vorglühen) entfallen.

l Springt der Motor nach 2 Versuchen nicht an (ggf.

mit Vorglühen), 20 Sekunden warten und erneut versuchen.

l Anlasser NIEMALS mehr als 30 Sekunden unun-

terbrochen betätigen, da er sonst beschädigt werden kann.

l Release brake - Make sure the parking brake is

released before attempting to go forward or reverse.

l Neutral Latch - For either forward or reverse

motion, the neutral latch located in the top plate of the FWD/RVS foot pedal must simultaneously be depressed.

l Forward - Gently depress the top plate of the

FWD/RVS foot pedal to reach desired ground speed.

l Reverse - Gently depress the bottom plate of

the FWD/RVS foot pedal to reach desired ground speed.

l To stop - Gently return the FWD/RVS foot

pedal to the neutral position.

NOTES:

l Use complete foot to operate both forward and

reverse.

l Make sure Neutral Latch remains pushed in. l Do not move pedal suddenly–always operate

slowly and smoothly. Never move pedal violently from forward to reverse or vice versa.

l Always keep foot firmly on the foot pedal–a too

relaxed foot control may result in a jerky motion.

MOWING

1. Lower the reels with the cutting unit lift control.

2. Engage the cutting mechanism by pushing on the lower half of cutting unit switch and operating the floor mounted switch.

3. Release the parking brake and begin driving forward.

NOTE: Always set the throttle on full for

mowing, even when the grass is heavy. When the engine is labouring, reduce forward speed by easing up on the FWD/RVS foot pedal.

TO STOP THE ENGINE

1. Disengage power to the cutting units with the

cutting unit switch.

2. Remove foot from the FWD/REV pedal.

3. Set the parking brake.

4. Move the throttle control lever to the SLOW

position.

5. Turn the ignition key to OFF.

IMPORTANT: The Fairway 405 turbocharged engine should be allowed to idle for five minutes before switching off.

ASSEMBLY OF CUTTING UNITS TO MACHINE

PREPARATIONS

l Unpack the cutting units and distribute them

around the tractor near the attachment points.

l For each cutting unit, lubricate the inside of the

housing where the hydraulic motor attaches.

l Locate the five, round couplers shipped loose

with the tractor.

ATTACHING THE CUTTING UNITS

1. Lubricate coupler C Fig.18 with non-tracking grease and insert it (either side of coupler) into the motor attachment housing A Fig.18. Press the coupler firmly on the reel tang at the rear. NOTE: Detents in the coupler allow it to be attached to the tang only one way.

2. Smear additional grease on the installed coupler until the cavity is about 1/2 full.

3. Line up the tang on the shaft of the hydraulic motor B Fig.18 so that it is approximately perpendicular to the reel tang (small adjustments are made by slightly rotating the reel). Adjust so that the motor seats snugly against the cutting unit flange and attach motor with studs D fig.18, nuts E Fig.18 and S.L.washers f Fig.18

4. Take the pivot shaft out of the tractor cutting unit arm by removing end bolt B Fig.19.

5. Remove retaining collar C Fig.19 from the pivot shaft.

6. Insert the pivot shaft into the yoke of the cutting unit and secure by replacing retaining collar C Fig.19.

7. Line up the pivot shaft with the tractor arm and re-insert. Secure shaft with bolt B Fig.19.

8. Attach chain A Fig.20 to cutting unit with pin. Secure with cotter.

After attaching all cutting units, perform adjustments and set cutting heights with reference to the separate operator's manual for the cutting units.

MONTAGGIO DELLE UNITÀ DI TAGLIO SUL TOSAERBA

INTERVENTI PRELIMINARI l Togliere le unità di taglio dalle rispettive

confezioni e sistemarle vicino ai punti di attacco sul tosaerba.

l Lubrificare l’interno della sede di ciascuna unità

di taglio, dove vengono fissati al motore idraulico.

l Individuare i cinque dispositivi di fissaggio

rotondi in dotazione con il trattorino.

MONTAGGIO DELLE UNITÀ DI TAGLIO

1. Lubrificare il dispositivo di fissaggio C Fig.18 con grasso antisbavatura ed inserirlo (uno qualsiasi dei due lati) nella sede di montaggio del motore A Fig.18. Premere a fondo il dispositivo di fissaggio sulla parte posteriore della linguetta del gruppo giralame. NOTA: I denti di arresto presenti nel dispositivo di fissaggio consentono di fissarlo alla linguetta soltanto in un verso.

