Please note the following information about the compatibility of USB Type-C®
enclosures and adapters, including this device!
• The enclosure only supplies the full data transfer rate of
up to 20 Gbit/s via a USB 3.2 (Gen 2x2) Type-C® host interface
and an available Asmedia chipset ASM3264 in your host PC.
• Currently a macOS
®
based computer does not support the
USB 3.2 (Gen 2x2) standard
• A USB Type-A host interface can be connected with USB 3.1, 3.0 or 2.0
standard in some notebooks and computers and can be used with the
related data transfer rate via a USB-Type-C
(not included).
• The enclosure also works on devices with a Thunderbolt
interface only with the transfer rate of up to 10 Gbit/s specified by
USB 3.1 (Gen 2).

With the help of the external USB 3.2 Type-C
®
enclosure IB-1922MF-C32 you
can take one NVMe SSD with you quickly and easily. It allows access to M.2
SSDs of up to 2 TB no matter to which host you connect it. The IB-1922MF-C32
is compatible with M.2 cards of 30/42/60/80 mm length, operating system
independent and suitable for a variety of applications such as high-speed
storage, cloning a drive or running a mobile operating system.
A PCIe controller from Asmedia gives the NVMe inside the IB-1922MF-C32
incredible speeds of up to 2000 MB/s read and write via USB Type-C
®
while
also making your M.2 SSD more durable and more efficient.
With the IB-1922MF-C32, sensitive data can now be protected against changes
and can be released again via a switch. With a small hand movement, the
switch on the IB-1922MF-C32 can be moved to the desired position.

Installation
Important: During the drive assembly all cabling has to be disconnected from
the computer. Otherwise it may cause electric shock accident or malfunction.
When inserting the hard drives, be aware of possible electrostatic discharge as
this can cause damage or malfunction. Please touch a "grounded" metal object
or wear antistatic gloves before installation.
Attention!
• The PCB, drive and SSDs are very sensitive components. Please insert the
drive carefully and make sure it is aligned correctly.
• Be careful, as there are sharp edges inside the device to avoid injury!
• In order to prevent data loss, it is imperative that a backup of hard disks
containing data is made beforehand.
1. Unscrew the four screws as
displayed and open the top
cover.
2. Insert your SSD carefully with
the connection side into the
M.2 socket at an angle of
about 30° so it fits in smoothly.
3. Then push the SSD card down
and fix the M.2 nut with the
screw as displayed and place
the delivered thermal pad
directly to the M.2 NVMe
SSD.

4. Carefully reinstall the
top cover in the correct
orientation. Please note the
right direction of the fan
connectors inside and secure
the cover using the four screws
previously removed.
Usage
• Connect the IB-1922MF-C32 via the delivered cable to the corresponding port of your host computer.
• When the IB-1922MF-C32 is correctly connected, the LED lights up
white!
Write protection
As soon as the write protection has been activated via the switch, the LED
continues to light up red, but no more data can be copied or changed on the
medium*.
*Important! A change of the write protection mode will only be activated
when the device has been disconnected and then reconnected to the host
computer.
Cooling fan
Fan with intelligent temperature control by built-in
IC chipset. If the temperature of the device rises
above 40° C, the fan starts automatically. If the
temperature of the device falls below 40° C, the
fan stops automatically.

Application
• The external SSD can be connected to or disconnected from the computer
without shutting down the computer.
• Please await the end of read/write operations before disconnecting the
SSD to avoid data loss.
• A drive must be initialized and must have active partitions to be immedia-
tely recognized as a volume in the operating system. If this is not the case,
initialize the drive in the volume management of your operating system.
• If the drive is not recognized instantly by the operating system please
check:
- if the driver software is installed (USB)
- if the SSD is initialized, partitioned and formatted

Mit dem externen USB 3.2 (Gen 2x2) Type-C
®
Gehäuse IB-1922MF-C32
können Sie eine NVMe SSD schnell und einfach mitnehmen. Es erlaubt Zugriff
auf M.2 Datenträger von bis zu 2 TB, egal mit welchem Host Sie es verbinden.
Die IB-1922MF-C32 ist kompatibel mit M.2 SSDs der Längen 30, 42, 60 und
80 mm, betriebssystemunabhängig und für eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen wie
Hochgeschwindigkeitsspeicherung, Klonen eines Laufwerks oder das Ausführen
eines mobilen Betriebssystems geeignet.
Mit der IB-1922MF-C32 können sensible Daten auf der verbauten M.2 SSD
per Schalter vor Veränderungen geschützt und wieder freigegeben werden.
Mit einer kleinen Handbewegung lässt sich der dafür zuständige Schalter des
IB-1922MF-C32 in die gewünschte Position bewegen.

