6. Reinigung des Gerätes
ACHTUNG
• vor Reinigung, das Gerät außer Betrieb nehmen

• nach der Reinigung sicherstellen, dass keine Restfeuchtigkeit vorhanden ist
• Reinigung der Geräte am besten mit trockenem Antistatiktuch durchführen

5. Potential data loss

Installation / Einbau
Important: During the drive assembly all cabling has to be disconnected from the
computer.

das Gehäuse zu öffnen. Entfernen und
legen Sie die vorinstallierten Befestigungsclips zur Seite – diese brauchen

Gently press on the arrow mark on
the cover and slide it out of the guide
rails to open the housing. Remove
and put the pre-installed mounting
clips to the side - you will need them
for installation (see picture 1.1).
Carefully place your SSD with the
connection side at an angle of approximately 30° into the M.2 socket
so that it fits without resistance.
Attach the mounting clip to the end
of the M.2 SSD between the two

Then gently push the SSD down and
secure them with the mounting clips.
Push the cover back in the guide rails
to close the enclosure.
Connect the IB-2812CL-U3 via the
delivered cable to the corresponding
port of your host computer.

Application
The Docking and Clone Station can be connected to or disconnected from the computer
without shutting down the computer.
Please await the end of read, write and clone operations before disconnecting the
enclosure to avoid data loss.
Usage
Choose your desired working mode of the Docking and Clone Station through the switch
on the front. You can choose between PC and clone mode. To switch from clone mode
to PC mode, simply select the desired position of the switch and press the „Reset“ button.
The SSDs are then registered in the operating system. If you are in PC mode and select the
switch position „Clone” simply press the „Reset“ button. The SSDs will be logged out and
the clone process can be started. Disconnecting the USB or power supply connection is
not necessary.
...when using PC mode
The IB-2812CL-U3 allows you to run two different SSDs regardless their brands, models,
or capacities via one USB connection. Just connect the IB-2812CL-U3 to the computer and
the SSDs will be detected as independent drives.
• Connect the IB-2812CL-U3 via the delivered cable to the corresponding port of your
host computer.
• When the IB-2812CL-U3 has been plugged in correctly the Power LED will turn on
blue!
• If the installed SSDs have been recognized correctly, the LED (Target or Source)
associated with the slot flashes green.
• A new SSD must first be initialized, partitioned and formatted by the operation system
to be displayed by the system.
• If the drive isn’t recognized instantly by the operating system please check:
• if the driver software is installed (USB),
• if the SSD is initialized, partitioned and formatted.
...when using clone mode
Important Information before you start the cloning process:
• The clone function creates an identical copy of your drive
– no need to connect to any computer.
• You can copy a bootable system disk without additional software or professional skills.
• Since the cloning process copies every single byte of the source drive the process may
take several hours depending on the drive capacity.
• After the cloning process is completed, in some cases the computer may not be able
to identify both drives since they are assigned to the same drive letter. To separate the
drives, you must assign one drive to a new drive letter or set them to „online” under
„disk management“ (Windows).
• If only one drive is plugged into Source, there will be no action when you press the
Clone button.
• The target SSD (Target) must be of the same size or bigger than the source SSD
(Source).
• If the target drive is smaller than the source drive, the clone mode cannot be selected
by pressing the button. The device reacts by not using flashing LEDs.
• If the target drive (Target) is bigger than the source drive (Source), you may create a
new volume with the remaining space on the target drive after cloning.
The SSDs will not show up in the operating system as drives, the clone mode will work
without an active PC connection.
Important: Make sure that the source SSD is installed in the „Source“ bay and the target
SSD in the „Target“ bay.

Starting the clone process
• Connect the IB-2812CL-U3 via an optional power supply or the delivered cable to the
corresponding port of your host computer.
• When the IB-2812CL-U3 has been plugged in correctly the Power LED will turn on blue!
• To start the clone process, press and hold the „Clone“ button for around 10 seconds.
If the selection was successful, the 0-50% and 50-100% LED will blink with a high
frequency. Press the Clone button again to start the clone mode. If the starting process
successful, only the 0-50% LED frequency will blink to show the cloning progress.
• To interrupt the cloning progress just press the „Reset” button.
• The clone process is completed when both progress LEDs are
permanently green (not flashing).
• To switch from clone mode to PC mode, simply press the „Reset“ button.
The SSDs are then registered in the operating system.

