The mPress™ is a modular press box that is both feature-rich and compact, and can be expanded to meet the needs of any size of event. This powerful distribution amplier features dual microphone inputs with 48V phantom power, high pass lters and a built-in limiter to prevent signal overload. Eight balanced XLR outputs are provided for the press gallery and can be individually switched to feed either mic or line level recording devices. For larger events, Exo-Pod™ modules can be seamlessly integrated with the mPress to drastically expand the number of available outputs. Each external Exo-Pod module provides an additional ten balanced XLR outputs and four 3.5mm TRS connections, which are all globally set to either mic or line level to connect to various portable recorders. All of these outputs are transformer isolated to prevent hum and buzz from ground loops.

Using the Exo-Pods in conjunction with the mPress allows you to scale up your system without also increasing the jumble of cables that typically accompanies larger setups. Up to four Exo-Pods can be daisy-chained from each mPress output, creating zones for different groups or spacing out a large press gallery. For easy calibration and troubleshooting, the mPress features a switch to activate a 1kHz test tone to each of the gallery outputs, along with a headphone output and level control for monitoring. A main stereo output is provided to feed a pair of powered speakers for the audience with RCA, ¼” TRS and 3.5mm program inputs to play background music leading up to the event.

MIC 1/2: Used to connect the two microphones including switchable 48V phantom power.

POWER: 100V to 40V input with secure connection for the power supply.

MAIN OUTPUTS: XLR and ¼” TRS outputs are used to feed a pair of powered speakers to supply audio to the audience.

LIMITER: Used to prevent loud signals from clipping and distorting recorder inputs.

MIC 1/2 LEVEL: Gain control, high

pass lter and on switch for each

microphone, with LED metering.

GALLERY OUTPUTS 3-8: Dual level outputs used to feed individual recording devices or Exo-Pod modules.

LOW/HIGH: Recessed switch sets the output to feed a mic level recorder or a line level device / Exo-Pod module.

PROGRAM: Activates front and rear program inputs to connect music playback devices and control their level to the main outputs.

TEST TONE: Activates a 1kHz test tone to easily calibrate recorder inputs.

GALLERY OUTPUTS 1/2: Dual-level outputs that can feed mic or line level recording devices or Exo-Pod modules.

PHONES: ¼” TRS headphone output with level control.

MIC INPUTS : Wired in parallel with the front panel XLR inputs.

PROGRAM INPUTS: 1/4” and RCA music playback inputs are wired in parallel with the front program inputs.

XLR LOOP THRU: Used to feed

additional Exo-Pods when used with the mPress.

3.5mm OUTPUT: Four transformer isolated mini TRS outputs to connect a hand held recorder or laptop.

Each of the eight balanced outputs can be used to feed the press gallery recorders or Exo-Pod modules to increase the number of available outputs while reducing cable clutter.

XLR INPUT: Balanced input capable of handling levels up to +24dB.

XLR OUTPUT: 10 XLR-M transformer isolated outputs to connect a recorder or camera.
