The Radial USB-Pro™ is a 24-bit digital to analog audio converter and direct box that is

designed to transfer digital audio les to a balanced mic level signal suitable for a PA system,
recorder or broadcast feed. One merely connects a laptop computer to the USB-Pro using
a standard USB type-B cable. The USB-Pro derives its power from the USB connection
and will automatically congure itself to most computers without the need for special drivers
to be loaded. Audio may be tested using the front panel earphone outlet and adjusting the
level to suit. A mono switch can be activated to test for phase issues or to send the output
to two separate audio systems. Side access switches enable the user to introduce isolation
transformers to eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops. This is supplemented with
a ground lift switch that lifts pin-1 on the two XLRs. The USB-Pro can be used for audio
playback, system testing and for transferring digital audio les to analog for processing.

LEVEL: Used to adjust both the main stereo
and headphone output signal levels.

MONO: Sums the stereo signal to mono
to reduce the channel count or feed two
sources simultaneously.

USB TYPE-B PORT: Connects from the PC
or Mac. This delivers the digital audio signal
and power to the USB-Pro which automatically
recognizes the format.

HEADPHONE: Mini 3.5mm (1/8”) TRS
headphone output is used to check the
signal from the digital source.

BOOK END DESIGN: Creates a protective
zone around the jacks and switches.

STEREO XLR OUTPUTS: Standard XLR
male outputs follow the AES format with
pin-1 ground, pin-2 hot, pin-3 cold.

NO SLIP PAD: Provides electrical and
mechanical isolation and keeps the unit
from sliding around.

GROUND LIFT: Used to help eliminate
hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
Lifts pin-1 on both XLRs.

Using the USB-Pro with a laptop

Nothing is simpler than the USB-Pro! You plug
it into your laptop and it automatically delivers
your digital audio les to spectacular sounding
stereo audio via the 24-bit converters. You
merely connect to the mic inputs on your
mixing console and you are set to go!

Using the USB-Pro in the studio

Convert your client’s les instantly! Simply
connect the laptop to the USB-Pro and
transfer les to the recording system at the
maximum sample rate for best audio delity.
The built-in headphone amp makes it easy to
check for signal integrity.

Using the USB-Pro for a video presentation
