This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer's attention to article 820-22 of the NEC that provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as practical.
INSTALLATION
You need the following items, not supplied with your modulator, to connect it between a video input source and your TV.
To connect the modulator to a video camera, VCR, DSS receiver, or DVD player
you need one audio/video shielded cable with three phono connectors at each end, if the video source’s audio output is stereo; or one audio/video shielded cable with two phono connectors at each end, if the video source’s audio output is monaural.
To connect the modulator to your TV or an A-B switch,
you need one RG 59 75-

Using AC Power
You can power the modulator using the supplied 15V, 400-mA AC adapter.
Cautions:
You must use a C lass 2 power source that supplies 15V DC

and delivers at least 400 mA. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit the modulator's jack. The supplied adapter meets these specifications. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the modulator or the adapter.
• Always connect the AC adapter to the modulator before you connect it to AC power. When you finish, disconnect the adapter from AC power before you disconnect it from the modulator.
Follow these steps to connect the adapter.
