CHARGING
The battery pack requires a complete charge before us e. Follow these ste ps for t he fir st and each subsequent charge.
1. Align the arrow on the bottom of the battery pack with the arrow on the battery charger.
2. Gently press the battery pac k against the battery charger, then slide the battery pack in the direction of the arrow until it locks into place.
Cautions:
• After use, the battery pack will be hot. Wait at least 20 minutes until the battery pack cools down before recharging it. Charging a warm or hot battery pack greatly reduces the number of times your battery pack can be recharged.
• If the battery pack is we t, thoroughly dry it before charging.

Notes:
• When you charge the battery pac k the first two times, charge it for 6 hours. Subsequent charges require only 4 hours.
The battery pack discharges when running your radio-controlled vehicle, but it is not fully discharged when the vehicle stops running. If the b attery is not used for several days after that, it loses even more of its charge and might again require a full 6-hour charge.
• The battery pack becomes hot after charging. This is normal for fully charged batteries.
• The battery pack can be charged for longer than 4 hours without harm. However, we recommend you remove the battery charger from the AC outlet if you are not going to use the battery pack for several hours.
Caution:
Do not charge a battery pack for longer than 24 hours. Overcharging a battery pack results in reduced battery capacity.
4. When charging is complete, unplug the battery charger from the AC outlet.
5. To remove the battery pack, press and hold down the red button on the left side of the charger, then slide out the battery pack.
