Thank you for purchasing your Two-Bell Door Chime from RadioShack. Please read this user’s guide before installing, setting up, and using your new door chime.

1 Select Channels
1. Remove the battery compartment covers on the door chime and the two bells.
2. Select the same channel (1, 2, or 3) in the door chime and doorbell 1.
3. Repeat step 2 for the doorbell 2.

• Remove batteries and follow above steps to change or reset the channel on your door chime and remote doorbells.
• If your door chime rings when no one presses one of the remotes, you may be receiving interference. Switch the affected door chime and doorbell to another channel.
2 Install Batteries
1. Insert three C batteries in your door chime as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and – ).
2. Insert three AAA batteries in each remote doorbell as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and – ).
3. Replace the covers.
Notes:
• Replace the door chime’s batteries if it buzzes and the LED flashes red.
• Replace the doorbell’s batteries if the LED turns off.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the alarm for a month or longer, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts.
3 Mount Your Door Chime
You can mount your door chime on a door or wall, or set it on a flat surface using the attached metal stand. To mount to a door or wall:
1. Drill a ¼ inch hole in the door or wall and insert an anchor.
2. Screw an M 3.5 screw into the anchor, leaving the head
extended about

inch.
3. Align the door chime’s rear keyhole slot to the screw head and slide the chime down to lock in place.

4 Mount Your Doorbell
1. Mark two holes using the mounting bracket as a guide. Drill a ¼ inch hole at each mark. Insert an anchor in each hole.
2. Align your mounting bracket with the anchors and screw a supplied M 3.5 screw into each anchor.
3. Slide your doorbell into the bracket. To lock the doorbell in place, insert a supplied M 2.6 screw into the bottom of the mounting bracket.

You can also use the supplied lanyard to carry your doorbell with you as a panic alarm or to let someone know you have arrived.
1. Slip the small end through the hole at the top of the remote doorbell.
2. Thread the thick end through the loop at the thin end and pull through.
5 Use Your Door Chime
1. Slide your door chime to ON.
2. Press the button on one of your doorbells. Your
chime will “ding dong” for doorbell 1 and play “Home Sweet Home” for doorbell 2.
3. Slide the door chime to OFF when you don’t want to hear it ring.

Add Another Alarm
You can expand your doorbells to sound an additional alarm. To do this, you will need to wire one or both doorbells to an alarm that contains a normally open contact.
1. Connect both tips of a 2-conductor wire (not supplied) to a doorbell, as shown, using two M3 screws.
2. Connect both tips of the other end of the 2-conductor wire to the extra alarm.
Now, when you press your doorbell, both the door chime and the alarm will sound.

Limited Warranty
RadioShack warrants this product against defects in materials and workman­ship under normal use by the original purchaser for ninety (90) days after the date of purchase from a RadioShack-owned store or an authorized RadioShack franchisee or dealer. RADIOSHACK MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attribut­able to abuse, misuse, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, accident, Acts of God (such as floods or lightning), or excess voltage or current; (b) improper or incorrectly performed repairs by persons who are not a RadioShack Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) ordinary wear and tear or cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service, adjustment or reinstallation; and (g) claims by persons other than the original purchaser.
Should a problem occur that is covered by this warranty, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to any RadioShack store in the U.S. RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) repair the product without charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with the same or a comparable product; or (c) refund the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of RadioShack. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.
