Surveyor Drone
1. On the transmitter, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.
2. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
3. Insert two A AA batteries (not included), matching
the polarities marked inside. Use alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
During play, if the transmitter’s
LED ashes, replace the batteries.

Get Rea dy to Fly
1. Open the drone batter y compartment door and nd the battery socket.
2. Plug the drone batter y to the socket. The four LEDs (two in white in the
front, two in green in the back) ash.
3. Insert th e battery with its cable into the battery compar tment.
4. Secure the compartm ent door.
5. Place the drone on level ground.
6.
Switch on the transmitter. The transmitter’s LED lights.
7.
Move the throttle all the way from the descend position to ascend and back to descend to pair the transmitter with the drone. The drone’s blades remain still during pairing. When paired, the d rone’s
LEDs stop ashing and remain on.
Note:
If pairing fails, switch o the drone and transmit ter and repeat the
steps above, or move locations to avoid interference.
Fly Your Drone
1. After pairing, p ress the steering control to switch between high speed (double beep) and normal speed (single beep).
2. For beginners: With the drone on t he ground, move the throttle forward to y.
For advanced users: Hold the transmitter with on e hand, resting your thumb on the throttle.
Then throw the drone about three meters away from you, and promptly move the throttle
forward to y. The drone adjusts itself automatically an d ies stably.
3. To land your drone, slowly move the throttle backward to descend. Avoid moving the throttle too quickly, as that can stop the blades instantly and cause the d rone to crash.
4. When you nish playing, disconnec t and remove the drone battery and turn o the transmitter.
We hope you enjoy your Surveyor Drone from
RadioShack. Please read this user’s guide before setting up and using your drone.

Charge the Dr one Ba ttery
Your drone uses a lithium polymer battery for power.
1. Hold the batter y connector (NOT the cable) and carefully unplug the battery from the drone.
2.
Use the USB charging cable to connect the battery to a USB power source, such as a laptop. The LED on the USB connector lights red
during charging, and turns o when charging is complete.
A full charge takes about 35 minutes. When the battery is fu lly
charged, the drone can y up to 5 minutes.
3. After charging, unpl ug the USB charging cable. Do not attempt to overcharge the battery.
Caution:
• Use only the supplied lithium battery. Using any other battery may damage the drone.
• Only use the included USB charging cable to charge the drone battery.

1. Press and hold the throttle control. The transmit ter beeps.
2. Move the steering control to perform ips:
• Frontip: Move lever forward
• Backip: Move lever backward
• Barrel roll: Move lever right or left
3. To exit stunt mode, release the throttle before moving the steering control.
IMPORTANT: Make sure there is enough space for the
drone to perform a ip. Avoid crashing on people or any object.
Trim Your Dr one
Use the two trim pads to ne-tune your drone to avoid
excess drift. Push the throttle forward and observe how the drone reacts.
Forward/Reverse Movement Trim: If the drone tends to move forward, press the lower part on this pad; if it tends to move backward, press the upper part.
Left/Right Slide Trim: If the drone tends to slide right, press the upper part on this pad; if it tends to slide lef t, press the lower part.
Note: The transmitter sounds a short beep whe n you press any trim control. A long beep sounds when you reach
maximum trim adjustment.

Dron e is n ot res pondin g
• Make sure the dron e and transmitte r are switched on and pa ired. When they are paired, the LEDs of t he drone and transmitter are o n.
• The drone bat tery may be low. Charge t he battery ful ly. (Refer to “Charge the Drone Battery“)
• Transmitter batte ry may be low. Replace the batteries .
• Make sure the dron e is within the cont rol range (65 ft./20 m) and in line of sight.
Dron e dif ficu lt to c ontrol
• The thrott le control is very sensi tive. Use
small, ne movem ents of the throttl e.
• If you are a begi nner, use the steering control to set to the norma l speed mode. It is easier to control in th e normal speed mode. (Refer to “Fly Your Dron e“)
Batt ery N otes
• After play ing, you may need to wai t to let the drone batter y cool before charging i t.
• Dispose of old b atteries promptly a nd properly. Do not burn o r bury them. Use only fresh batter ies of the required size and recommended ty pe.
• Do not mix old a nd new batteries, d ierent
types of batteri es (standard, alka line, or rechargeable), or recharg eable batteries of
dierent capacit ies.
• If you do not pla n to use the drone for a long period, rem ove the batteries fro m the transmitter. Batter ies can leak chemi cals that can damage e lectronic par ts.
Lith ium Ba ttery Notes
• Do n ot puncture or crush . Do not disassemble.
• Do n ot dispose of lithium b atteries in the tr ash.
• If th e electrolyte i n the cells should g et on
your skin, thorou ghly wash with soa p and water. If in the eyes, rinse th oroughly with coo l water. Immediately see k medical attenti on.
• Follow the m anufacturer’s i nstructions fo r charging the drone a nd do not charge longe r than recommende d. Unplug the cha rging cable when the d rone is charged.
