Radial Smar t S h e e tBIGSHOT I /O - E F X - A B Y
The BIGSHOT line of true bypass switcher / routers is designed for players looking for elegant and transparent ways to switch instruments, effects
and amps. Common to the BigShot line is; 1) heavy-duty true bypass footswitches, and 2) passive design (requires no power supply or batteries).
BigShots are compact to fit on pedalboards and made from heavy-duty 14 gauge steel to take plenty of abuse from professional touring. The BigShot
line is a perfect addition to any guitar setup. Dimensions 3.75” x 3.75 x 2” (93mm x 93mm x 52mm)
BigShot i/o - The BigShot i/o is an instrument selector that lets you
toggle between two instruments while using the same amplifier. Completely
passive and 100% true bypass, the BigShot i/o does not buffer the signal or
introduce any tonal shift whatsoever. This makes it perfect for tone fanatics
that insist on retaining the natural tone of the instruments.
To add versatility, the BigShot i/o is equipped with a ‘dim’ switch and level
control that allows instrument input-2 to be shunted or reduced so that both
levels going to the amp are the same. A good application would be connecting
a passive electric guitar or bass to input-1 and an active acoustic guitar or
bass to input-2. The louder instrument with its built-in preamp would
obviously be turned down so that both instruments would play at a similar
level. In an effort to simplify on-stage tuning, we have included a tuner-out
that can be set to “always on” or be activated while muting the signal to the
amp. Perfect for multi-instrumentalists!
BigShot EFX - The BigShot EFX is a compact true bypass effects
loop selector that allows you to bring in or take out two sets of pedals into
your guitar signal path. It features two completely separate loops, each with
individual send and return 1/4” jacks that can be selected individually or
combined in series. Since the BigShot EFX is completely passive, it will not
introduce any gain or buffering circuitry that could alter the original tone.
Using the BigShot is particularly great with older pedals that are not truebypass and can rob tone or introduce noise into the signal path. With the
EFX, those old pedals are only brought into play when needed! To add
versatility, the second loop may be set to mute position and used as a tunerout to allow quiet tuning on stage. Additionally, each loop features a ground
lift switch to reduce hum caused by ground loops.

BigShot ABY - The BigShot ABY is a true bypass amp selector that
allows you to play two amplifiers from one guitar and toggle between the
amps or play both at the same time. Because it is 100% passive there is no
buffer and therefore, no need for powering or batteries. This also means that
it does not impart any tonal change when performing basic A-B switching
between amplifiers.
To add versatility, the BigShot ABY is equipped with an isolation transformer and 180º polarity reverse on output B. These features combine to
provide a means for a guitarist to connect two ‘incompatible’ amplifiers together that would otherwise cause hum and noise due to grounding issues.
When used after a buffered signal, the effect of the transformer is minimal.
When used without a pre-buffered signal, the player compensates on amp B
for any perceived tonal shift caused by the transformer. The transformer may
be switched out of the signal path for amp setups without grounding issues.
A ground lift is also provided as a means to further suppress noise caused by
ground loops. For even greater connection ease, a separate tuner-out jack is
provided that is common to the input.
