please note the following information about the compatibility of USB Type-C®
hubs and adapters, including this device!

• Your host computer must have a USB Type C™ interface.

• The IB-1816M-C31 also works with computers and notebooks with
USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 Type-A interfaces as long as the appropriate
adapter is available.

• The enclosure also works on devices with a Thunderbolt™ 3 interface
with the transfer rate of 10 Gbit/s specified by USB 3.1 (Gen2).

• The Type-C® interface can be connected with USB 3.0 or 2.0 standard
in some notebooks and computers. The enclosure only supplies the full
transfer rate of 10 Gbit/s to USB 3.1 (Gen2) Type-C® interfaces.

Hubs und Adaptern, inklusive dieses Gerätes, zur Kenntnis!

• Ihr Hostcomputer muss über eine USB Type-C® Schnittstelle verfügen.

• Das IB-1816M-C31 arbeitet auch mit Notebooks und PCs mit USB

1. Installation

Important: During the drive assembly all cabling has to be disconnected from
the computer.
Wichtig: Während der Installation des Laufwerks darf das Gehäuse nicht am
Computer angeschlossen sein.

1: Open the bottom cover by removing the screws and carefully remove the
PCB.
1: Öffnen Sie die vordere Abdeckung, indem Sie die Schrauben entfernen
und entnehmen vorsichtig die Platine.

2. Insert your SSD carefully with the connection side into the M.2 socket at an

angle of about 30° so it fits in smoothly. Then push the SSD card down.

2. Platzieren Sie Ihre SSD vorsichtig mit der Anschlussseite und in einem Win-

kel von ca. 30° in die M.2-Buchse, sodass sie sich widerstandslos einfügt.
Drücken Sie die SSD dann vorsichtig nach unten.

3. Fix the SSD to the PCB with the supplied screw.

3: Befestigen Sie die SSD mithilfe der mitgelieferten Schraube am PCB.

4. Carefully insert the PCB with the SSD into the housing and reattach the front

cover.

4. Schieben Sie die Platine mitsamt der SSD vorsichtig in das Gehäuse und

befestigen die vordere Abdeckung wieder.

5.Optionally, you could use the supplied plastic covers over the screws holes.

2. Usage / Verwendung

1. Plug the IB-1816M-C31 into the Type-C® port of your host computer.

3.1 The external SSD can be connected to or disconnected from the computer

without shutting down the computer.

SSD to avoid data loss.

check:
