be placed on rad io.

Install Batteries
1. Ope n the batter y cover.
2. Inst all three A A batteri es (not inclu ded) as indi cated by the
polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside.
3. Rep lace the bat tery cover.
Note:
• When ( and the reading s in the radio 's RADIO/ TIME disp lay
ash, replace t he batteri es.
• In battery-po wered mode, t he LED back light ligh ts blue
when you press any r adio butt on. It then tu rns o afte r 5 seconds to save th e battery p ower.
• Dispose of batte ries prompt ly and prope rly. Do not bur n or bury them.
• Use only fresh bat teries of th e required size a nd type.
Do not mix old and n ew batteri es, diere nt types of bat teries (alkaline or re chargeabl e), or rechargea ble batte ries of
dierent capacities.
If you do not plan to us e the radio fo r a long time , remove the batterie s. Batteri es can leak ch emicals t hat can dama ge electronic parts.
Dim the LED Backlig ht
You can adjust the b rightnes s of the LED by set ting DIMMER to LOW or HIGH.
Set up the Wireless Se nsor
Install Batteries
1. Sli de open the ba ttery cove r.
2. Inse rt two AA b atteries (n ot include d) in the batte ry
compartme nt matching t he polari ty symbol s (+ and -) marked inside.
3. Rep lace the bat tery cover.
Power your Radio
The radio can b e powered by AC powe r and by batte ries. Whe n it is powered by AC powe r, batteries ca n act as a backu p power source for power ou tages. Se ttings an d data memo ry will be
lost if both AC is out a nd batter ies are removed ,
• Connect the su pplied AC ad apter cabl e into the rad io's power port, a nd plug the a dapter into a s tandard AC outlet. The LCD b acklit dis play light s blue.

Weather Forecast
The radio cal culates the w eather fore cast for the n ext 12 to 24 hours, and it d isplays the c urrent ind oor/outdoor tem perature and humidity readings.
When you power on t he radio, wa it for about 1 m inute to
receive an outdo or signal f rom the remote se nsor. ashes until the sign al is receive d, then it dis appears w hen ready.
Note:
If AC power is interr upted and you h ave not insta lled backu p batteries, t he radio wi ll begin sea rching for a si gnal.
• Press °C /°F to display temperatures in °C or °F.
• When tempera ture falls be low 0°C (32 °F) and th e weather is rain, the sno w icon will ap pear.
Set the Clock
1. Press a nd hold TIME to enter ti me settin g.
2. Press d/HR to set the hour, and press e/MI N to set the
minute.
3. Press TIME again to enter time f ormat sett ing. Then
press d/HR or e/MIN to select 12H o r 24H.
4. Press TIME to confirm and exi t.
Set the Alarm
1. Press a nd hold ALARM to enter a larm cloc k setting .
2. Press d/HR to set the hour, and press e/MIN to set t he
minute.
3. Press ALARM again to confirm and exit.
Alarm Options
To activate the ala rm, move the BEEP/RADIO/OFF switch to RADIO or BEEP.
• Select RADIO if you wish to wake up to yo ur AM/FM ra dio station. º di splays in rad io's RADI O/TIME. S elect BEEP if you wish to wake up to a b eeper. » displ ays in radio's RADIO/TIME.
• At the set alarm ti me, the ala rm sounds fo r 60 minutes . Press any radio bu tton to stop t he alarm an d reset it to come on the next s et day.
• Press SNOOZE/SLEEP to silent the al arm for 5 min utes.

To turn o the alarm, m ove the BEEP/RADIO/OFF switch to OFF.
Listen to your Radio
1. Ex tend the ante nna (for FM rad io).
2. Press a nd hold AM/FM to tu rn on the rad io and then
adjust the volume.
3. Press AM/FM repeatedly t o select a ra dio band (A M/FM/ AUX).
4. The radio display al ways defau lts to time. P ress d/HR or e/MIN to show the frequency in the display.
5. Press d/HR or e/MIN to tune a station, o r press and hold d/HR or e/MIN to scan available s tations.
6. Press - VOLUME or + VOLUME to adjust volume.
7. Press and hold AM /FM to switch o th e radio.
Store Preset Stations
You can store 10 AM and 10 FM sta tions.
1. Press a nd hold AM/FM to t urn on the ra dio.
2. Press AM/FM repeatedly t o select th e band.
3. Press d/HR or e/MIN to tune to your desi red stati on.
4. Press an d hold PROG to enter programming mode. MEMORY ashe s in the RAD IO/TIME d isplay, and a
number indicating the preset memory location appears. Press PROG again to store.
5. Rep eat 2-4 to store more st ations, or p ress any othe r keys to quit programming mode.
Listen to Preset Stations
Press and hold AM /FM to turn on the r adio. Press M EMORY repeatedly to se lect a preset s tation. T he display s hows the corresponding preset station number.
Listen to an Externa l Audio Source
1. Press a nd hold AM/FM to t urn on the ra dio.
2. Use a 1/8" (3 .5 mm) audio c able (not inc luded) to
connect the ea rphone ja ck on your aux iliary a udio source to AUX IN jac k on the back of t he radio.
3. Press AM/FM repeatedly u ntil the ra dio's RAD IO/TIME display shows AU X to select au xiliar y mode.
4. Use th e controls on you r connecte d device to cont rol the volume.
5. Wh en nished , disconne ct the audi o cable, pres s and hold AM/FM to tu rn the radi o o.
Reset
1. Switch o the radi o, remove the ba tteries, a nd unplug
the adapter.
2. Usin g a pointed obj ect (such as t he end of pape r clip or pen), press the RESET ho le for at least 1 s econd to reset the radio to it s default fa ctory set tings (wit h 5 AM and 5 FM presets).
3. Rep lace batter ies or reconn ect your ad apter and tur n on the radio.

Place the Remote Sensor
Place the senso r on a at surf ace within 9 0 feet (27.43
m) of your radio, in a n open area fre e from trees or ot her obstructions.
To mount the sensor on a w all:
1. Select a positio n that is not hi gher than 5 fe et (1.5 m) on an
outdoor wall.
2. Drill a hole at the p osition.
3. Thread a screw (not included) into the
hole and let it ex tend slig htly from th e wall.
4. Fit the head of the scr ew into the keyh ole slot of the sensor.
Note:
• When ( and the readi ngs
ash on the radi o's OUTDOO R display, repl ace the bat teries
in the sensor.
Before moun ting the wi reless sens or, verify the r adio can
receive signal s from the chos en locati on. Move the se nsor closer if the ra dio does not rec eive any sign als.
Do not block ve nts. Do not su bmerge th e sensor in wate r. Avoid exposing t he sensor to di rect rain , snow, or sunli ght. Remove the senso r from outdoo rs in extrem e or harsh weat her.
Do not place the se nsor in areas of h igh winds .