Anwendung
Die Docking und Klonstation kann im laufenden Betrieb des Rechners angeschlossen oder
von diesem getrennt werden.
Bitte das Ende von Schreib-, Lese- und Klonvorgängen abwarten bevor ein angeschlossenes Gehäuse vom Rechner getrennt wird, um Datenverlust zu vermeiden.
Verwendung
Wählen Sie den gewünschten Modus der Docking und Klonstation über den Schalter auf
der Vorderseite aus. Sie können zwischen dem PC- und Klon Modus wählen. Um aus dem
Klon Modus in den PC Modus zu gelangen, reicht das betätigen der Taste „Reset“. Die
SSDs werden dann im Betriebssystem angemeldet. Befinden Sie sich im PC Modus und
möchten in den Klon Modus wechseln, betätigen Sie die „Reset“ Taste. Daraufhin werden
die SSDs abgemeldet und der Klon-Vorgang kann gestartet werden. Das trennen der USB
oder Stromverbindung ist nicht notwendig.
...wenn der PC Modus genutzt wird
Die IB-2812CL-U3 ermöglicht es Ihnen zwei SSDs über eine USB Verbindung unabhängig
voneinander zu verwenden. Verbinden Sie einfach die IB-2812CL-U3 mit Ihrem Computer
per USB und die entsprechenden SSDs werden als einzelne Laufwerke dargestellt.
• Verbinden Sie die IB-2812CL-U3 mittels des beiliegenden Kabels mit dem entsprechenden Anschluss Ihres Computers.
• Wurde die IB-2812CL-U3 richtig eingesteckt, leuchtet die Power LED blau auf.
• Wurden die installierten SSDs korrekt erkannt, blinkt die zum Schacht gehörige LED
(Target oder Source) grün auf.
• Eine neue SSD muss vom Betriebssystem erst initialisiert, partitioniert und formatiert
werden, um vom System angezeigt zu werden.
• Wenn die SSD nicht sofort vom System erkannt wird bitte prüfen Sie:
• ob die Treibersoftware installiert ist (USB),
• ob die SSD initialisiert, partitioniert und formatiert ist.
...wenn der Klon Modus genutzt wird
Wichtige Informationen bevor Sie den Klon-Vorgang starten:
• Der Klon Modus erstellt eine identische Kopie ihrer Festplatte – ohne dass das Gerät
an einen Computer angeschlossen werden muss.
• Ohne Zusatzsoftware oder Profikenntnisse können Sie eine bootfähige Systemplatte
kopieren.
• Die SSDs werden im Betriebssystem nicht als Laufwerke angezeigt, der Klon Modus
funktioniert ohne eine aktive PC-Verbindung.
• Da die Klon-Funktion jedes einzelne Byte der Quellfestplatte kopiert, kann dieser Vorgang abhängig von der Laufwerkskapazität mehrere Stunden dauern.
• Nach Beendigung des Klonvorgangs kann es vorkommen, dass der Computer nicht
beide Laufwerke
• Identifizieren kann, da sie dem gleichen Laufwerksbuchstaben zugeordnet sind. Um
dies zu beheben muss mindestens einer SSD ein anderer Laufwerksbuchstabe zugewiesen oder als „online“ markiert werden (Windows: Datenträgerverwaltung).
• Ist nur eine SSD in Schacht Source eingesetzt, kann der Klon-Vorgang durch Drücken
der „Clone“ Taste nicht begonnen werden.
• Die Ziel-Laufwerk (Target) muss gleichgroß oder größer als die Quell- Laufwerk
(Source) sein.
• Sollte die Ziel-SSD (Target) kleiner als die Quell- SSD (Source) sein, ist die Auswahl
des Klon Modus durch drücken der Taste nicht möglich. Das Gerät reagiert mit dem
Verzicht auf blinkende LEDs.
• Sollte die Ziel-SSD (Target) größer sein als die Quell- SSD (Source), so bleibt nach
dem Klon-Vorgang freie Kapazität für weitere Partitionen übrig.

Den Klon-Vorgang starten
• Verbinden Sie die IB-2812CL-U3 mittels eines optionalen Netzteils des beiliegenden
Kabels mit dem entsprechenden Anschluss Ihres Computers.
• Wurde die IB-2812CL-U3 richtig eingesteckt, leuchtet die Power LED blau auf.
• Um den Klon-Vorgang zu starten, halten Sie die Taste „Clone“ für ca. 10 Sekunden gedrückt. Wenn die Auswahl erfolgreich war, blinken die 0-50% & 50-100% LEDs grün.
Durch weiteres betätigen der „Clone“ Taste wird der Klon-Vorgang gestartet. Dies ist
erfolgreich gestartet, wenn nur noch die 0-50% LED blinkt.
• Um den Klon-Vorgang abzubrechen, drücken Sie während des Vorgangs die „Reset“
Taste.
• Der Klon-Vorgang ist abgeschlossen, wenn beide Fortschritts-LEDs dauerhaft grün
leuchten (kein blinken).
• Um aus dem Klon Modus in den PC Modus zu gelangen, reicht das Betätigen der Taste
„Reset“. Die SSDs werden dann im Betriebssystem angemeldet.