2. Applicare dell’altro grasso sul dispositivo di fissaggio montato fino a quando la cavità è piena per metà circa.

3. Allineare la linguetta sull’albero del motore idraulico B Fig.18 fino a quando risulta perpendicolare alla linguetta del gruppo giralame (per effettuare piccole regolazioni, ruotare leggermente il gruppo giralame). Regolare in modo che il motore si appoggi alla flangia dell’unità di taglio e fissare il motore mediante i prigionieri D fig.18, i dadi E Fig.18 e le rondelle autobloccanti F Fig.18

4. Estrarre l’albero a snodo del braccio del trattorino asportando il prigioniero all’estremità B Fig.19.

5. Togliere la ghiera di fissaggio C Fig.19 dall’albero a snodo.

6. Inserire l’albero di fissaggio nella forcella dell’unità di taglio e fissarlo sostituendo la ghiera di fissaggio C Fig.19.

7. Allineare l’albero a snodo con il braccio del trattorino ed inserirlo di nuovo. Fissare l’albero con il bullone B Fig.19.

8. Fissare la catena A Fig.20 all’unità di taglio con il perno. Fissare il perno con la copiglia.

Una volta fissate tutte le unità di taglio, effettuare le regolazioni necessarie e predisporre l’altezza di taglio; le istruzioni in merito sono riportate nel manuale d’uso in dotazione con le unità di taglio.

ANBAU DER SCHNEIDEINHEITEN

1. Kupplungsstück mit einer beliebigen Seite in das Motorbefestigungsgehäuse mit wasserabweisendem Fett einsetzen und fest bis nach hinten auf die Verzahnung der Schneidzylinderwelle schieben. HINWEIS: die Verzahnung paßt nur in einer Stellung.

2. Innenteil des montierten Kupplungsstückes zur Hälfte mit Fett füllen.

3. Verzahnung der Antriebswelle des Hydraulikmotors ungefähr senkrecht zur Verzahnung der Schneidzylinderwelle ausrichten (kleine Korrekturen werden durch Verdrehen des Schneidzylinders vorgenommen). Schneidzylinder so verdrehen, daß der Hydraulikmotor eingeschoben werden kann und an der Gehäuseoberfläche anliegt, Hydraulikmotor mit Schrauben befestigen.

4. Schraube B entfernen und Hubarmbolzen vom Hubarm der Grundmaschine abnehmen.

5. Haltering C vom Hubarmbolzen entfernen.

6. Hubarmbolzen in die Aufnahme der Schneideinheit schieben und mit Haltering C sichern.

7. Hubarmbolzen mit Hubarm ausrichten und hineinschieben. Hubarmbolzen mit Schraube C sichern.

8. Kette an der Schneideinheit mit Bolzen befestigen. Bolzen mit Splint sichern.

Nach dem Anbau aller Schneideinheiten alle Einstellungen einschließlich Schnitthöhe gemäß Beschreibung in der seperaten Bedienungsanleitung der Schneideinheiten durchführen.

l Engine oil level is indicated on dipstick B

(should be between the two marks).

l Before using the machine for the first time,

check the oil level in the engine crankcase. Top-up through A if necessary.

l When checking oil level, make sure the ma-

chine is on level ground.

l After adding or changing oil, wait one minute

before checking level with dipstick.

Changing oil

l Warm up the engine first and then shut it off. l Remove oil drain plug from the bottom of the

crankcase and wipe it off.

l Replace the drain plug and fill engine with oil

(see the Fluid Requirements chart for amount and type).

l Also, see the engine manufacturer's manual for

more information.

Oil filter (Fig.22)

l Single-unit cartridge that is replaced intact. l Apply thin coat of oil to cartridge gasket before

installing.

l Il livello dell’olio del motore è indicato sull’asta

di livello B (deve essere compreso fra le due tacche).

l Prima di usare il tosaerba per la prima volta,

verificare il livello dell’olio nella coppa del motore. Rabboccare eventualmente attraverso il punto A.

l Durante la verifica del livello dell’olio, verificare

che il tosaerba sia sistemato in piano.

l Dopo il rabbocco o il cambio dell’olio, attendere

un minuto prima di verificare di nuovo il livello dell’olio.

l Motorölmeßstab D herausziehen. Der Ölstand muß

sich zwischen den Markierungen befinden.

l Vor der ersten Benutzung Motorölstand prüfen und

ggf. bis F auffüllen.

l Die Maschine muß zur Ölstandsprüfung auf ebe-

nem Untergrund stehen.

l Nach dem Nachfüllen oder Ölwechsel vor der

Ölstandsprüfung mit dem Meßstab eine Minute warten.