Einbau
Hinweis: Um Schäden oder Fehlfunktionen zu vermeiden, darf das Gehäuse
während der Installation des Laufwerks nicht am Computer angeschlossen sein.
Beim Einsetzen der Laufwerke achten Sie auf mögliche elektrostatische Entladung, da diese zu Schäden oder Fehlfunktionen führen können. Berühren Sie
vor der Installation ein „geerdetes“ Metallobjekt oder tragen Sie antistatische
Handschuhe.
Achtung!
• Die PCB und das Laufwerk sind sehr empfindliche Komponenten. Setzen Sie
das Laufwerk bitte vorsichtig ein und achten Sie auf die richtige Ausrichtung.
• Gehen Sie behutsam vor, da im Inneren des Gerätes scharfe Kanten vorhan-
den sind.
• Um Datenverlust vorzubeugen, sollte zwingend von Festplatten mit enthalte-
nen Daten zuvor ein Backup durchgeführt werden.
•
1. Lösen Sie die vier Schrauben
wie gezeigt und öffnen Sie
den Deckel.
2. Platzieren Sie Ihre SSD vorsichtig mit der Anschlussseite
und in einem Winkel von ca.
30° in den M.2-Slot, so dass
sie sich widerstandslos einfügt.
3. Drücken Sie die SSD dann
vorsichtig nach unten und
fixieren Sie die M.2 mittels der
mitgelieferten Schraube an der
Platine und bringen Sie das
mitgelieferte Wärmeleitpad
direkt auf der eingebauten
M.2 NVMe SSD auf.

4. Installieren Sie nun den zuvor
abgenommenen Deckel
wieder in der richtigen
Ausrichtung. Achten Sie auf
die korrekte Ausrichtung der
Lüfterkontakte innerhalb des
Gehäuses und befestigen Sie
wieder die vier zuvor entnommenen Schrauben.
Verwendung
• Verbinden Sie die IB-1922MF-C32 mittels des beiliegenden Kabels mit
dem entsprechenden Anschluss Ihres Computers.
• Wurde die IB-1922MF-C32 richtig eingesteckt, leuchtet die LED weiß
auf.
Schreibschutz
Sobald der Schreibschutz per Schalter aktiviert wurde, leuchtet die LED rot
auf und es lassen sich keine Daten mehr auf das Medium kopieren oder
verändern*
*Wichtig! Die Änderung des Schreibschutzmodus erfolgt nur, wenn das
Gerät getrennt und dann wieder mit dem Hostcomputer verbunden wurde.
Lüfter
Lüfter mit intelligenter Temperaturkontrolle durch
eingebauten IC Chipsatz für die Temperaturkontrolle. Steigt die Temperatur des Gerätes
über 40° C an, startet der Lüfter automatisch.
Unterschreitet die Temperatur des Gerätes
40° C, stoppt der Lüfter automatisch.

Anwendung
Das externe Laufwerk kann im laufenden Betrieb des Rechners an diesen via
USB Kabel angeschlossen oder von diesem getrennt werden.
Eine neue SSD muss vom Betriebssystem erst initialisiert, partitioniert und
formatiert werden, um vom System angezeigt zu werden.
Wenn die SSD nicht sofort vom System erkannt wird bitte prüfen:
- ob die Treibersoftware installiert ist (USB)
- ob die SSD initialisiert, partitioniert und formatiert ist
Bitte das Ende von Schreib- und Lesevorgängen abwarten bevor ein
angeschlossenes Gehäuse vom Rechner getrennt wird, um Datenverlust zu
vermeiden.
