Install Batteries
Your clock requires 2 AA batteries (not supplied) for power.
1. Flip open the stand.
2. Lift the tab on the battery cover on the back of the
clock.
• If you do not plan to use your clock for more than a month, remove the battery. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts.

3. Insert two AA batteries into the battery compartment, following the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
4. Replace the cover.
Battery Notes
• Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
Flip open the stand on the back and push it into the slot at the base of the clock until it clicks. Place the clock on a flat surface.
Mounting on a wall
1. Drill a hole in the wall at the desired location.
2. If needed, insert an anchor (not supplied) into the
hole. Drive a screw (not supplied) into the hole, leaving about3/16 in. (4.8 mm) exposed.
3. Slide the clock’s keyhole slot onto the exposed screw head.
Stand
Set up your clock (Optional)
The clock shows the current time, day of the week, and indoor temperature. The clock attempts to synchronize with the atomic time signal automatically when you first set up the clock and whenever you press RESET.Ifthe clock does NOT automatically display, do the following:

1. Hold down WAVE/SET for about 2 seconds to enter settings manually.
2. The time zone and DST (Daylight Savings Time) flash. Press + to select your time zone. Press − to turn DST to On or Off. The default settings are PST and DST on.
3. Press WAVE/SET to confirm these settings.
4. The year digits flash. Press + or to select the year.
5. PressPress WAVE/SET to confirm the year.
6. The date digits flash, press + or to select the date..
7. Press WAVE/SET to confirm the date.
8. The time digits flash. Press + or to select the time.
9. Press WAVE/SET to confirm the time.
10. The time format and temperature flash. Press + to
select between the 12 Hr and 24 Hr format. Press to select between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
11. Press WAVE/SET to confirm the hour format and temperature.
ZNotes:
• Manually setting your clock may decrease battery life.
• When setting the year, date, and time, press and hold + or to scroll rapidly through the choices.
Resetting your Clock
Press RESET when the clock is inaccurate, even if “WAVE OK” or “OK” appears. Sometimes severe external noise may interfere with the time signal.
Signal Reception
Your clock will search for an atomic time signal and display the time automatically. Once a signal is found, stops flashing. If the initial reception fails, the clock will display the time you set, and search again every 3 hours.
ZNotes:
• Each reception attempt will last for several minutes, depending on signal strength in your location.
• If flashes, your clock is actively searching for the time signal. If is static, your clock is not searching for the signal.
• It is normal for “WAVE OK” to appear when the clock receives a signal during the last search. “WAVE OK” may not appear daily due to interference between your location and Fort Collins, Colorado.
• Start signal reception at any time by pressing WAVE/ SET.

• For best reception, place your Atomic Clock near a window facing Fort Collins, Colorado. Move the clock to another location if you encounter difficulty while receiving the time signal.
Care and Use
• Avoid contact with any corrosive materials such as perfume, alcohol, or cleaning agents.
• Do not subject the clock to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity. Any of these conditions may shorten the life of the clock.
• Do not tamper with any of the internal components of this clock. This will invalidate the warranty and may cause damage.

Limited Warranty
RadioShack warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use by the original purchaser for ninety (90) days after the date of purchase from a RadioShack-owned store or an authorized RadioShack franchisee or dealer. RADIOSHACK MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to abuse, misuse, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, accident, Acts of God (such as floods or lightning), or excess voltage or current; (b) improper or incorrectly performed repairs by persons who are not a RadioShack Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) ordinary wear and tear or cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service, adjustment or reinstallation; and (g) claims by persons other than the original purchaser.
Should a problem occur that is covered by this warranty, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to any RadioShack store in the U.S. RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) repair the product without charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with the
same or a comparable product; or (c) refund the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of RadioShack. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the perfor­mance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.
RADIOSHACK EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS NOT STATED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE IMPOSED BY LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MER­CHANTABILITY AND, IF APPLICABLE, THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL EXPIRE ON THE EXPIRATION OF THE STATED WARRANTY PERIOD.