Motoröl wechseln

l Motor warmlaufen lassen und abstellen. l Ölablaßschraube P herausdrehen und alles Öl aus

der Ölwanne ablaufen lassen.

l Ablaßschraube reinigen, wieder hineindrehen und

Motoröl aufüllen (Füllmengen und Öltyp siehe auch Tabelle Seite 39.

l Weitere Einzelheiten siehe Motorbetriebsanleitung.

Motorölfilter

l Der Ölfilter ist eine Einwegpatrone. l Dichtfläche an der Filterpatrone leicht einölen und

am Kurbelgehäuse anschrauben, nur leicht von Hand festziehen.

COOLING SYSTEM

l Provide uninterrupted air flow to the cooling

system to avoid engine overheating, especially when operating under dirty conditions. Keep hood screen H, radiator compartment and radiator screen S clean and clear.

l Rear access to the radiator compartment is

available by flipping latches L and dropping the rear cover. Top access is available by lifting the hinged hood.

l Check in front of radiator by lifting the hood,

removing knob K and pivoting radiator back.

l If compressed air or water are used to clean

radiator or screen, do not use high pressure.

l Check the level of radiator coolant in overflow

bottle. Top-up with a 50% antifreeze solution when needed.

l Keep the radiator filled with a 50% antifreeze

solution.

l To drain radiator, open petcock on radiator

bottom. Close petcock and fill from top of radiator with 50% antifreeze solution.

Leggere attentamente le istruzioni di antinfortunistica

IMPIANTO DI RAFFREDDAMENTO

l Garantire il costante flusso d’olio all’impianto di

raffreddamento, onde evitare il surriscaldamento del motore, in particolare durante l’uso del tosaerba in presenza di terreno fangoso. Tenere pulita la protezione del coprimotore H, il vano del radiatore e la protezione del radiatore S.

l L’accesso posteriore al vano del radiatore è

possibile sganciando i ganci L e abbassando il coperchio posteriore. L’accesso superiore è possibile sollevando il coprimotore incernierato.

l Controllare il frontale del radiatore sollevando il

coprimotore, togliendo la manopola K e orientando il radiatore all’indietro.

l Qualora si utilizzi aria od acqua per pulire il

radiatore o la protezione, non erogare ad alte pressioni.

l Verificare il livello del liquido refrigerante del

radiatore nella vaschetta del troppopieno. All’occorrenza, rabboccare con una soluzione contenente il 50% di antigelo.

l Sincerarsi che il radiatore sia sempre pieno per

metà di soluzione al 50% di antigelo.

l Per svuotare il radiatore, aprire il rubinetto di

spurgo situato sul fondo del radiatore. Chiudere il rubinetto di spurgo ed introdurre una soluzione contenente il 50% di antigelo dalla parte superiore del radiatore.

KÜHLSYSTEM

l Um Motorüberhitzung, besonders bei Arbeiten mit

starkem Staub- und Schmutzanfall, zu vermeiden, sorgen Sie für einen ungehinderten Kühlluftstrom zum Kühlsystem. Halten Sie daher das Sieb H in der Motorhaube, den Kühlerschacht und das Kühlersieb S sauber.

l Der Kühlerschacht ist von hinten nach Lösen der

Haubenhalter L und Abklappen der hinteren Abdeckung zugänglich. Zugang von oben durch Anheben der Motorhaube.

l Zur Prüfung der Vorderseite des Kühlers Motor-

haube anheben, Knopf K entfernen und Kühler nach hinten kippen.

l Bei der Reinigung des Kühlers oder der Siebe mit

Luft oder Wasser keine Hochdruckanlagen verwenden.

l Flüssigkeitsstand im Ausgleichsbehälter B prüfen

und ggf. mit 50 %iger Frostschutzmischung auffüllen.

l Kühler mit einer 50 %igen Frostschutzmischung

gefüllt halten.

l Zum Ablassen der Kühlflüssigkeit Ablaßhahn un-

ten am Kühler öffnen. Ablaßhahn schließen und Kühler von oben mit 50 %iger Frostschutzmischung füllen.

5. Stop engine and check reservoir

6. Start engine and idle for 5 minutes to remove air from hydraulic system.

l Verificare il livello dell’olio idraulico attraverso il

tubicino spia di plastica. Mantenere il livello dell’olio a circa metà del tubicino spia S Fig.25.

l Togliere il tappo per scaricare l’olio idraulico. l Introdurre l’olio attraverso uno dei tappi di

ottone B Fig.25 posti in cima al serbatoio.

l Il filtro dell’olio per l’impianto idraulico è a

cartuccia. All’occorrenza, sostituire l’intero filtro.

1. Durante la sostituzione dell’elemento filtrante, introdurre nel filtro dell’olio idraulico pulito.

2. Avviare il motore e lasciarlo girare a vuoto per 15 secondi.

3. Fermare il motore e verificare il livello del serbatoio.

4. Avviare il motore e lasciarlo girare a vuoto per altri 15 secondi.

5. Fermare il motore e verificare il livello del serbatoio.

6. Avviare il motore e lasciarlo girare per 5 minuti a vuoto per eliminare l’aria dall’impianto idraulico.

7. Verificare di nuovo il livello del serbatoio.

HYDRAULIKANLAGE

l Hydraulikölstand im durchsichtigen Plastikschlauch

2. Motor 15 Sek. im Leerlauf laufen lassen.

3. Motor abstellen und Hydraulikölstand prüfen.

4. Motor weitere 15 Sek. im Leerlauf laufen lassen.

5. Motor abstellen und Hydraulikölstand prüfen.

6. Motor 5 Min. im Leerlauf laufen lassen, um die Hydraulikanlage zu entlüften.

Bleeding air from fuel system

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (don't start engine).

2. Open air vent R on side of injection pump to allow air to escape.

3. Retighten air vent.

4. Turn ignition to OFF.

Water Seperator - If water is not removed from the fuel, extensive damage can be done to the fuel injection system.

1. Bleed all air from fuel system.

2. With engine off, open vent T at top of water seperator.

3. Open drain valve B at bottom ofwater seperator to allow any water to drain out.

4. If water is present, it will drain first. When fuel emerges from the valve, close the valve. Close the vent.

NOTE: Failure to drain water reduces fuel filter efficiency.

AIR SUPPLY TO ENGINE

l Keep tractor hood screens clean and clear.

Changing air filter

l Remove the side grill l Remove end cap of air filter cartridge. Remove

accumulated dust or dirt.

l Remove filter element F (pull straight out firmly) l Install new filter element (press firmly against

rear shoulder)

l Replace end cap and fasten with clips (arrow on

dust bowl of cap point upwards).

l Replace the side grill NOTE: Extensive damage to engine can result

from an inadequate air supply.

1. Ruotare l’interruttore di accensione su ON (senza avviare il motore).

2. Aprire lo sfiatatoio dell’aria R posto sul fianco della pompa di iniezione per eliminare tutta l’aria.

3. Richiudere lo sfiatatoio.

4. Ruotare l’interruttore di accensione su OFF.

Separatore dell’acqua: La mancata rimozione dell’acqua dal carburante può provocare gravi danni all’impianto di iniezione.

1. Eliminare tutta l’aria dall’impianto di alimentazione.

2. A motore spento, aprire lo sfiatatoio T posto sopra il separatore dell’acqua.

3. Aprire il rubinetto di scarico B posto sul fondo del separatore dell’acqua per eliminare tutta l’acqua eventualmente presente.

4. L’eventuale acqua presente viene scaricata per prima. Quando fuoriesce il carburante dal rubinetto, chiudere il rubinetto. Chiudere lo sfiatatoio.

NOTA: La mancata eliminazione dell’acqua riduce l’efficienza del filtro del carburante.

ALIMENTAZIONE D’ARIA AL MOTORE l Tenere pulite le protezioni del coprimotore del

trattorino.

Sostituzione del filtro dell’aria

l Rimuovere la griglia laterale l Togliere il cappuccio del filtro dell’aria a

cartuccia. Eliminare la polvere o lo sporco accumulato.

l Togliere l’elemento filtrante F (estrarlo

sollevandolo con decisione)

l Montare il nuovo elemento filtrante (premere

con decisione contro lo spallamento posteriore)

l Rimettere il cappuccio e fissarlo con le mollette

(la freccia sulla vaschetta raccoglipolvere del cappuccio è rivolta verso l’alto).

l Rimettere a posto la griglia laterale NOTA: L’insufficiente alimentazione dell’aria può

provocare gravi danni al motore.

Entlüften der Kraftstoffanlage

1. Schlüsselschalter auf EIN stellen (Motor nicht anlassen).

2. Entlüftungsventil R seitlich an der Einspritzpumpe öffnen und Luft entweichen lassen.

3. Entlüftungsventil schließen.

4. Schlüsselschalter auf AUS drehen.

Wasserabscheider - wird aus dem Krafftstoff das Wasser nicht entfernt, können schwere Schäden an der Einspritzanlage entstehen.

1. Kraftstoffanlage komplett entlüften.

2. Bei abgestelltem Motor Belüftungsventil T oben auf dem Wasserabscheider öffnen.

3. Ablaßventil B unter dem Wasserabscheider öffnen und Wasser ablaufen lassen.

4. Ist Wasser vorhanden, so läuft es zuerst heraus. Tritt Kraftstoff aus dem Ablaßventil heraus, Ventil schließen. Belüftungsventil schließen.

HINWEIS: Wird das Wasser nicht abgelassen, verringert sich die Wirksamkeit des Kraftstoffilters.

LUFTZUFUHR ZUM MOTOR

l Siebe in der Motorhaube sauberhalten.

Luftfilterwechsel

l Seitengitter abnehmen. l Endkappe E des Luftfilters abnehmen. Angesam-

melten Staub und Schmutz entfernen.

l Filterelement F gerade herausziehen. l Neues Filterelement einsetzen (fest bis vor die

Rückwand drücken).

l Endkappe wieder aufsetzen und mit Halteklam-

mern befestigen (der Pfeil auf der Endkappe muß nach unten zeigen).

l Seitengitter wieder anbringen. HINWEIS: Unzureichende Luftzuführung kann zu vorzeitigem Motorverschleiß führen.

With drive wheels off the ground and no pressure on the FWD/REV foot pedal, start the engine and check to see if the wheels turn. If they do, proceed to adjust. If not, skip this adjustment.

The seat can be adjusted for operators weight and leg reach to provide a comfortable position for operating the machine.

1. ADJUSTMENT FOR OPERATOR WEIGHT The seat is adjustable for operator weights between 50Kgs (110lbs) and 130Kgs (285lbs).

To Adjust: The position of the adjusting lever and weight gauge is on the front of the seat(A Fig.40), in the centre below the bellows. By rotating the lever clockwise the weight capacity is increased and by rotating the lever anticlockwise the weight capacity is decreased.

2. HEIGHT OF SEAT CUSHION ADJUSTMENT The seat has three height positions.

To Adjust: While sitting on the seat grip both sides of the seat cushion, by raising your weight off the cushion and pulling the cushion upwards at the same time the cushion will locate in the next highest position. By carrying out the same procedure on the highest position the seat cushion will return to its lowest position.

3. FORE AND AFT ADJUSTMENT To Adjust:

The position of the adjusting lever is on the right hand side of the seat below the seat cushion (B Fig.40). By pulling the lever away from the seat, the seat can be slid backwards and forwards, when in the desired position release the lever to locate in one of the pre set positions.

4. BACK REST ADJUSTMENT To Adjust:

The position of the release lever is on the left hand side of the seat (A Fig.41). While sitting on the seat pull the release lever upwards to release the back rest.( The back rest is spring loaded to fold onto the seat cushion.) Lean back to obtain the desired position for the back rest and release the lever to locate in one of the pre set positions.

NOTE:The seat is fitted with a microswitch to sense operator presence.

È possibile regolare il sedile in funzione del peso e della lunghezza delle gambe dell’operatore, allo scopo di garantire il massimo comfort.

1. REGOLAZIONE IN FUNZIONE DEL PESO DELL’OPERATORE È possibile regolare il sedile per pesi compresi fra 50 Kg e 130 Kg.

Procedura di regolazione: La leva di regolazione e l’indicatore del peso si trovano sul frontale del sedile (A Fig.40), nella parte centrale sotto i soffietti. Ruotare la leva di senso orario per aumentare la capacità del peso, ruotarla in senso antiorario per diminuirla.

