Nehmen Sie bitte folgende Informationen zur Kompatibilität von USB Type-C™
DockingStationen und Adaptern, inklusive diesem Gerät, zur Kenntnis!

ACHTUNG

• Ihr Host PC muss über eine USB Type-C™ Schnittstelle verfügen.

• Folgende Betriebssysteme werden grundsätzlich unterstützt:
Windows 10, 8.1, macOS® X Yosemite (10.10) oder höher, oder Chrome OS.

• Für eine einwandfreie Videoausgabe muss Ihr USB Type-C™ PC oder Tablet
DisplayPort Alt Mode über USB Type-C™ unterstützen.

• Die IB-DK2403-C bietet keine Dual Videoausgabe im erweiterten Modus bzw.
MST (Multi Stream Transport Protokoll) Unterstützung für macOS
(z.B. Macbook Pro) oder Chrome basierte Geräte.

• Die Dual Videoausgabe im erweiterten Modus wird nur für Windows 10
und 8.1 basierte Geräte unterstützt.

• Damit diese DockingStation Ihren angeschlossenen Host PC aufladen kann,
muss dieser zwingend Power Delivery 2.0 (PD) unterstützen, sprich nicht alle
USB Type-C

• Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass alle Grafiktreiber Ihres USB Type-C
(in der Regel von Intel oder AMD) auf dem neusten Stand sind.
Viele Videoprobleme, wie z.B. flackern oder Unschärfe, lassen sich oft durch
Treiber oder Systemaktualisierungen beheben.

Please be informed about common issues regarding USB Type-C ™ docking stations
and adapters, including this device!

IMPORTANT

• Your host PC must have a USB Type-C™ port.

• Your device must be running Windows 10, 8.1, macOS® X Yosemite (10.10)
or later, or Chrome OS.

• For video output, your USB Type-C™ laptop or tablet must support DisplayPort
Alt Mode over USB Type-C™.

• The IB-DK2403-C does not support dual video display in extended mode
over MST (Multi Stream Transport protocol) supported Mac devices
(e.g. Macbook Pro) as well as Chrome devices.

• Dual video display in extended mode is supported for Windows 10 and 8.1
devices only.

• In order for this docking station to charge, your USB Type-C™ devices must be
designed to support Power Delivery 2.0 (PD). Please note that not all USB
Type-C™ devices support PD 2.0.

• Ensure the graphics driver (typically from Intel or AMD) on your USB Type-C™
device is up to date.

• Many video problems, such as flickering or fuzziness, running a system update
on your device is usually the easiest solution.

• The USB Type-C™ cable can be plugged into a Thunderbolt™ 3 port on your
device. Please note that while the USB Type-C™ cable is compatible with the
Thunderbolt™ 3 port, it will not reach the full Thunderbolt™ 3 transfer rate.

Type-C™ Docking Station with PowerDelivery (PD)

The USB Type-C™ Multi-Docking-Station is designed for extra connectivity
demands. With this docking station you can extend an USB Type-C™ host interface
and DP-ALT-Mode supported computer to more displays and USB peripherals,
Ethernet network, SD cards, speaker and microphone through one USB Type-C™
cable. Adopting PD charging technology, upstream charging function through USB
Type-C™ interface, you can charge the connected laptop at once.

USB Type-C™

Not all USB Type-C™ ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C™
standard. Some ports might only provide data transfers, and might not support video
or power delivery over USB.
To use this dock to its full potential, ensure that the host USB Type-C™ port from your
computer supports DP alt mode, as well as USB Power Delivery or Thunderbolt 3™.
The two USB Type-C™ ports on the docking station are traditional USB 3.0
downstream data ports. These ports do not support DP alt mode (video), or USB
Power Delivery.

Install and use the docking station

The dock will automatically install some of the required drivers once it is connected to
your laptop’s USB Type-C™ port. If you receive a prompt to automatically install the
driver(s), follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Connect your devices to the appropriate ports on the dock. Connect your external
display(s) to the dock’s video port(s).
Note: Video output capabilities are dependent on the video card and hardware
specifications of your connected host laptop. Certain video cards have limited MST
support, while some monitors will also limit the available resolution*.

Configure a display device

Please setup your display settings accordingly to your operating system and
requirements.
For detailed information, see the corresponding operation manual and description
of your operating system. Your laptop hardware must support dual external displays
(e.g.: MST). You can set up dual displays by using the video output ports
(1xDisplayPort™ and 1x HDMI®).

Nicht alle USB Type-C™ Schnittstellen am Markt unterstützen den vollen Funkti­onsumfang des USB Type-C™ Standards. Einige Schnittstellen ermöglichen unter
Umständen lediglich Datenübertragung, aber eventuell keine Videoübertragung
oder Stromversorgung via USB.
Um das volle Potential der IB-DK2403-C ausschöpfen zu können, vergewissern Sie
sich, dass Ihre Host USB Type-C™ Schnittstelle den DP Alt Modus und USB Power
Delivery oder Thunderbolt3™ unterstützt. Die beiden zusätzlichen USB Type-C™
Schnittstellen an der Dockingstation sind herkömmliche USB 3.0 Downstream
Datenschnittstellen und unterstützen NICHT den DP Alt Modus (Video), bzw. USB
Power Delivery.

Installieren und Verwenden der Dockingstation

Nach dem Anschließen und Einschalten der IB-DK2403-C werden automatisch
benötigte Treiber installiert bzw. aktualisiert. Um die Installation abzuschließen,
folgen Sie den Anweisungen, falls während der automatischen Installation dazu
aufgefordert werden sollten.

Schließen Sie Ihre Perepheriegeräte an die entsprechenden Schnittstellen an. Verbin­den Sie bei Bedarf zusätzliche Monitore mit den Videoanschlüssen der IB-DK2403-C.
Hinweis: Die Videoausgabemöglichkeiten hängen von der verwendeten Grafik­karte und weiteren Hardwarespezifikationen des angeschlossenen Host Computers
ab. Bestimmte Grafikkarten verfügen nur über eingeschränkte MST oder Videounter­stützung, während auch einige Monitore nur geringere Auflösungen unterstützen*.

Monitoreinrichtung

Zur optimalen Einstellung Ihrer Anzeigeeinheiten gehen Sie bitte entsprechend Ihres
Betriebssystems und Ihrer Bedürfnisse vor. Genauere Informationen entnehmen Sie bitte
dem Handbuch und Beschreibungen ihres Betriebssystems. Die Hardware Ihres Com­puters muss über eine Unterstützung für externe Dualanzeigeeinheiten verfügen (z.B.:
MST). Sie können zwei externe Anzeigeeinheiten hinzufügen, indem Sie diese an die
Videoschnittstellen der IB-DK2403-C (1x DisplayPort™ und 1x HDMI
