Condition
The PROTECTED WHEN LIT and ON indicators turn off, and the surge protector sounds an alarm.
Solution
Your surge protector's AC line is no longer protected from surges and power is not allowed to pass beyo nd the alarm. Whe n the surge protector recei ves an unusua lly strong surge, the built-in protection absorbs the surge to protect your equipme nt. If the surg e is strong enough, it d iminishes the pr otection circuitry’s ability and the surge protector sounds an alarm. If the PROTECTED WHEN LIT and ON indicators will not light, replace the surge protector.