2. REGOLAZIONE DELL’ALTEZZA DEL CUSCINO DEL SEDILE Il sedile può essere regolato in tre posizioni.

Procedura di regolazione: Da seduto nel sedile, afferrare entrambi i lati del cuscino del sedile, togliere il proprio peso dal cuscino e tirare contemporaneamente il cuscino verso l’alto per bloccarlo nella posizione più alta successiva. Se si effettua la medesima procedura nella posizione più alta, il cuscino del sedile ritorna alla posizione più bassa.

3. SPOSTAMENTO AVANTI E INDIETRO Procedura di regolazione:

La posizione della leva di regolazione si trova sul lato destro del sedile, sotto il cuscino (B Fig.40). Allontanando la leva dal sedile, è possibile spostare il sedile avanti e indietro; una volta trovata la posizione desiderata, rilasciare la leva per bloccarla in una delle posizioni predefinite.

4. REGOLAZIONE DELLO SCHIENALE Procedura di regolazione:

La leva di regolazione si trova sul lato sinistro del sedile (A Fig.41). Da seduto nel sedile, tirare la leva verso l’alto per sbloccare lo schienale. (Lo schienale contiene una molla, che ne consente il ripiegamento sul cuscino). Appoggiare la schiena sullo schienale per ottenere la posizione di appoggio ottimale e rilasciare la leva per bloccarla in una delle due posizioni predefinite.

NOTA: il sedile è dotato di un microinterruttore destinato a rivelare la presenza dell’operatore.

Girando la palanca hacia la derecha se incrementa la capacidad de peso y a la izquierda disminuye.

2. AJUSTE DE LA ALTURA DEL COJIN DEL

ASIENTO El asiento tiene tres posiciones de altura. Para ajustar: Sentado en el asiento agarrar ambos lados del cojín e incorporándose ligeramente y tirando del cojín hacia adelante al mismo tiempo el cojín se colocará la siguiente posición más alta. Efectuando la misma operación en la posición más alta el cojín regresará a la posición más baja.

3. AJUSTE PARA DELANTE Y PARA ATRAS

Para ajustar: La palanca de ajuste está en la parte derecha del asiento, debajo del cojín (B, ilustración 40). Tirando de la palanca hacia afuera, se puede avanzar o retroceder el asiento. Cuando se llegue a la posición deseada, soltar la palanca para posicionarla en una de las posiciones prefijadas.

4. AJUSTE DEL SOPORTE TRASERO

Para ajustarlo: La palanca de ajuste está en la parte izquierda del cojín del asiento (A, ilustración 41). Sentado en el asiento tírese de la palanca de liberación hacia arriba para soltar el soporte. (El soporte trasero se acciona por resorte para que se repliegue sobre el cojín del asiento. Recuéstese hasta obtener la posición en la que desee que se fije el soporte trasero y soltar la palanca para que se ajuste en una de las posiciones prefijadas.

NOTA: El asiento viene equipado con un microinterruptor para sentir la presencia del operador.

Routine reel lapping is part of a general maintenance plan for reel mowers.

All five reels will rotate at the same time when the engine is running and reel PTO is engaged.

NOTE: Even when the engine is OFF, rotating

one reel will cause the others to rotate.

Use the following procedure with the engine off and the reels disengaged.

1. Wash the reels and bedknives.

2. Slightly back off the reel to bedknife adjustment.

3. Apply lapping compound to the reels BEFORE starting the engine and engaging the reels.

NOTE: DO NOT apply lapping compound to reels

UNLESS the engine is off and the reels disengaged. DO NOT apply lapping compound to rotating reels.

4. Lower the cutting units so they are firmly on the ground, apply the parking brake, place the reel control lever (located under the seat) in the backlap position. With the operator in the operating position, start the engine. DO NOT run the engine in an enclosed area.

5. Run the engine at slightly higher than idle speed. Adjust the reel control knob anticlockwise to slow the reels to approximately 200rpm. Engage the reel drive from the operators position on the machine.

6. Backlap reels for several minutes, periodically disengage reel drive, shut off engine and check the blade condition. Add additional backlapping compound and adjust reel to bedknife clearance. Return to the operating position and continue backlapping until all blades are uniformly sharp.

7. Disengage reel drive, shut off engine and thoroughly wash all backlapping compound from reels and bedknives. Apply a thin coating of oil to all sharpened surfaces.

8. For a finer cut, file across the front face of the bedknife to remove any burrs from the sharp edge.

9. Adjust the reel to bedknife (see cutting unit manual).

AFFILATURA CON ROTAZIONE INVERSA

L’affilatura con rotazione inversa ordinaria fa parte del programma di manutenzione ordinaria previsto per i tosaerba dotati di gruppi giralame.

