INTRODUCTION
The Radial Power-2 rackmount power supply and surge suppressor gives musicians, engineers, producers, studio owners, commercial facilities, and anyone working with valuable electronic equipment protection from power surges that can damage or destroy music equipment instantaneously.
Unlike competitive products that utilize low quality MOV’s (Metal Oxide Varistors) for surge protection, Radial’s Power-2 is built using a USA made MOV. This critical component has been proven to o󰀨er superior thermal protection and have a much longer lifespan than the alternatives. An LED indicator on the front panel illuminates when the MOV is active, giving you visual conrmation that your gear is protected from voltage spikes.
Created with audio professionals in mind, the Power-2 employs shunt mode technology and avoids passing contaminated signals to the ground for lower system noise. Additionally, a high-rejection RF interference lter is used to keep high frequencies and AM radio signals out of the power line, preventing contamination of audio signals.
Additionallly, the Power-2 can be used to illuminate the gear in your equipment rack, allowing you to make adjustments on the y without the need to reach for a ashlight. An innovative sliding tray allows you to light up as much or as little rack gear as you like, using LEDs that provide a super-bright & evenly distributed light source. A dim knob is provided to adjust the brightness level, with an additional switch to vary the color of the LEDs between seven di󰀨erent options.
Eight rear panel outlets are provided (four with wall-wart spacing to accommodate any PSU size), along with a front panel outlet and a USB charging port to easily power personal devices. A heavy-duty power on/o󰀨 toggle switch, rugged outlet connectors, and steel construction ensure that the Power-2 performs night after night without fail.

Thank you for purchasing the Radial Power-2 rackmount power supply unit. Before using the Power-2, please read this short manual and heed all warnings and safety precautions listed. Your safety is our top priority! Should you have any questions, please review the FAQ page for this product at www.radialeng.com, or contact us directly at support@radialeng.com.
Note: The Power-2 is a surge suppressor, meaning it blocks high voltage spikes that can damage connected equipment. It does not, however, regulate or stabilize the incoming voltage; this is a task that requires a product called an AC voltage regulator, and may be benecial for applications where unreliable or unsteady power sources are employed.

1. FRONT PANEL OUTLET: This outlet is always on, even when the front panel on/o󰀨 switch is set to ‘o󰀨’. When using the Power-2 as a power source for equipment racks, this allows you to easily connect and charge devices without powering on the entire rack.
2. DIM CONTROL: Adjusts the brightness level of the lights in the sliding LED tray. Turn fully clockwise for maximum illumination.
3. COLOR SWITCH: Pressing this switch selects between seven color options for the lights in the sliding LED tray.
4. SLIDING LED TRAY: This adjustable panel provides illumination of devices mounted below the Power-2 in equipment racks. Press
gently on the center of this panel until the tray pops out, then pull the tray out & away from the faceplate of the Power-2. As you extend this tray further, you will illuminate a larger number of rackspaces below the Power-2, making more of your equipment visible even in a darkened venue.
5. USB CHARGING PORT: 5V/1A USB charging port for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Type-A USB connection.
6. FAULT PROTECTION INDICATOR: This LED illuminates when the Power-2’s Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) is actively working,
providing fault protection against varying resistance and high-voltage spikes from the AC main power source. The MOV is designed to recover from overvoltage events, providing continuous protection for your equipment. Should this LED turn o󰀨, immediately remove the Power-2 from the AC main power source and contact Radial technical support for assistance.
7. ON/OFF: Large rocker switch with backlit LED activates the eight rear panel power outlets. Raised metal anges on either side of this control help prevent accidental switching. If the Power-2 is connected to the AC main power source and the LED for the on/o󰀨 switch doesn’t illuminate, check the circuit breaker on the rear panel.
8. RACK EARS: Allow for mounting in standard 19” equipment racks, taking up 1 rack unit (1RU) of space.
9. POWER CABLE: Hardwired cable for connection to the AC main 120V power source. 9.5' (290cm approx.).
10. CIRCUIT BREAKER: The Power-2 is rated for 15A of current, if this load is exceeded the circuit breaker will pop to help prevent
damage to the Power-2 and connected devices. Should the circuit breaker pop, unplug the Power-2 from the AC main power source and press in the circuit breaker to reset it, then power back up as normal with a lower load connected to the Power-2.
11. REAR PANEL OUTLETS: Eight rear power outlets are provided, four with additional spacing in between each outlet to accomodate for large ‘wall-wart’ power supplies. These power outlets are controled by the front panel on/o󰀨 switch.
