The Radial TwinCity is a, high performance active Class-A guitar amp selector that lets you
seamlessly transition between two amps without the switching noise, hum or tone loss
generally encountered when using passive switchers.
The signal path begins with the same buffer as employed in the award winning Radial JD7
Injector™. This is augmented with Drag™ control load correction to replicate the tone and
feel as if connecting your guitar directly to a tube amplier. One simply depresses the AB
Toggle switch to select outputs or combines them using the Both footswitch. Large LED
indicators make it easy to know where you are at all times, no matter how dark the stage.
Output-B is equipped with an isolation transformer to eliminate hum and buzz caused by
ground loops plus a 180° polarity reverse to ensure your two amps are in phase. Simply
engage the ground-lift to further reduce noise problems.
The TwinCity employs Electronic Impulse Switching (EIS) for quiet, pop-free switching even
when using high gain amps. The space-saving design assures the TwinCity will t perfectly
on all pedalboards while the 9V operation makes it easy to integrate with any power brick.

Using the TwinCity with Two Guitar Amps
Combining amps can often lead to horrendous buzz and hum. The Twin-
City eliminates the problem with transformer isolation and a polarity reverse
switch that sets both amps in phase.

Drag™ Control
Originally introduced on the Radial JD7 Injector as a means to correct the
loading that is lost when a guitar signal passes through an ‘amplication
stage’ or a buffer. Here’s the scoop: When you connect your guitar directly
to your amp, the amplier’s input impedance reacts with the pick-up and this
relationship plays a critical role in the tone of the instrument. Since the Twin-
City is essentially a pre-amplier, it actually turns your passive guitar into an
active one. The problem is that your guitar no longer ‘sees’ your amplier.
It is seeing a ‘perfect’ load from the TwinCity. But no matter how perfect
‘perfect’ is, sometimes perfect may not sound right. Drag control lets you to
reintroduce the relationship that is lost.
