TROUBLESHOOTING
Condition
The SURGE ACTIVE INDICATOR (green LED) does not light.
Solution
The surge protector's AC line is no longer protected from surges; replace the surge protector. The surge protector may have received a power surge or spike beyond its specified limits that might overload the protection circuitry and make it inactive. If this happened, the surge protector should have absorbed enough of the surge to protect the connected equipment, but it will not protect against future surges and spikes.
Condition
The GROUND INDICATOR (red LED) does not light.
Solution
If the light is not illuminated, this indicates that there is a possible problem with the AC outlet that the unit is connected to, such as bad ground, missed ground, or reversed wiring. User is advised to disconnect all electrical equipment from the outlet. You will need to contact an electrician to have this problem corrected. If the light was on, but has suddenly gone out, the ground has sustained damage. Discontinue use immediately and contact technical support as directed by the warranty instructions.

The wiring in the building must comply with all applicable codes (NEC, CSA, etc.), and all wires (power, telephone and coaxial) leading into the Connected Equipment must pass through the surge protector. To claim damage to Connected Eq uipment as a result of telephone line transients, the surge protector must provide telephone line protection, and your telephone service equipment must include a properly installed and operating “primary protection” device at the service entrance. Primary protection devices are normally available from the telephone company and added during telephone line installation.