Tutti i cinque gruppi giralame ruotano contemporaneamente quando il motore gira e la PDF è inserita.

NOTA: Quando a motore SPENTO, la rotazione di un gruppo giralame provoca la rotazione degli altri gruppi giralame.

Eseguire la seguente procedura a motore spento e gruppi giralame disinseriti.

1. Lavare i gruppi giralame e le lame inferiori.

2. Allontanare leggermente il cilindro dalla lama inferiore.

3. Applicare ai gruppi giralame un prodotto di affilatura PRIMA di avviare il motore ed inserire i gruppi giralame.

NOTA: Applicare il prodotto di affilatura ai gruppi giralame SOLTANTO se il motore è spento e i gruppi giralame sono disinseriti. NON applicare il prodotto di affilatura a gruppi giralame rotanti.

4. Abbassare le unità di taglio in modo che siano ben a contatto con il terreno, inserire il freno di stazionamento, portare la leva di comando dei gruppi giralame (situata sotto il sedile) nella posizione di affilatura con rotazione inversa. Con l’operatore nella posizione di uso del tosaerba, avviare il motore. NON accendere il motore in un locale chiuso.

5. Far girare il motore ad un regime leggermente superiore al minimo. Regolare la leva di comando dei gruppi giralame su 200 giri/min in senso antiorario per rallentare la rotazione dei gruppi giralame a circa 200 giri/min. Azionare i gruppi giralame con operatore seduto nel tosaerba.

6. Far ruotare i gruppi giralame per diversi minuti, disinserire periodicamente la presa di moto dei gruppi giralame, spegnere il motore e verificare la condizione delle lame. Aggiungere dell’altro prodotto di affilatura con rotazione inversa ed inserire la modalità di affilatura del gruppo giralame.

7. Disinserire la presa di moto dei gruppi giralame, spegnere il motore e lavare via bene tutto il prodotto di affilatura dai gruppi giralame e dalle lame inferiori. Lubrificare con un leggero strato d’olio tutte le superfici affilate.

8. Per ottenere un taglio più preciso, limare la parte anteriore della lama inferiore per liminare eventuali sbavature dalle superfici affilate.

Bei laufendem Motor und eingeschaltetem Schneidzylinderantrieb drehen alle fünf Schneidzylinder gleichzeitig.

HINWEIS: Auch bei abgestelltem Motor drehen bei

Bewegung eines Schneidzlinders alle anderen mit.

1. Schneidzylinder und Untermesser waschen.

2. Untermessereinstellung etwas lösen.

3. VOR dem Anlassen des Motors Läppaste auf die Schneidzylindermesser auftragen.

HINWEIS: Läppaste NUR bei ABGESTELLTEM Mo-

tor und ausgeschaltetem Schneidzylinderantrieb aufbringen. KEINE Läppaste auf drehende Schneidzylinder auftragen.

4. Schneideinheiten vollständig auf den Boden absenken, Feststellbremse anziehen und Schneidzylinderantriebshebel (unter dem Sitz) auf Läppen stellen. Auf den Fahrersitz setzen und Motor anlassen. Motor NICHT in geschlossenen Räumen laufen lassen.

5. Motor mit leicht erhöhter Leerlaufdrehzahl laufen lassen. Schneidzylinderdrehzahl durch Drehen des Verstellknopfes auf ca. 200 U/min absenken. Schneidzylinderantrieb auf dem Fahrersitz sitzend einschalten.

6. Schneidzylinder einige Minuten rückwärts laufen lassen, regelmäßig Schneidzylinderantrieb ausschalten, Motor abstellen und Schneidzylindermesser prüfen. Weitere Läppaste auftragen und Untermesser nachstellen. Wieder auf dem Fahrersitz sitzend Einläppen fortsetzen, bis alle Messer gleichmäßig scharf sind.

7. Schneidzylinderantrieb abschalten, Motor abstellen und Läppaste gründlich von Schneidzylindern und Untermessern abwaschen. Alle geschärften Flächen leicht einölen.

