Antenna Tube — The supplied plastic antenna tube holds up the antenna wire for the best reception and range. Route the antenna wire’s loose end through the tube. Then insert the tube securely into the car’s tube holder.
Throttle Trigger — Drive the car using the throttle trigger to move forward and backward. Pull all the way to the left for maximum forward speed. Push to the right to move backward. Release to stop.
Steering Wheel — Use the steering control wheel to turn left and right. The farther you steer the steering wheel, the tighter the car turns. Release it to make the car go straight.
Antenna — Extend the antenna to its full length before driving the car. For maximum range, hold the transmitter with the antenna as high as possible and point it straight up. Retract the antenna when you are finished driving the car.
ON/OFF — Slide to ON to activate the transmitter and drive the car. Slide to OFF when you are finished driving the car.
ON/OFF — Slide to ON to activate the car and drive it. Slide to OFF when you are finished driving the car.
TRIM VOL ST — Adjusts the wheel alignment so that the car drives in a straight line.
TRIM VOL F/R — Adjusts
the throttle trim so that
the car stops completely
when the throttle trigger
is released.
LED Indicator —
Lights when the transmitter is on.

INSTALLING BATTERIES
The Super StreetTM Acura RSX requires a 7.2-volt rechargeable nickel­cadmium (Ni-Cd), or nickel-metal-hydride (Ni-MH), battery pack and battery charger (not included). The transmitter requires one 9-volt battery (not supplied). The rechargeable battery pack and battery pack charger, as well as alkaline battery, are available at your local RadioShack store.
1. Place the car on a box or a wooden block so its tires do not touch the ground. Do not touch the tires during this adjustment.

2. Place the battery pack in the compartment. Attach the battery pack’s white plastic connector to the car’s matching connector. Do not force them together. They only fit one way.
1. Use a coin to turn the latches on the battery compartment cover toward
OPEN. Lift and
remove the cover.
3. Replace the cover and turn the latches to secure it. When the car moves slowly or does not move at all, recharge the car’s battery pack.
Remove the battery compartment cover and place the battery in the transmitter as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marke d inside. Replace the cover. When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace its battery.

• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
• Do not burn or bury batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use th e car for several days, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts.
The box wrench supplied with your car lets you remove and replace the front and rear wheels. Be careful not to discard the box wrench when you unpack the car.
2. Slide
ON/OFF on the transmitter and car to ON.
3. If the rear tires begin to move, turn
TRIM VOL F/R on the transmitter clockwise or counter-
clockwise until the tires stop.

This car can reach much higher speeds than most other radio-controlled cars. Be carefultoavoid high-impact collisions with people and objects.

CARE
Keep the car dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the car only in normal temperature environments. Handle the car carefully; do not drop it. Keep the car away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
SERVICE AND REPAIR
If your car is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance. To locate your nearest RadioShack, use the store locator feature on RadioShack's website (www.radioshack.com), or call 1-800-The Shack (843-7422) and follow the menu options. Modifying or tampering with the car's internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate it.

RACING TWO OR MORE CARS TOGETHER
Radio-controlled cars use specific frequencies to operate. Cars with different frequencies can race together. Cars with the same frequency c annot. The following chart shows the frequencies available for this car. If you buy more than one car and you plan to race them, be sure the sticker (showing the band number) on each car is a different color to ensure that they use different frequencies.

CAUTION
Driving the Car
• Do not drive the car through puddles or in the rain, sand, or snow. D oing so ca n damage t he car.
• To extend the car’s life, rest the car for 20 minutes after every 15 minutes of continuous use.
• If the car gets stuck under an object, immediately set ON/
OFF on the transmitter to OFF, then retrieve the car.
• Running your car continuously for long periods generates high heat levels.
• Heat causes wear and tear on the motor. To help keep heat levels down, when your car’s battery pack runs down, let the car cool for at least 10 minutes before installing a new or newly charged battery pack.
