The factory location for the installation of the loudspeakers is provided and partly wired in the
dashboard and in the rear.

Our products are only suitable for users with the necessary professional installation
knowledge. The relevant safety regulations for bearing car body parts, instructions on the
vehicle safety inside, as well as the regulations of the competent vehicle manufacturer are
necessary to be observed.
Attention: Important operational notice, please take in consideration before installation.
• The loudspeakers should only be operated with the indicated rated power.
• The mix up of the connections woofer/tweeter will lead to the immediate distortion of
the tweeter.
• The operation without crossover or with an active crossover would result in a
damage of the loudspeakers.
• Make sure that the same polarity in loudspeakers, crossover and amplifier is
guaranteed. If the speakers were wired out of phase, an unnatural sound without bass
would be the result.
Operation- and installation tips
Car specific Rainbow systems are high-quality Car-hifi-systems, which can be operated with
any commercially available amplifier. For convenient produce of the optimal sound
reproduction in the vehicle, we recommend the use of a power amplifier of at least 30 watt.
The excellent efficiency of the Rainbow-loudspeakers enables an enormous volume range,
which is already achieved with only small power levels.
The car specific tuning, as well as the use of selected components in the crossovers is guiding
equipment details of our systems. Thermal protection in the high pitch range is just as natural
as the principle connection with 12 dB-Roll-Off in each legging.
Car specific systems with complete installation material are natural Rainbow standards.
Measures for the acoustic optimise are e.g. the lining of the woofer-volume with insulting
material and the sound deadening of the door panels with sound deadening material on the
inside door panels.
Dashboard installation for VW Golf II and Seat Toledo (KX-87)
• Remove the loudspeaker covering.
• Provide the loudspeakers with the included holding springs (3 pieces) and press them
in, in order that the bottom spring part will attach to the magnet ring.
• Plug on the loudspeaker cable adapter, pay attention for the correct polarity!
• Put the loudspeakers from the top into the installation shaft and twist them in order
that the connections of the loudspeaker do not attach to the car body (short cut
danger!).
• Press the loudspeaker to the bottom until the spring clamps will snap in.
• Put on the loudspeaker covering again.

Side frame installation (KX 9x15)
• Plug the loudspeaker from below or from above onto the provided plastic holding
bolts and fix carefully with the included nuts and a box spanner SW 10.
Attention: Don’t overwind the nut. The holding bolt will break off.
• Link the loudspeaker to the loudspeaker cable adapter, pay attention for the correct
polarity!
Attention: Risk of damage. The loudspeaker cone can be damaged on the plastic bolts due to
careless installation.
