BATTERY INSTALLATION
This game is p owered by four (4 ) C (LR14) batte ries.
• Using a screwdr iver, loosen the scr ew until the batte ry compa rtment door can be re moved.
• Insert fo ur (4) C ( LR14) batteries ( we recommen d alkaline ) as indicated inside the bat tery compartmen t.
• Replace the b attery co mpartme nt door and tigh ten the screw with a screwdriver. Do not over-tigh ten.

CONNEC TING TO YOUR T V
To connect Jibbi dir ectly to a TV, the TV m ust be equipp ed with audio and video inp ut jacks. They a re commonly fo und on the front of t he TV near the cont rast, color, and pi cture adjust ment control s; or on the bac k of the TV nea r the antenna and c able/ satellite jacks .

Insert th e white audio plu g from the game in to the left Audi o-In (white ) jack on the T V.
Set your TV to th e appropria te video input m ode. (See yo ur TV’s oper at­ing manual fo r details.)

If your TV doe sn’t have audio and v ideo input ja cks, you can conn ect Jibbi to your VCR.

GETTING STARTED
The optimal p lacement of th e Jibbi consol e is on top of your TV ; however, placing the c onsole any whe re near your T V is acceptab le. Jibbi will re ­spond to your voic e commands th erefore ambi ent noises ne ed to be kept to a minimum. Spe ak clearly a nd stay direct ly in front of the mic rophone. Turn Jibbi on using the o ff/on swi tch located on th e bottom of the unit .
Here are som e tips when talk ing to Jibbi:
• Talk directly in lin e with the microp hone
• Stay 3-5 fee t away from Jibbi
• Speak clea rly
• Only 1 pers on speak at a tim e
• Keep backgrou nd noise (l ike music and conve rsations to a mi nimum)
• Wait until the word i s on the scree n before you spea k it
Turn Jibbi on using the o n/off sw itch and you will be a sked “Continue Existing G ame?”
• If you respon d Yes you will start whe re you last lef t off
• If you respon d No you will be asked “Are yo u Sure?”
When asked A re You Sure?
• If you respon d Yes you will erase your da ta and star t over!
• If you respon d No you will contin ue where you lef t off
JIBBI M ODES
Turn Off Mod e– It is not ne cessar y to turn Jibbi of f. If there is no inte r­action for over 20 mi nutes, Jibbi wi ll go into “Sleep M ode” (See b elow). Jibbi will give you a n onscreen p rompt when bat teries are low. Another power source fo r the unit is a 6 V D.C. adapter ( not included).

Turn On Mode – On ce you turn Jibbi o n either by a dou ble han d clap
or the on/ off switch, Jibb i will appear o n the screen.
Please no te: If you do n’t talk to Jibbi with in 30 second s, Jibbi will go into Hey Jibbi Mod e (See Bel ow)
Sleep Mo de – If you don’t play wi th Jibbi for a per iod of 20 minutes Ji bbi will automatic ally go into sle ep mode. Cla p twice to w ake Jibbi u p!
Please no te: Jibb i will randoml y ask you to play when in s leep mode (betwee n the hours of 1pm and 7pm ). Jibbi’s icon on t he front of the console will fl ash and Jibb i’s voice will come out of t he console.

PLAYING WITH J IBBI
Insert ba tteries in to the Jibbi conso le and turn your T V on to the appro­priate sett ings. (Se e Set Up – TV Co nnection )
Jibbi is your fr iend who lives i n your TV. Talk to Jibbi by speaki ng the word prompts o n your TV scre en. When Jibb i understa nds you the words will bec ome transpa rent. Play gam es and nurtu re Jibbi to earn Jibbi Beans . The more Jibb i beans you ear n the more fun thin gs you can buy! Ma ke sure you pay atte ntion to every thing Jibbi s ays to keep Jibbi happy an d healthy.
JIBBI M ETERS
If any of the Jibbi Me ters get too low Jib bi will get sick . So watch those meters !
Food Meter – I f the food meter ge ts too low Jibbi will c omplain abo ut being hungr y. Feed Jibbi to inc rease the mete r.
Bath Met er – If the bath mete r gets too low Jibbi w ill complain a bout being stink y. Give Jibbi a bath to inc rease the mete r.
Work Out Met er – If the work out m eter gets too low Jib bi will need to work out. Exer cise with Jibb i to increase the m eter.
Trash Meter –
Trash will star t to appear in Jib bi’s room, if too much tr ash
appears J ibbi will get sic k! Ask Jibb i to Clean Up to incre ase the meter.
Boredo m Meter – Jibb i gets bored if yo u do the same acti vities over and over. To increase the boredo m meter visit di fferent ga me play areas of ten.

Fortun e Teller – Does Jib bi know your futu re? Ask Jibbi a qu estion that can be ans wered ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, concentrate ver y very hard and Jibbi will answe r!
Let’s Hang O ut Mode – Thi s mode includ es all of the aweso me activi­ties includ ing dress up, dan cing, playing w ith Toys and exercising !
Dance – Jib bi loves to dance ! Choose Hip H op, Rock, Disc o or Country a nd watch Jibbi move to the m usic!
Dress Up – J ibbi likes to tr y new looks. Choo se Hats, Out fits, Glasses o r Outrageou s and give Jibbi a wh ole new makeover. Don’t forget to earn J ibbi beans to bu y new clothes at th e Jibbi Mall !
Play Wit h Toys – Jibbi loves to play. Look in Jibb i’s toy box and you will find Cra zy Robot, Paint ing, Bouncy Bal l and Magic Trick. Don’t forget to earn J ibbi beans to bu y new toys at the Jibbi toy sto re!
Exerci se – No pain no gai n! Jibbi ne eds to stay heal thy and you can help him. To help Jibbi wo rk out, say the word yo u see on scree n, each time you su ccessfull y say the word on scr een Jibbi will s lowly lift the weights. TROUBLE SHOOTING

To locate your auxilia ry channe l, which is usua lly not 3 or 4, but a ga m­ing channel f ound betwee n 2 and 99 (exam ple 2, 1, 0, 99), firs t try 00 to see if it is the au xiliary c hannel. Chan nels downwards f rom 3 until a Line 1 or Line 2, Video 1 o r Video 2, Front, Aux , AV, etc., appears on scree n, then push the p ower button on th e game and it sho uld automatic ally come on if you have se lected the co rrect chan nel. If this doe s not work, another way to dete rmine your auxi liary cha nnel is to take a loo k at your television re mote. There may b e a button on the re mote that may take you directly to t he correct c hannel. The bu ttons you are lo oking for may be labeled I nput, AUX, AV, Line, TV/ Video, or Video. If your remo te has one of these bu ttons, turn you r television ba ck to Channel 3 and s elect that button. T he power butto n on the game sho uld be turned on i n order for the game to ap pear on the televi sion. If your tele vision remote d oes not have any of these b uttons, and c hannel 00 is n ot working, you may need to searc h the main menu fo r a way to determine you r auxiliar y channel. If no ne of these meth ods have helped yo u locate your aux iliary channel, you m ay need to check yo ur owner’s manual a nd/or co ntact a local televi sion repair c ompany.
VCR
When conne cting to a VCR, you mus t first star t with a blue bac kground showing on your te levision scr een. To obtain a blue sc reen, try in serting a videotape i nto the VCR, let it sta rt to play, then hit the s top button. Th is may give you a blue sc reen, then you c an channel dow n to your auxiliar y channel. If th e blue scree n still does not a ppear, try enter ing your TV and/or VC R main menu and s ee if it gives you opt ions to select a b lue screen bac kground. Many tim es if you enter the m ain menu on your television you c an change the s etting from c able to video a nd display a blue scree n. Also if you have an o lder televisi on, you may locate a hi d­den door on you r television tha t has color, pictur e, horizontal, ve rtical, and cable, an tennae butto ns. If your televis ion include s this panel, you can select t he antennae /cable button and see th e blue screen a ppears. If you have tried al l of these option s and are still un successf ul connect­ing the conso le, then you may nee d to check your VCR owne r’s manual or contact th e manufactur er to find out how to set up yo ur VCR for console ga mes.
Remember, you can’ t play our games t hrough a cabl e box or satellite, so if you own one of thes e make sure it is tur ned off befo re connectin g the game. You can conne ct our games th rough DVD player s with the same connectio n as a VCR.

Set Clock – I n order for the in ternal cloc k to function pro perly it is necessa ry to set the cur rent time. The J ibbi unit has a n internal clo ck which when se t will allow Jibbi to a sk you to come play whe n Jibbi gets bored. T his will only ha ppen betwe en 1pm – 7pm, so don’t worry about Jibbi wa king you up in the mi ddle of the night !