8. Für eine bessere Schnittqualität mit einer Feile die scharfen Kanten der Schneidzylindermesser entgraten.

9. Untermesser Einstellen (siehe Bedienungsanleitung der Schneideinheiten).

GUARANTEE

We GUARANTEE that should any defect in workmanship or material occur in the goods within TWELVE MONTHS or to a maximum of one thousand hours from the date of purchase we will repair, or at our option, replace the defective part without making any charge for labour or for materials, provided that the claim under this guarantee is made through an authorised Ransomes' Dealer and that the defective part shall, if we so request, be returned to us or to the Dealer. This guarantee is in addition to, and does not exclude, any condition or warranty implied by law, except that we accept no liability in respect of second-hand goods, or in respect of defects which in our opinion are in any way or to any extent attributable to misuse, lack of reasonable care or ordinary wear and tear, or to the fitting of spares, replacements, or extra components which are not supplied or approved by us for the purpose. The use of nonrecommended oil or lubricant nullifies the guarantee. Damage through transport or normal wear does not come under the guarantee.

SALES & SERVICE

A network of authorised Sales and Service dealers has been established and these details are available from your supplier. When service attention, or spares, are required for the machine, within or after the guarantee period your supplier or any authorised dealer should be contacted. Always quote the registered number of the machine. If any damage is apparent when delivery is made, report the details at once to the supplier of the machine.

Questa garanzia è in aggiunta a, e non esclude, qualsiasi condizione o garanzia implicita a termine di legge, eccetto che non accettiamo responsabilità alcuna nei confronti di merce di seconda mano, o di difetti che a nostro parere siano in qualsiasi modo ed in qualsiasi misura dovuti a cattivo uso, mancanza di attenzione ragionevole o usura normale di servizio, o all’installazione di parti di ricambio e in sostituzione, o componenti aggiuntivi, che non siano stati forniti o approvati da noi a tale scopo. L’uso di olio o di lubrificanti non raccomandati annulla questa garanzia. Danni derivanti dal trasporto o l’usura normale non sono coperti da questa garanzia.

VENDITE ED ASSISTENZA

È stata stabilita una rete di Concessionari Autorizzati per la Vendita e l’Assistenza, e questi particolari sono ottenibile dal Vostro fornitore. Quando si richiedano il servizio di assistenza o parti di ricambio per la macchina, sia entro il periodo di garanzia che al di fuori di esso, occorre contattare il proprio fornitore od un qualsiasi Concessionario Autorizzato. Citare sempre il numero di matricola della macchina . Se si rende evidente un qualsiasi danno al momento della consegna, fare subito un rapporto dei particolari relativi al fornitore della macchina.

Hiermit GARANTIEREN wir, daß wir im Falle eines innerhalb der ersten ZWÖLF MONATE nach Verkaufsdatum festgestellten Arbeits- oder Materialfehlers an unseren Produkten nach unserem Ermessen entweder die entstehenden Reparaturarbeiten durchführen oder das mangelhafte Teil ersetzen werden. Dem Kunden entstehen dabei weder für die Arbeitsleistung noch für Materialien oder eventuelle Transporte innerhalb des Vereinigten Königreichs irgendwelche Kosten, vorausgesetzt, daß die Garantieforderung über einen befugten Ransome-Vertragshändler eingeleitet wird und daß das defekte Teil auf Verlangen an uns oder unseren Händler zurückgegeben wird. Diese Garantie gilt neben den für im Vereinigten Königreich verkaufte Produkte geltenden gesetzlichen Garantiebestimmungen. Ausgenommen sind Waren aus zweiter Hand oder Defekte, die unserer Meinung nach - in welchem Ausmaß und auf welche Art und Weise auch immer - auf unsachgemäßen Gebrauch, unzureichende Pflege und Wartung oder normale Abnutzungserscheinungen bzw. auf den Einbau von Ersatz-, Neu- oder Zusatzteilen, die weder von uns hergestellt noch für den jeweiligen Zweck empfohlen werden, zurückzuführen sind. Bei Verwendung eines nicht von uns empfohlenen Öls oder Schmiermittels verfällt diese Garantie. Transportschäden oder normale Abnutzungserscheinungen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Garantie.

Sind während oder nach der Garantiezeit Wartungsarbeiten oder Ersatzteile erforderlich, setzen Sie sich bitte mit Ihrem Zulieferer oder einem befugten Händler in Verbindung. Geben Sie bitte immer die Registriernummer Ihrer Maschine an. Schäden, die nach der Lieferung festgestellt werden, sind dem Zulieferer der Maschine umgehend mitzuteilen.
