THREE MODULE POWER RACK

The Powerstrip is a single space, 19” rack-mount power rack for 500 series modules. The
unique three module rackmount design makes it particularly cool as it enables the user to
create a channel strip by combining a preamp, EQ and compressor in a standard 1 RU format.
Each channel features XLR input and output that are paralleled to ¼” TRS connectors. This
enables cross-patching or parallel processing by using the XLRs as module i/o and the TRS
connectors to split the signal. Feeding one channel into the next is done using a simple feed
switch. And for stereo-ready modules, a simple link switch may be engaged. The Powerstrip
is particularly useful for engineers who want to take their 500 series studio preamps and
effects on the road as it can easily be integrated into any standard 19” rack.

Shared power pool

The Powerstrip employs a shared power pool
whereby each module will draw a certain amount
of current from the total. The Powerstrip has
500 milliamps available. You simply add up the
amount of draw for each module as specifi ed
by the manufacturer. This examples shows the
Powerstrip loaded with three Radial modules.

The Powerstrip is perfect for creating
the ultimate channel strip. Combine the
PowerTube™ preamp with the Q3™ induction
coil EQ and the Komit™ single knob compressor

Powerstrip as a Bass Preamp

Plug your Jazz bass into the JDV-Pre™ for
exceptional clarity and realism. Then mess it
all up (if you like) using the EXTC™ and your
favorite pedals before gently squeezing it using
the Komit compressor.

Powerstrip as a stage mixer

Create a compact mixer with the Radial SubMix
module to combine 4 keyboards and then feed
the output to the EXTC to add effects pedals and
the Shuttle to add in your favourite digital effects
processor.
