Thank you for buying a RadioShack Dodge Toyota Tundra Truck. Built to
1/14 scale, it can reach speeds of up to 660 feet per minute. Your truck’s
super-size wheels handle the rough spots with ease. Your truck is for age 6
and up.
Your truck comes in two frequencies (27 MHz and 49 MHz), so you and your
friends can drive together. Check the box to see which frequency you have.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Cautions:
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard,
alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different
capacities.
If you do not plan to use the vehicle for a week or more, remove the
batteries from the transmitter and the vehicle. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
Never leave dead or weak batteries in the vehicle or transmitter.
Use only the recommended battery pack and charger.
Do not charge or recharge the battery pack while it is in the vehicle.
After you chare or recharge the battery (12 to 14 hours), disconnect it
from the charger. Overcharging the battery pack might damage it.
Do not recharge a battery pack immediately after use (while it is still hot).
Allow it to cool first.
Be sure the battery connectors and wires are positioned so they do not
touch any moving parts.
Warning: Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury
them.
IN THE TRANSMITTER
You need one 9V battery (not supplied, available at your local RadioShack

store) to power the transmitter. For the best performance and longest life, we
recommend a RadioShack alkaline battery.
1. Pull up on the tab on the bottom edge of the transmitter and lift the cover
to remove it.
2. Place a battery in the compartment according to the polarity symbols ( +
and - ) marked inside.

3. Replace the cover and snap it shut.
When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace its batt ery.
IN THE CAR
Your truck uses 8 AA alkaline batteries or a 9.6V rechargeable battery pack
(neither supplied, available at your local RadioShack store) for power. You can
install AA alkaline batteries in the battery box to use the truck while the battery
pack is charging.
1. Slide ON/OFF on the side of the truck to OFF.
2. Use a coin to turn the battery compartment latches counterclockwise until
they stop. Lift the battery compartment door to remove it.
3. If you are using 9.6V battery pack, attach the battery pack’s connector to
the truck’s matching connector and place it in the recessed area.
If you are using alkaline batteries, place them in the supplied battery
compartment box according to the polarity symbols ( + and - ) marked
inside. Attach the battery box’s connector to truck’s matching connector.
Turn the box face down and place it in the recessed area.
Attach the battery pack’s connector to the car’s matching connector. Do
not force them together. They fit only one way.
4. Close the cover and turn the latches clockwise until they stop to secure
the cover.
When the truck moves slowly or does not move at all, recharge the truck’s
battery pack.
Note: Occasionally, fully discharge the battery pack before you recharge it.
Otherwise, the battery pack loses its ability to fully charge.

DRIVING THE RACER
Warning: Never play with your racer in the street.
Caution: If the vehicle gets stuck under an object, immediately release both
buttons on the transmitter. Then retrieve the vehicle.
1. Slide ON/OFF on the side of the truck to ON. The headlights turn on.
2. Slide L/H (under the rear bumper) to H for driving on smooth surfaces, or
to L for driving on rougher surfaces.
3. Use the transmitter’s control levers to drive and steer the truck.

Left Control Lever--
•/ Push forward to move forward.
•/ Push forward and to the right for turbo speed.
•/ Pull backward to move backward.
•/ Release to stop.
Right Control Lever
•/ Push left to turn left.
•/ Push right to turn right.
•/ Release to go straight.
4. When you fi nish driving the racer, slide ON/OFF to OFF. Th e headlights
turn off.
HELPFUL HINT
•/ Running your racer continuously for long periods generates high heat
levels. Heat causes wear and tear on the motor. To help keep heat
levels down, when your racer’s batteries die, let the racer cool at least 10
minutes before installing new batteries.
•/ If the racer’s motor runs but does not respond to the transmitter, move
closer to the racer and try again.
•/ If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with control of the racer.
If this happens, move the racer away from the CB.
•/ You cannot operate your racer near devices with transmitters that use the
same frequency as your racer (27 or 49 MHz). Check the box to see
which frequency you have.
•/ If the racer moves slowly and you have installed new batteries, check the
wheel mechanisms for lint, thread, hair, or dust.

WHEEL AL IGNMENT
If the racer does not drive in a straight line when you release the right control
lever, use a flat-bladed screwdriver to adjust the wheel alignment control on
the bottom of the truck. Turn the control toward R if the truck is pulling to the
left, or toward L if the truck is pulling to the right.
